    Aspect Ratio

I have Creator 2010 on my Win7 desktop and Creator 2011 on my Win7 laptop. When I burn a video to DVD, the original video is in wide screen, but the resulting DVD shows the video in a standard size. (Square for lack of a better explanation). I can't seem to find the settings do burn it as a wide screen view. Thanks. Bruce

    Size Of File

I have three videos in a folder. Each is under 1GB and the total is 2.7GB. However, when I add these three videos to a project to burb, it says the size is over 6GB. Any thoughts on that? Bruce

OK. I'm trying to put 10lbs of **** in a 5lb bag. I'll use more disks. Thanks. Case closed.

I had it set to Fit To Disk, but no setting works. So, it's basicly, what I see is what I get?

Well, as it turns out, it was a setting on my camera. Sorry about taking up your time on this, but I really do appreciate all the comments from everyone. I have another topic and I'll start a new thread. Thanks again.

You are probably right. Where do I find Videowave? Is that a part of Creator 2011 and 2010, or another program altogether?

Ahhh. That looks like what I have been trying to find but couldn't. I changed it to 16.9. Gotta go right now but I'll post back when I test it later. Thanks everyone.

    Dvd Playback Issue

When I burn video to DVD, when watching on my TV, about every 2~3 minutes there is a quick green flash and a break in the audio. The source of the video doesn't matter. It can be from either of my two cameras, or video downloaded from the Web. Any thoughts?

    Dvd Playback Issue

Just wanted to update this issue. A new DVD player solved the problem. All the local stores were pushing Magnavox, so I ended getting this one online. iView 102 DV All Region MPEG-4 DivX AVI WMA MP3 Slim DVD Player PAL/NTSC http://www.deal800.com/iView-102-DV-All-Region-MPEG-4-DivX-AVI-WMA-MP3-Slim-DVD-Player-PALNTSC_p_399.html# It doesn't have a USB port, but otherwise is great, inexpensive and works fine. The remote has 53 buttons and I have only figured out about 5 so far, but tested a few DVDs and all is well. Thanks to all that replied. I'll leave it up to you to close this thread. Regards, Bruce

    Dvd Playback Issue

You're welcome. I post in the MS newsgroups, and now forums, and was an MVP from 2004~2010, so I appreciate what you people do and always appreciated feedback from the OP as to the final fix for an issue. Going DVD Player shopping tomorrow and have a hunch I won't come home with a Magnavox. Cheers, Bruce Hagen

    Dvd Playback Issue

OK, everyone. First, let me thank you for your time and apologize for wasting it. I posted this because: *The problem I described only happened with DVDs I made and not pre-recorded videos like a movie from Blockbuster. *It was apparent when viewed in my DVD player and also a friends. This led me to believe Roxio was the problem. I took a DVD to another friend to try and it worked fine. I have a Magnavox DVD player and so does my friend I originally tested with, although a different model. The person I just tried it with and had good results was using a Sony DVD player. So, the bottom line is: Tomorrow, I will be purchasing a new DVD player and it will not be a Magnavox. Once again, thank you for responding. Bruce

    Dvd Playback Issue

Roxio Creator 2010. That's what it says on the box and installation CD. As I said, this also happens on my XP machine with MyDVD 10 Premier. I timed it and the flash is every 64 seconds. I am grunt to seek out a third DVD player to test, but it does not happen with a pre-made DVD move like you would buy or rent. I'll be back when I have more info for you.

    Dvd Playback Issue

Hi: I use the Create DVDs icon on the Creator 10 homepage and then the Add New Movie function. I select and add the movie. I have many brands of DVDs. Phillips. Sony. Magnavox, etc. If any other programs are open, it would be my browser and, or e-mail. But it happens even if no programs are open. This is a Windows 7 Ultimate. I also have an XP with MyDVD 10 Premier and the results are the same if I use that to create the DVD. The green flash does not seem to appear if I watch the video on my computer, but it does on a friends DVD player & TV as mine. My DVD player is a Magnavox. Not sure of my friends brand. I have an older DVD player I am going to hook up and try and see the results. Thank you.

    Screen Resolution Issue

Newly purchased and installed Creator 2010 Version: 1.2.193 SP2.1;5.0.0.0 I have a Dell Inspiron 546 running Windows 7 with a 24" Wide Screen Dell S2409W Full HD Monitor. The recommended screen resolution is 1920 x 1080. I have been running it at 1280 x 720 which is the lowest I can get away with and still have normal looking windows. When I want to do some jobs with the Creator 2010, it will not even respond unless I change to 1024 x 768 as the prompt suggests. When I do this, I can use Creator 2010 fine, but all other pages, Websites, e-mail, etc., are way out of a usable resolution. Besides not being able to do anything else on the computer until I finish with Creator, when I revert back to the original resolution, I have to resize a few windows and reorganize Desktop icons that were shoved around. Is there any tweak or trick to make this a more user friendly program? I appreciate any suggestions. Bruce

    Screen Resolution Issue

Thanks for replying. I have absolutely no problem seeing the Roxio screen that opens up. The problem is that when I click Create DVDs, I get this error message. Screen shot: http://i49.tinypic.com/21lr706.png Last time I looked, the 1280 x 720 resolution I am using is higher than the 1024 x 768 size Roxio wants/needs me to change to before it becomes operative.

    Screen Resolution Issue

I know it's easy to change the resolution in Win7, but it's a PITA to not be able to use other Web pages while a burning project is in progress. Something that may take a couple of hours. And also resizing the windows and rearranging Desktop icons when done. It's a shame a modern program can't meet modern OS requirements. Thanks for your reply though. I know where you're coming from. No problem and thank you for your time. I guess tech support will get back to me someday.

    Emc 10 Won't Start

A few days ago, my EMC 10 stopped responding. I removed it per Roxio's directions, (Used Windows Install Clean Up, deleted program files and registry keys, etc.). I then rebooted and reinstalled with my AV and all other programs disabled. The install says it was successful, but when I try to open the program, I get the splash screen for a few seconds and then an error dialog box: "Could not complete the last command. Unknown error". I scanned my machine with Malwarebytes and had a HijackThis log reviewed and there does not appear to be any bug problems. I put in a tech support request Sunday and received a ticket number, but they mus be busy and I've got some burning that need to get done. Thanks for any thoughts on this.

I did it three times before I contacted Roxio support and twice since. I had the download saved in a folder on my machine. To make sure that wasn't contaminated, the last time I used a copy of the original download I made and copied to DVD the day I purchased this program.

Thank you, but that is exactly what I did. What I meant by, "Per Roxio's directions".
