    Dvd Burning Problem

the dvd is messed up. there is pixelation problems and glitches in the encoding or something. so im guessing it has to be something with the drive. what is a good cheap external drive compatible with mac?

    Dvd Burning Problem

cds and video burns are different arent they? so if a cd burns but a dvd doesnt it could still be the burner right? i havent tried a cd but i have tried every way possible to burn a dvd and it just doesnt work.

    Dvd Burning Problem

i went on the apple forums and a user tried helping me out with a bunch of different options but he also thinks it might be my burner. i called apple and they want $800 to fix optical laser..but i found a superdrive for $200. have u tried just using finder to burn? did that work for u?

    Dvd Burning Problem

thanks for the topic..ive tried two different types of dvds and tried using toast and just drag and drop burns. nothing is working. i think my burner is shot which is a shame cuz ive only had this mac for about 2years.

    Dvd Burning Problem

I tried using finder to burn. at first i got an error code of 0x8002006d..then i tried a lower write speed and it burned 26 percent before i got a error code of -36. so im guessing its my burner. do u have any ideas as to what it could be. do i need to replace my superdrive or just the laser?

    Dvd Burning Problem

I have a macbook pro. i try using toast to burn and it gets past the encode phase and then halfway into burn it just goes back to the start page. i tried avi files and even converted a dvd i have to copy. is this a toast problem or a burner problem?
