    Old .avi Problem

Sorry. I am not familiar with all these fine products. I have roxio Creator2010 PRO. I know I should be more attentive to various versions and product variations but I have been busy trying to get some work done. Regards, Bert

    Old .avi Problem

I think I need to find an old cedec or something. I used an old .avi called "Old1 SMPTE.avi" that I got from a really old version of Videowave (Version 3, I think??.) It still worked on my computer with Creator 09 under XP. I loaded Windows 7 and Creator 10, but now I get the messages "File format not supported. Please install appropriate decoders to play this file." from Cineplayer, and a message in Videowave that says the file might be old or corrupted. How to I go about loading old codecs without screwing up my current setup? The configuration listed below is before I went to Windows 7 and Creator 10.

    Setup Halts At Emc11 -

Ups, I just saw that after I posted, and yes, it did work. Thanks. I was kind of freaking out there.

    Setup Halts At Emc11 -

After having used Creator Ultimate for several months successfully (and coming to depend on it), I tried to open it today. I got a message that it was not installed properly and could not open. I saw from the Start menu I could go to the individual programs but not the main menu program, but I did not leave well enuf alone. I tried to reinstall the program as the message said. It removed all the programs and then the installation stopped with the message "EMC11 Content - You must install Roxio Easy Media Creator 10 before installing the content." I went to the control panel and removed what was left of Creator 2009 and then removed the folders for it. It still won't install. I found the pinned note on this forum that said to delete dsetup.dll. I did a search and can't find that on the computer. How do I reinstall this program. I am on a tight schedule and I need to get some work done. I use VideoWave for work. Or at least I did.

    Legacy Projects In Video Wave

I guess that is what I will have to do. Too bad there is no way to modify the project file so it will work. Bert

    Legacy Projects In Video Wave

I guess I'm stuck. I'm afraid to load the old program - it would probably screw up the drivers.

    Legacy Projects In Video Wave

I have several old project I created in an older version of Video Wave (Version 4.0). Is there any way to open them in the current version that comes with C2009? The new version is looking for a different file extension.

    Starting Sonicfire And Soundsoap

Frank and malatekid, Thanks. I guess I was confused when I saw some Sonicfire files installe from the first CD, and when I clicked on the Sonicfire install program on that disk, it said they were already there. Then I put the second disk in, and it said I had to use the control panel to change settings, so I took it out again. When I looked at the second disk again after reading you guys posts, I used to explorer to look at the disk, and I found other installers for these two programs. Those installers actually installed the two programs and now I have them on my start menu. So everything is ok. At least until tomorrow, when I post some other questions. Thanks again. Bert

    Starting Sonicfire And Soundsoap

Never mind. I just found other installation programs for these apps on the second CD, and they worked. Sorry to bother you. I fon't know what got installed from the first disk. Maybe it was an earlier version of SonicFire or something. I know it put a lot of files for this app on my disk. Thanks for your help. Now, my second question. Is there a pdf of the manual that I can really download. I clicked on one link and there was nothing there. Bert

    Starting Sonicfire And Soundsoap

Thanks for the tip. But I saw them being installed when the installation happened, and when I clicked on the install program from the DVD, it told me the programs were already installed on my computer.

    Starting Sonicfire And Soundsoap

I just got Roxio Creator 2009 Ultimate and installed it. Everything seemed to go well. I have no idea how to run SonicFire or Soundsoap. THere are not options on the main menu for this, there are no icons for it on my desktop, and it is not in my start> all programs menu. What am I missing here?
