  1. I'm not sure where to post this and if there is a better place could the Mods please move it. Anyway I have MyDVD Lab version 10 and am trying to make DVD's of some of my DVR-MS files. The problem is the audio seems a hair out of sync. I see an article and a link to a "Hotfix" when I went to support, http://kb.roxio.com/search.aspx?URL=/conte...4CR&PARAMS= That says: VideoWave or MyDVD Projects using DVR-MS files out of sync Products Easy Media Creator 8, 7 WinOnCD 8 MyDVD 8 VideoWave 8, 7 Issue When using DVR-MS files in a VideoWave or MyDVD, it is possible that the finished project is out of sync. That means the audio may be slightly ahead or behind the video that is shown. Resolution Please close any running instances of VideoWave or MyDVD and then download and install the following hotfix: http://tools.roxio.com/support/c8/dvrms_hotfix.exe Once the installation is complete you should be able to open your saved project and produce (VideoWave) or burn to disc (MyDVD) without experiencing this problem. Would this hotfix help me and my version 10 or is there something else I should try?
  2. Okay I know that Creator 2009 Ultimate is Vista x64 compatible according to what I found in the KB but what I'm wondering is it it actually an X64 app or does it need to be ran in X86 32 compatible mode? Am building a new system and trying to decide which program I really want to install as I have both Creator and Nero 9 but I know Nero runs its stuff in compatibility mode
  3. My apology for reposting but think I originally posted this question in the wrong area and couldnt figure out a way to move it. Anyway what I'm wondering about the best way to do thing's. I had Roxio MyDVD Video Lab 10 installed and decided to upgrade to Create 2009 Ultimate. While browsing my program files I noticed that I have 2 directories "Roxio", which has all the old versions of MyDVD Video Lab apps ver 10 and "Create 2009 Ultimate" which contains all the newer Ver 11 apps. When I installed Create I had just sort of assumed that it would remove the older MyDVD stuff since it had newer versions of all the apps but apparently it didn't and so the lab folder is taking up over a gig of my HD space. Is it safe to just use Add/Remove Programs and remove MyDVD Video Lab 10 or will that cause problem with Create 2009 Ultimate

    Removing Older Apps

I guess I didn't name the app correctly so you got confused. The old app I'm asking about removing is called "Roxio MyDVD Video Lab 10" which is a Roxio product and basically has older, Ver 10 apps that were included in "Roxio Creator 2009 Ultimate" which was why I originally expected that the newer app would remove the old one.
  5. Seen alot of posts concerning ppl having problems installing Creator 2009 Ultimate on Vista systems and I'm kind of worried. I'm about to upgrade to a new computer which will have Vista x64 SP1 Ultimate on it. Have the install problems been solved? Sounds like my best bet from what I've read around here is, before I install any updates to Vista via windows update I should install Creator 1st. Would that maybe eliminate the problems others have ran into?

  7. Hope someone can help me. My roomate was trying to use his computer to try and copy a DL movie dvd his sister had professionaly made of family events using MyDVD Lab. But everytime he tries to make a copy he gets errored out at the half way point. I've checked and even tho the disc was professionally made it doesnt have any copy protection, which was my first thought, so I'm at a loss He runs MyDVD and selects the copy disc option it seems to copy the disc fine but then when it starts burning at the half way point, where the layer change takes place I'm assuming, he gets the following error mssg: "D:TSST corp CDDVDW SH-S202H ("Write error - Medium Error."[03/0C/00])" Any suggestions what he is doing wrong or how to deal with the problem. Seems to me its having some sort of hickup at the layer change and Im not sure how to fix it for him. Of course he expects me to pull the solution out of thin air which is annoying.
  8. Could someone please point me towards a guide on how one might copy/create a regular DVD of a movie from a blu-ray dvd? Im hoping it isn't too difficult to do. Unfortunately not many Bluray disks include a standard DVD as well so what I would like to be able to do is rip/convert the main movie on Bluray discs I buy so that they can be also be used in my old player which I plan to install in the basement playroom. Thx in advance
  9. Yep their listed. (Awards grandpabruce with a Qupiee Doll)
  10. Plug-in hide n seek LOL. A new fun game one can play all alone
  11. Hmm my reciept only listed 2 download links: 1 was "RoxioCreator2009Ultimate_DownloadManager.exe" and the other was the rebate form: emc2009u_20_34144_Ultimate_20.pdf The invoice only showed 3 serials (Creator 2009 Ultimate --Sonicfire--Soundsoap) and the dl manager only wanted to download 3 files: FN56I010R14_Creator2009Ultimate_11.0.exe The main app install FP19AZS0SQA_EMC11Content_7Lang.exe This file contained stuff like Photosuite 11, VideoU11, audioCore plus some common files FQ01B010000_Creator2009Ultimate3rdPartySW.zip This one contained 2 app installs: Soundsoap SE installer SonicFIrePro4.55.exe No mention was made of needing to dl a fourt file that is just the plugin. Mind you Ultimate is supposed to come with the plug-in without needing to make a seperate purchase. Wondering if I got the plug in or not now. Thats why I wondered if there was some way to check that the plug-in is there

    Mydvd Versions

Ah, thx for the info I was right clicking on the actual exe's and getting my version number from its properties for both versions of mydvd. I launched MyDVD from Creator Ultimate 2009 and checked the "about" box and it shows as Build 111B10E ENU like you said it should. When I launch Mdvd from the mydvd 10 premier group and click its about option it says that version is 111B43A. Wonder if there is going to be an update tom Creator 2009's version in the near future or what the diffrence might be.
  13. Just wondering if there is some way of checking that the plug-in for HD was actually installed when I installed creator 2009 ultimate. I never noticed any sort of extra file to download and not sure where I would look to confirm it is there Thx

    Mydvd Versions

Just curious on something I had MyDVD10 premeir and then decided to buy Creator Ultimate2009. What Im wondering is is there any diffrence between the 2 versions of MyDVD? The one from Premeir is version 10.1.something but the one that installed with Creator is 10.0.6 or so.
