  1. Bit   have you ever tried the Slide Show program in Windows 10?    I have no other suggestions.   Has the client used Roxio programs like Video wave?

Yes, the Corel photo editing program seems to be complex but there are "automatic" settings to make it easier.

Pinnacle has SmartMovie as their slide show offering.

At one time you could download the PhotoShows from the web and save them.  I don't know if that is still available.  As with other software, if Flash goes away, your client will need to get other current software anyway.

Yvette, did you try  FastFlicks or any other video editing program to make your  slide shows?    Google for other software.

Rizzo, get Yvette, BitGuru, his client and a whole lot others to see what can be done to resurrect PhotoShow by contacting Roxio/Corel.  It would have to be a whole new program though.

  2. Does you client still pay for an annual subscription to PhotoShow?   I stopped using it years ago because of all the problems/changes with it.

I'm not even sure that FastFlick is available as a standalone.   it is available as part of NXT7 and may be available as part of a Corel higher priced offerings.  It is doubtful that Corel will try to support 2 slide show programs.  Since YouTube and other free sites are available - with and without security, is there a need for this type of program?

If you have a client, I'm sure that you know the currently available slide show programs - some free.

  3. In Video Wave, switch to storyline view.  Do you see the blank (black ) panels there.  If so, remove them.   If they are supposed to be images that you want, then check the blanks panels for format and other properties.  They may be too large or a wrong format.

If you don't see the black panels,  y ou should be able to guess which one they are in the storyline.  Edit those as necessary.

  4. I'm  almost 78 so I also didn't grow up around computers but was able to read and act on one step at a time.   I took a quick look at the dxdiag.  It gives the errors that you have experienced on your computer listed near the end.  You have several including several graphics programs -  including MS Paint,  AfterShot, Content Merger (Roxio),   There may be some problem with your display such as old drivers,  with WINDOWS  or other not as visible.

Perhaps it is time to work with someone closer to you.  I'm also going to forward this topic to someone that is better to help you.

  5. Please run and post the results of  the dxdiag.exe evaluation of your compute(It is a Windows thing).   How did or did you uninstall 2011?

Go to your NXt 7 disc or download and click on repair.  Do not use reinstall because you have only a limited number of installs before you have to contact Corel/Roxio to reset the number of allowed installs.  Try this first.   If this doesn't work,

Something broke when you upgraded to W10.   If you haven't already made several installations of NXT 7,  you can use the free  REVO Uninstaller in the moderate mode only. to uninstall the 2011 and the NXT 7.  You can then install what you want.

Has anyone come across an error code 2147500035 if so how to sort it out please  Thanks

With the limited info you provided, I suggest that you search there forums for that error code.  There are several topics that list that code.  You will have to pick the one that fits your setup. Also since you are new, I want to remind you that this is not tech support --- just us users here !

Thanks for the reply. I am backing up to an external HD 2 T in size. Will check out the link that you gave.

I was my thought that if the made this software they would have set it up so that it update existing files and folders while adding anything new.

    Thanks again

I don't know, there maybe someone else who does know.  Since it is fast in doing the back up, I would imagine that it would back up whatever is on the computer at the time of the backup.

Oh, also I forgot to mention the videos on YouTube that may also help.

  8. Are you asking about a word or phrase or a longer phrase.  What are you going to put in its place?

Split the video into sections around the offending phrase and deselect the audio in that part.  You may have to stretch out the timeline to get just the selection you want.

Edit: Make sure the native audio track is showing.

  9. I don't have PhotoShow on this computer.  If I remember that, in the dim, dark past, that the problem may be related to the size and resolution of the images.  If you are still playing for PhotoShow, contact Roxio/Corel support.

PhotoShow should have been euthanized many years ago and subscriptions refunded after a suitable time for people to download their PhotoShows.

See if you can find a free version of Corel's FastFlick.  It  used to be readily available but now is part of other Corel Products.  USe it with templates to make a video file and then use Power2Go (free) to burn it to disc.

No,  we have no inside information.

You have struggled with your problem for several versions and at least 2 1/2 years.  Perhaps it is time to try another product from Corel  (Pinnacle or Video Studio) some have free trials.  If you have the same audio problems, then perhaps it is time to look at your computer/speakers/connections, etc.   There are dozens of other software programs out there-  perhaps one of those will be to your liking.  Don't forget that Microsoft has some built in programs also.

    Good luck.

  11. VHS to DVD3 is the name and purpose of the program. and yes, two entries are correct.  You already know what happens if you try to delete one. Here are some almost helpful tips.

Your question is mp3 files and the subprogram "Sound Editor".  Two different programs.  Sound Editor WILL take mp3 files that are either on your computer or available via audio device through your sound card.  I have several mp3 files on my computer that I bought in the past.  They all imported properly.  What is the source and where are your mp3 files?  What are the properties of the files?

Sorry Mr.Bruce you sound frustrated.  It might be useful to review the help files.  More than half of your posts are either duplicates or non relevant. (please no flaming; I'm trying to help).  In the future is is better if you stay on track.  Most people who reply here will not read your long posts.  Remember we are volunteers and not Roxio/Corel Staff.

  12. Probably just your computer trying to keep up.   Are all the display drivers up to date?  Do you have very little else running at the time?  Do you have a lot of free space on your drives?  If the are not solid state drives, have you defragmented it lately. Please post the dxdiag.exe  evaluation of your computer.  Just attach the txt file to your replay rather than the line by line.

What program/version are you using?  Do you see the freeze on you computer display or on a finished DVD?

Please post the dxdiag.exe  evaluation of your computer.  Just attach the txt file to your replay rather than the line by line.

Maybe.... but with several other people experiencing the same thing (and who knows how many more that don't know about or post in this forum) then we all must have the same 'feature'.

I suspect it's a problem that Roxio needs to diagnose and correct.

EdK,  I'm sure you recognize that you are replying to a thread that is almost 2 years old and that there have been several upgrades/updates.

If you have the same symptom (not necessarily the same problem) please start a new thread and give all you information including the dxdiag.exe  evaluation of your computer.

I have several audio files recorded at two high a volume. Consequently, when I play them back, loud voices and noises are accompanied with a popping sound.

Is there any way, using audio editor to eliminate or decrease these sounds?

    Jim Birke

Think about it - how do you remove the pop without the audio being affected?  You might try to split and remove the pop -- but the audio at the same time will go with it !

A lot of audio programs have been killed for just this same reason.   Try searching for one since the audio programs in the Roxio product won't do it.   In the past I used "Gold Wave" but I don't know if it will help you.
