    Pal To Ntsc Region Conversion

Thanks Digital Guru in Ontario! That link helped! What I discovered is that if I drag the Video_TS folder into the Toast window, the output was the same as the original (PAL). There was no warnings or alerts. However, when I dragged the VOB files as a set to the Toast window, I was alerted to confirm whether I wanted to keep the PAL framerate or Convert to NTSC. Just what I wanted! :-)

    Pal To Ntsc Region Conversion

I recently attempted to use Toast 15 to covert a PAL video file to NTSC. I seem to remember that in an older version of Toast, when this was tried, Toast would give you alert asking if you really wanted to do this. However in Toast 15, I did not receive an alert. Toast just output the video file matching the source (PAL) even though I had selected NTSC in the preferences. Does Toast no longer do this type of conversion? (I found nothing about it in the manual). If Toast does not do this type of conversion, are there any recommendations on software that does? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

    Chapter Markers Question

I recently built a DVD project with over 30 short video files. Each file became a "button" on the main menu. My desire was to be able to jump to the beginning of the next video with the >>| button on my player's remote. Selecting the "Automatic" chapter markers option didn't work. What worked was to manually select chapter markers at 00:00 for every single video file. Question: Does anyone know how to do this without having to manually do this to EVERY SINGLE video file? Seems like a common and straightforward request. Thanks!

Stuck On "filling The Ram Cache" -- Will Not Burn Disk

I tried all sorts of configurations to get the discs to burn (moved source files from external to internal drive; rebuilt the DVD project from scratch, etc.). Nothing worked. I only had success when I reverted back to Toast 11.0.0. Toast 11.1 appears to be the culprit (and wasted A LOT of my time!)

Stuck On "filling The Ram Cache" -- Will Not Burn Disk

Success! I found the original dmg of Toast 11 in my Downloads folder and reinstalled it. Success! The DVD processed and burned fine. One interesting note...the processing and writing seemed to go faster with the older version.

Stuck On "filling The Ram Cache" -- Will Not Burn Disk

Now every single attempts results in a hang at "filling RAM cache!" This sucks!

Stuck On "filling The Ram Cache" -- Will Not Burn Disk

I had this issue when I was attempting to create a DVD using video files that were on an external usb hard drive. When I moved the files to my Mac's internal drive, the problem went away. UPDATE: I had success burning a disc image, but on subsequent tries, the hang at "filling ram cache" returned. :-(

    Toast Downsizing Video And Resolution

I have an MPEG-2 file that is 5.21 GB and looks great when played on my Mac with VLC. When I try to burn it to a dual-layer disc, Toast downsizes the file to 2.64 GB and the resolution is no longer as crisp or sharp. Any idea why this is happening or suggestions? Thanks! Input file 44:15 Video: MPEG-2, 1920 x 1080, 29.97 fps Audio: Dolby Digital 5.1, 48000 Hz Output file Video: MPEG-2, 4.0 Mbps (8.0 Mbps max) Audio: Dolby Digital 192 kbps

Still get audio install error with 10.0.2 in 10.6.1

Yes...I'm getting it too, and so are others who have Toast and have recently upgraded to iTunes 9.0.1. Here is the thread in the Apple Discussion Boards: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?t...3&tstart=15 It appears that this is something Roxio will need to fix...

    Question About Pal/ntsc

I recently burned two avi files to a DVD (DVD Video) which had been downloaded from the internet...and when I played them on my 46" Sony LCD TV (KDL-46W3000) I must say, the video quality was AMAZING! QUESTION: In Toast 10 when I clicked the burn button, is said the files were PAL (they were from the UK) and asked if I wanted to convert to NTSC. I said NO...and burned them as PAL. When I played the disc on my NTSC DVD player...to my flatscreen TV, it played PERFECTLY! Does anyone know why a PAL formatted disc will play on NTSC equipment?
