    Here is the error.

Can't Burn Dvd+Rdl On My Imac

Well, shutting down the Mac for a while seemed to help, but I did get another error. Maybe I'll try cleaning the drive before giving up, I guess. But it will burn DVD-R.

Can't Burn Dvd+Rdl On My Imac

Thanks for the answer. I tried what you said and the "Burn Disc" software just keeps "Waiting for the drive". (see attached image) Does that means that it fails or I did something wrong.

Can't Burn Dvd+Rdl On My Imac

I just tried Verbatim DVD+RDL....SAME ERROR! Where is the problem: Apple or Roxio?

Can't Burn Dvd+Rdl On My Imac

All right, thanks for your suggestions. I never touch the computer while it is writing, only when it is verifying. I'll try the other thing you suggested and I'll report back here. Thanks again.

Can't Burn Dvd+Rdl On My Imac

I have Toast 11.0.4. I'm on Snow Leopard, and my DVD burner is an internal drive: MATSHITA DVD-R UJ-875 and it says that it can burn: Reads DVD: Yes CD-Write: -R, -RW DVD-Write: -R, -R DL, -RW, +R, +R DL, +RW I tried to burn 3 DVD+RDL (MEMOREX BRAND) and I'm getting this error: file attached. It will burn regular DVD-R What should I do to solve this problem.

    Which Toast Should I Buy

Yes, it says +R DL. Thanks.

    Which Toast Should I Buy

The one at work gives me the option to burn CD, DVD, DVD DL (I don't know which version it is thought). At home, 6.0.3 has only CD and DVD as an option – maybe DVD means DVD DL too. I'll have to try it I guess.

    Which Toast Should I Buy

HI, I'm on an iMac, 10.4.11 and I use Toast Titanium 6.0.3. I want to be able to burn DVD Dual layers, mostly for my digital photos. Which product should I buy? Thanks.

Toast 6.1.1 hangs at "Writing Lead-in"

Toast verifies, fills the RAM Cache then hangs when it says: Writing Lead-in So, is that when the buffer starts to fill or after? Model name is SONY DVD RW DW-U18A (I bought it 1.5 years ago – I've always had problems with it but never had the time to troubleshoot it until recently - hugh, I'll know better next time) I tried the Disk image, it didn't work. I've downloaded "Patchbun"; but it says that it works with Disk Burner; the last time I tried Disk Burner it changed the Modified date of all the files it burned – pretty weird way of doing things – it's not acceptable for burning Digital Photos or Graphic Files. If nothing works, I'll have to buy a new one.

Toast 6.1.1 hangs at "Writing Lead-in"

Thanks Dave for the suggestions. I've just tried Verbatim and the first DVD failed to burn (I always burn the DVD at 2x and the CDs at 8X or 12X). By the way I'm trying to burn Digital Photos. Should DVD+R would make a difference? I've got a Blue&White Mac with a G4 Processor in it (450 MHZ), I'm starting to think there might be something not compatible. I don't know much about hardware though.

Toast 6.1.1 hangs at "Writing Lead-in"

So far I've tried Sony, and Staples (Business Depot) DVDs. I guess I'll have to try other brands. No, I haven't upgraded QuickTime yet. I guess I shouldn't?

Toast 6.1.1 hangs at "Writing Lead-in"

Thanks Tsantee, I tried the Disc Image, I trried at 2X, I changed media brand and it still doesn't burn. I was able to burn 4 CDs with it, no problem. Any other ideas?
  14. Mac 10.3.9 Toast 6.1.1 Burning Data Toast can verify, fill Ram cache, then hangs on "Writing Lead-in" I tried 6 times today and it worked 1 time. (So, I have 5 new coasters) Re-started computer 2 or 3 times to no avail. Burner is Sony DVD RW DW-U18A Firewire DVDs are DVD-R. I tried to see if the Burner needs a new Driver; but can't find it (even on Sony Web Site)
