    Video Copy and Convert Problem

Well, it finished and it looks and sounds just fine. It still needs a little trimming and I'll probably put a leader and some titles on it. From now on, though, I'll put my master file on a hard drive instead of in the cloud. Best wishes and once more, great thanks. Ted

    Video Copy and Convert Problem

I haven't tried that, yet. But somehow or other it's finally working. It's half way through rendering now. I worry about the sound, it was terrible in the window where you set the start and finish points. I'll keep you posted.

    Video Copy and Convert Problem

I have an MP4 of the video. It's in a folder in OneDrive. If I click on it in Explorer it starts right up and plays fine. BUT In Videowave, I can find it, it shows up as a thumbnail or detail, but it won't load. If I try to preview it, Videowave hangs: In this picture, you see that the name of the video is highlighted but it doesn't appear down below after "File Name:", as it should. I'd really like to get this thing working but, if I can't, my start point is 3:41:42 and finish point is 3:57:57, should you be willing to make a video for me. Thanks again for all your help. Ted

I first checked it at 3:41:42. HTH. VC&C still loading. I think I'll pull the plug. Ted

    Video Copy and Convert Problem

Hi, Brendon, My intention is to carve out a half-hour segment in the middle of this guy. Actually, it's still showing "Loading" and my little blue hard-drive light is still flickering occasionally and the machine is still available to me for other activities. Do you suppose it loads from start to finish in its presentation time? I think I'll give it few more hours <g>. Here's the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u8NQHA2WG4s. I don't know whether it will start from the beginning or from my starting point at 3:40:40 or thereabouts. It's 6:00 p.m. on Monday here, so it must be 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday in Christchurch. Again, thanks for staying with me on this. Oh, do you have any idea where the file might be loading to? Ted

    Video Copy and Convert Problem

Thanks for your incredibly quick response. OK, I bring up the Roxio Copy and Convert Video app and punch the "Convert Video" and "Web Video" buttons. A pop-up window appears over the lower right quadrant of the app window: "Launch your browser to start viewing the web video" etc. Well, I've got Chrome launched to type this reply to you, so what should I do now? I'll try clicking on the url for the Youtube video I want to work with. Well! Now the pop-up goes away and "my" video appears in the lower right quadrant and is loading. The picture I see is where I want to start copying. But now that other video clip I mentioned appears along side. I have no idea where that comes from. There's no sign of it in Task View. Much later: My video is still loading. It's enormous, complete proceedings of a six-hour conference. I'll just wait and see what happens. Oh, I've got the video paused in Chrome at the point where I want to start copying, It doesn't have to be running to load, does it? Thanks again, Brendon. I'll wait this out and let you know. Ted.
  7. I want to copy a web video (Youtube) but I can't get it. But I'm getting a video that I'm not playing.
  8. I just purchased and installed EMC 8. I can open VideoWave 8. But when I click "Add Photo/Video" in the Add Content panel, the program stalls. I can restart it by opening and closing the Task Manager (Ctl-Alt-Del), but go no further. Tools->Show Media Selector does the same thing. If, instead, I click on "Production" in the top menu, and then on "Add Photo/Video", I get box entitled "VideoWave 8 Application Error". The contents of this box are 'The instruction at "0x0044578a" referenced memory at 0x00000000. The memory could not be "read".' 9. // Can't answer first Q, because I don't think I ever tried VideoWave before. Only popup blockers I have are in Norton Anti-Virus and/or system Security
  10. 1,000 thanks, but before I try these things, my EMC7 home menu does work, and I can start every application except VideoWave. Should I still go ahead with your suggestions?
  11. No matter how I try to start VideoWave, it does not come up at all. If I try from EMC7 Home, Home goes away for a second and then comes right back. If I try from Start, or from My Computer, nothing happens at all. I'm using W2K SP4. I've tried reinstalling. Tech Spt gave me some suggestions, but they seemed to apply only to XP.
