  1. As a quick test, try using a different HDMI input to your Capture unit.... (DVD player, BD player, HDMI output from your computer) .
  2. Try setting your PS4 output to 1080i or 720p. To configure settings ....Settings) > [Sound and Screen] > [Video Output Settings] .

    Red indicates that the device is being recognized properly, but it is not receiving a valid signal.

    The green 'No Signal" means the RGC Device is not recognized by your PC. Open your Device Manager (Win-Pause - Device Manager- Sound and Video Controller), Plug & Unplug the capture device and see what entries show up.

    The green 'No Signal" means the RGC Device is not recognized by your PC. Try this first, turn off your Anti Virus, Firewalls, Registry Cleaners, etc. Unplug your RGC Device and put it aside until you are completely finished. Now insert your Roxio Disc.When you reach the screen where repair is offered, choose that! When the Repair completes, turn your AV & Firewall back on and reboot. Now plug in your RGC device.

    It sounds like you plugged in the Device to your PC before you installed the software.     We need to know how you are connected from your Xbox, What type of cables? HDMI or Component Are you getting a "no signal", if so, is it Red or Green?

    Can someone explain what I'm doing wrong?

    Yellow is Video, Red&White are Audio. The Y/R/W leads from the Roxio unit goes into the AV OUT jack of your VCR. Also make sure you have selected the AV OUT on the VCR unit. You could easily check this out by feeding you VCR output into you TV.

    It appears from the testing you have done you could have a defective capture card. Roxio has a 30 day refund policy...http://shop.roxio.com/store/sonic/html/pbPage.en-returns-cancellations#q3 I don't really have any other ideas. Hopefully someone else will jump in with something else for you to try.

    Did you have the Capture card usb plugged into your computer for the test?. If the answer is yes, make sure the Satellite HDMI is putting out a good signal by connecting it directly into your TV.

    As a quick test, do you have anything else around with an HDMI signal output (DVD player). You can use that to prove the RGC is ok.

    The "red no signal" means the RGC Device is not seeing a valid signal from your Xbox 360 . In your Xbox settings make sure you have the Output set to a specific value 1080i/720p, and not left to 'auto sense'.
