    photoshow Failed to burn error message

    I am so happy to say that after receiving the dreaded RUN TIME ERROR repeatedly, I logged in to some other board today and found a FIX to this problem:) I must say that, in my case, I could see the corruption on my title page. I could see it, but I didn't know what to do about it. FOUND OUT in my case because of the other posters with this error message, that you cannnot use a CARRIAGE RETURN when typing on the title page. You will never burn a show in 6 if you manipulate your title page. You must let the program wrap the words itself. I am so happy. I am doing some super sonic easy burning now.... having said that, too...I did copy the photoshow I was having trouble with to my desktop by finding it under my documents/photoshows and copy then pasting onto the desktop. Step 2, uninstall photoshow and reboot. Step 3 reinstall photoshow from my accounts page. It imported the photoshow from my desktop itself, if I think about it.....I fixed the title page, by the way, BEFORE I copied and pasted back in step one. The key was NO RETURN when typing my title page. The rest of this stuff may not have been necessary, for all I know. hope this helps someone...such a simple fix for me after ALL THIS FRUSTRATION SINCE CHRISTMAS OVER THIS!
  2. I cannot import my outlook email addresses. Do I need to make a .csv file (or some other kind of export of my addresses) to make this happen....simply because none of my email addresses are being picked up. I ended up buying Roxio's version of Photoshow (I guess?) I am reading that we are NOT buying the product -- since we already bought it from SimpeStar -- that we are merely buying host space.....I guess new customers get both the product and the space for the same dollars LOL... I still have not found all my shows from simplestar v.5 , and am hoping for some kind of warm fuzzy feeling, some day...I am not comcast. Does that make a difference...I am AT&T. Must say, the guy I spoke with about ordering the Roxio Product was non-communicative, non-helpful and did not seem to have any information. Would not discuss how to use 5 interchangeably with 6 until I actually had purchased 6. I tried to Purchase 6 and it kept telling me someone else was using my log in information (me!) and it was fairly difficult to get the guy on the phone to say anything...it was like I had to ask a direct question to get any answer at all:( Very Frustrating Experience. I am a 50 y.o. court reporter and feel like after all these years of taking testimony, I can actually tell when someone is being "uncommunicative"..... I am still confused on some other things, after making the purchase....can I still burn my dvds? Can I upload photos and make photoshows in 5, and that is the only way to be able to burn w/o having to pay Roxio everytime I want to make a movie of my work? I really enjoyed the old product. I have "lost" some very important historical videos due to my ignorance about the product being sold off and me not backing up to some other "place" for storage. Where do I do that? Any help is appreciated...sort of.....there is one poster on here that seems to have a strong dislike of new people and their frustration. Please don't turn my problems into something personal.   3. I must say I am cornfused.....and I have read some posts, and I am still cornfused....I had the simplestar v. 5. It was a stand alone program and my hard copy came to me in the mail in a cardboard sleeve and I still have it somewhere. Now, when I try to host a photoshow made with THE ROXIO product -- which I did not purchase because I already had SIMPLESTAR --- it won't take a show with more than 24 pictures unless I buy an upgraded Roxio Product. But, it sounds like the Roxio Product is the Simple Star product, which I have already paid for. I have had no problem with using my same old program; except for I can no longer share shows with friends and family unless they are under 24 pictures. I can't always log in; and some of my shows are expired and I can't run them unless I buy the Roxio version (I can see that they are sitting there but it says I must use the original email I used when I purchased my product to get to see my shows, and I am using the original email I have had since I bought the SimpleStar product) and one show that I really wanted of my daughter's bday party and her first time in the horse show ring I cannot find. I have burned them both to discs and will find them in this house somewhere, I guess; but what gives? I am logged in now as a new user because it tells me that someone else is using my user name (me!) but when I log in with my old, original email addy I can see several of my shows; I just can't watch them or share them any longer. It swears I had a free account; but I did purchase my software:( I did..... Anyone else having problems with their Simple Star v. Roxio:(
