    Badly Needed Global Move/insert Function

One other option. If you are satisfied with your original production, render that to a MPEG2 or DV AVI file. Open a new Videowave project, insert the "custom intro panel", and then insert the rendered MPEG2 or DV AVI file. On the plus side, this will accomplish what you want. On the negative, you will not be able to easily modify the original production (now a MPEG2 or DV AVI file) in the new project. Hope that gives you another workaround to consider.

    Black & White Flickering Movies

I don't believe you can. At least I have not figured out how to do it with this software. The best that I have found is to use one of the "Noise" effects and then adjust the settings to give a grainy effect on the video. That does not do exactly what you want, but may be some help.

    Slowing Down Video

    Your welcome

    Slowing Down Video

In Videowave, point to and right click the mouse on the video you want to slow down. Select "Trim...". You should see a "Speed" adjustment at the bottom of the "Video Trimmer" window. Reduce the speed of the video to your liking. Hope that helps.

Problems With Sound In Video Clip

Hi veronicaw What you are seeing is the menu background (movie room) and hearing the menu background music. Your video you see playing is only a silent preview. That is all normal. When you view the DVD on the TV, have you tried pressing the PLAY button on the DVD player remote? That should activate your movie clip(s). Also, it would be beneficial to read this excellent tutorial in the Tips and Tricks section. It is likely to provide answers to most of your questions and maybe ease some of the frustration.

    Adding Submenus - Mydvd

If you want a text-only button on the main menu to navigate to a sub-menu, try this: 1. In MyDVD, click Change Menu Style in the menu window. 2. Scroll down and select a menu style that has text-only showing on the main menu. An example would be the Serenity style. 3. If you now select Menu>Add sub menu, you should get only a text button on the main menu screen that will be linked to the sub menu. 4. Modify the background picture, audio, text attributes, etc. on the main and sub menus as desired. Hope that helped. If that is not what you are trying to do, post back with some additional details.

    Storyline Thumbnails Distorted

Your welcome. As I said, I don't know why it happens, but it is an easy fix. You will have to delete that dat file more than once if you save and then reopen the project frequently. Thanks for letting us know that it worked for you.

    Storyline Thumbnails Distorted

What you describe with the distorted thumbnails also happens to my projects. Each time a project is saved and then reopened, the quality of the thumbnails (and transitions in my case) gets a little worse until the thumbnails are unrecognizable. It seems this happens to some folks and not others. Why it happens, I don't know. If what I have described sounds like what is happening to your project (s), try deleting the corresponding dat file and that should clear up the problem. For example, if your project name is project1.dmsm, there will be a corresponding project1.dat file in the same folder as the dmsm file. Delete the project1.dat file and then reopen the project1.dmsm file. The dat file will be rebuilt and the distortion should be gone. Just to be safe, make a backup of the project before deleting the dat file just in case something goes wrong. Hope that helps.

    Change Durations?

If what malatekid suggestion does not fit your production, your only other alternative is to change all the durations to 2 seconds by highlighting one picture, selecting the "Trim" feature (scissor icon), entering 2 in the duration box and checking "Apply duration to all...". Then you will have to go back and change those pictures you want a 5 second duration one at a time. As far as I know, there is no way to change a batch of still images to a single duration. It is either all at the same time or one at a time. Hope that helps

    Global Transition Duration

Unfortunately, changing the transition duration for all transitions also changes the transitions, as you have described. I know of no way to change the duration globally without changing the transitions. Although slow, you can change the duration one at a time. Sorry
  11. Ahhh!! So that is what causes the difference. I have not had the need to select 16:9, hence I did not know there would be additional menu styles. Thanks for pointing that out.
  12. Hi, FrankRz Your welcome. For what it is worth, I also have 72 menu styles. Maybe I am missing some also.
  13. Are you sure you did not select "Bouquet" as the menu style in the first project rather than "Wedding"? I think that menu style shows a bride holding flowers.
  14. If "band width" means the circled area in the picture below, then click the icon indicated by the arrow to return to the normal view. If that is not the problem you are trying to explain, please provide some additional detail.
