  1. My best guess is this is a bug in the Roxio application. Until it is fixed you probably need to use a different tool to convert the mpeg 2 video file captured by the device to either MPEG-4 or DV for import to iMovie. The full version of Toast can do this as can Popcorn. MPEG Streamclip can do it if you have Apple's QuickTime MPEG-2 Playback Component ($20 online from Apple). The only advice I have is to open iMovie before exporting the movie from the Roxio device or capture in multiple small clips for joining in iMovie.

Thanks, I do have Toast 10 Platinum, what would the steps be in transferring to that and then working in imovie. I am not familiar with Streamclip, would that be a better way to go. Thanks

  2. when i import into imovie 09 the event shows up but imovie does not open the video, any suggestions.

I am having the exact same problem, short clips work fine (under a minute) when going into imovie, but anything longer I receive the "no matching video" message even though the title of the converted video is listed in the Event Library in imovie. Have downloaded the latest update1.03; any help would be greatly appreciated.

    thanks

  3. I recently purchased Toast 10 Titanium Pro in order to create HD movies (DVD) from an imovie project; From the imovie application I completed share/media browser/publish for my movie event, this process took 3+ hours. Basically my question is now what?

how do I create an HD DVD?

do I need the HD plug in or is it included in the Pro version?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
