Photo Show Video Won't Burn To Dvd

Thank you all for your help. I resized ALL my trip pictures as this was going to be much faster than going through each of the pictures and trying to figure out which ones I used in the video. Next time I will be sure to put the photos I use into a separate file (however, after all this I don't think I'll attempt it again). I still have all the original photos on my camera card. After a couple of failed attempts this morning, I finally was able to burn the whole thing to disc with no missing pictures! So again....thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I have a whole new appreciation for these types of forums.

Sorry, I do see now that my question about copying the photos was posted and answered by Myguggi. Please disregard my last post...........and thanks for your answer. I should have done it that way, but unfortunately didn't (

Hello again, I thought I sent my question earlier today, but now it's not here......maybe I didn't hit post. In regard to copying the pictures prior to resizing them.....I'm wondering if I can just resize ALL the photos instead of copying just the missing ones. That would save me alot of time...trying to figure out which ones are the missing ones? I keep additional copies of my photos on an external drive.... Thanks again for your help....

This is going to be painstakingly slow to figure out the blacked out photos and then copy each one individually. I'm probably missing something here.........but I do have all my photos saved in more than one spot....so wouldn't it be alot easier to just resize ALL the trip photos from the original files? Is your #1 step of copying the blacked out photos into a new folder just a precautionary step in case I lose the photos? Is there a reason I can't just resize all of them? Thanks so much for your help with this!

Ok, I found the Resize button! Thanks.... Does it matter where I copy the images from....for instance, can I just copy them from the Storyline view into the new file? Or do I have to figure out which photo is missing....go back into the original file to copy each one into the new file? Would it be easier to just resize all my original photos?

My screen resolution is set to 1366 x 768. I can lower the first number but the second number stays the same.....

Okay, deleting the .dat file totally worked....as far as seeing the pictures in the Storyline view. Thank you. However, I cannot find the window that allows me to resize the photos. When I click on "Show Settings"....I got a message that says "It is not possible to dock the settings dialog at the current display resolution". I can't find anywhere that allows me to resize photos as shown in your screen shot...... Could you please give me some more direction? Thanks!!

The file size of the pictures are all different. Some are 1 MB and some are 5, 6, 7, 8 or 9 MB's. When I'm in VideoWave, where you add the photos......I noticed that most of the pictures are all crinkly looking in the smaller panels on the bottom...you can't see the pictures...they are sort of clouded over. You can only see the actual picture in the larger preview window. I decided to go through and replace each of the pictures...with the same picture, and what I'm noticing is that once I replace the picture I can now see it clearly in the smaller panel windows....it's no longer clouded over. I'm wondering if the pictures got corrupted somehow while I was trying to get the DVD to burn.... Is it normal to not be able to see the pictures clearly in VideoWave? I guess I'll go through and replace all the pictures and then try burning again. It'll take me all day tomorrow likely to do that.... In the meantime, I'll download that software player you suggested and then answer your question about whether the pictures are missing in the ISO file. Any other suggestions? Thanks for all your help. If I were to download the updated version for future projects am I likely to have all this trouble? If so, then this will be the last one I ever do (

I don't know how to play the ISO file. When I try to open it, the Roxio Creator file opens and the only choice is to burn it. When I burned it to a disc, the pictures were missing. I went back and switched two of the missing pictures with other pictures as you suggested....then burned to a DVD again to see what happened. Both pictures were there, but in one case the previous picture was now missing. Do you think it's too long....there are over 300 pictures...........and I'd guess that at least a third of them are missing. Also I noticed that in some cases, the text that I put at the bottom of the photo panel was still there, but no picture.........and in other cases, the text and the picture are missing. I don't know what else to do??? Maybe I should go back and reinsert the same pictures, just to see if that helps. Going through alot of DVD's..... Can you tell me know to play the ISO file?

Yes, when I created the image file, I did uncheck the burn to disc file. The missing pictures show up when I go back to videowave and run through the production. Also when I send it to My DVD and preview....all the pictures show up. I was able to burn to a disc just now and it worked.....except there are missing pictures. I will go back and do as you suggest...exchange the pictures for ones that work to test it.... Thanks again for your help!

ok...thanks for that tip. I did what you said....burned it to an .iso file. It did burn. When I played it back....there are some pictures missing. The music is there, the transitions are there...it looks pretty good, except every now and then I get a black screen and no picture. I did use some pictures that other people sent to me....I wonder if there's a problem with that? Thanks for trying help. I'm pretty frustrated because I've put hours and hours into this project......

When I try to play back the disc....the roxio desktop icon says 'blank'. I've tried to take a screen shot of the 'Project Settings' but I guess I don't know how to do it...sorry. The settings are as follows: The menu aspect ratio is grayed out.....probably because I checked off to not add a menu (originally thought the menu was the problem) Standard is set to NTSC (I'm in Canada) 'Fit to Disc' is checked off.....and 'Interlaced' is checked off everything else is grayed out.... Are these the settings you are asking about?

Photo Show Video Won't Burn To Dvd

I've made a photo show video using Roxio 2010....which I've done successfully in the past. This one is of my trip to Europe and I've promised copies to 25 other people that were also on the trip. The video is about 25 minutes long. I send it to My DVD and it says it has burned successfully, however the DVD is blank. I've attached a dxdiag file as suggested in a post of a similar problem. I'm hoping someone will be able to help me.....thanks! DxDiag.txt
