    .gi Files And Virtual Drive

It seems to be happening (or in this case not happening lol) with newer CDs, like CDs that came out starting in 2009. It also doesn't have to do with dragging and dropping them to play them. I want to be able to load them into the Virtual Drive emulator built into Creator 2011 Pro, which doesn't seem to be working with CDs that came out starting in 2009. In my last post I gave an example: Brad Paisley's "Mud On The Tires", which came out in 2003, loads just fine in the Virtual Drive emulator, but his "American Saturday Night" does not load.

so nobody knows the answer to this? could it be just a glitch? and if so, why hasn't roxio come out with an update to fix it?

    .gi Files And Virtual Drive

Hey guys, sorry I haven't replied in a while. I've been very busy lately. What's happening is this: There are some gi files that I can load into the disc image loader and will load just fine as a virtual drive....and then there are others that won't load at all, either from within Roxio or by right clicking on them and going to load>E:\ . Half of my collection will work and the other half will not. It seems as though "newer" CDs will not work while older ones will. As an example, Brad Paisley's Mud On The Tires works just fine while his latest album, American Saturday Night, will not load at all. Is there a fix for this? Am I doing something wrong? Any light that can be shed on the subject will be much appreciated. Thanks!

    .gi Files And Virtual Drive

What? I'm not using a player...I want to use the GI files as backup and load them into virtual drives when I need them. Furthermore, the GI files that DO end up loading work in any player...Winamp, iTunes, etc. I just want to know why it doesn't work 100% of the time and why there are random GI files that just won't load in Virtual drives...I am running Windows 7 and when I rip from the Virtual Drives, I use db Poweramp, which doesn't have anything to do with it because some GI files won't even show up in the virtual drives. When I right click and go to load> Drive E:, it does nothing.

Thanks for the reply, but unfortunately you can't rip audio cds to ISO...at least I have never been able to or found a program that could do it. ISO can only be used for data, not for audio because an ISO can only contain one track. I'm trying to make an exact copy of the audio cd, so ripping it to WAV or FLAC and making an ISO image wouldn't work either. I think that's why Roxio & Sonic created the GI file to begin with...because there wasn't a CD Image for audio cds. I just find it very weird that some GI images will load just fine with the Roxio Virtual Drive while others won't load at all. Does anyone know why and/or how to fix this and make it work all the time?

    .gi Files And Virtual Drive

Hey everyone, I'm backing up all of my music CDs as Global Image files and I want to be able to use the Virtual Drives feature to quickly rip an album, however some albums won't load in Virtual Drives. In otherwords, i will right click on the GI file, go to load, select the drive and it does nothing. This only happens on a very few albums? What is the reasoning for this and is there a fix? Thank you in advance.
