    .mov Files

Hi , Is it possible to edit .MOV video files with VideoWave 09? I have been able to import the clips but with no Audio at the moment? Many thanks, Spiz
  2. Hi All, I am using a Kodak HD digiatl Video camera. It can record in HD up to 1080p res. I have copied the clips to my Hard drive and have imported the clips into Video Wave 09 using the Media selector. The cilp play fine in Quick Time Player or iTunes, but when played in Video Wave, there is no audio and the pictures play back a little jerky almost as if they are lightly strobed. Any ideas please? many thanks, Spiz

    Videowave 09 Audio Track Locking

One quickie just realised that if my main clip runs for a long time, I need to use a smaller clip on the overlay track. How can I chose the segment I want to re use from the main clip? can it be trimmed down before I place it on the overlay track?

    Videowave 09 Audio Track Locking

Hiya, SORTED!!! Thank you Karri!! You are a star.I was trying to copy a clip on the video timeline to paste it into the Overlay track, but it wasn't doing it. Just dragged a clip from the media selector, and it works fine. Thanks again. Spiz

    Videowave 09 Audio Track Locking

Hiya, What I need to achieve is this. I have a Theatre show which runs for say 40 mins. The show is the show, that is to say, there are no bits I want to cut out. All the dialogue must stay in the same place and in the same order so it makes sense. I need to insert close up shots of some parts or cut away shots of the audience. Clearly when this happens the ausio needs to carry on uninterupted undermeath the inserted clips. At the moment, I have added a second sound track and have muted the track on the Video clip. When i split the video clip, and delete the shot I have split, everything after that clip moves up and goes out of sync. I then have to insert my new clip where the other clip was, but it has to be exacly the same length as the clip I removed in order for the rest of the track to go back into sync. RThis is very time consuming. Is there a better way. On other programmes I have used, they provide another video track so you can insert a clip where you want it, and add a cut or other transition to tell the timeline to cut to the new clip at that position and back again. Or if the video tracke can be locked into position? That would work? Many thanks, Spiz

    Videowave 09 Audio Track Locking

Hiya thanks for your reply. Im not sure what a B roll is and where do I add an overlay track? Are you saying that I add the video to an overlay track as well as the same video in the Video track and edit the video track and the overlay track rund underneath? Or the other way round. At the moment, when I cut a shot out of the Video track the footage after it all moves up and therefore is out of sinc. If I can add video to the overlay track, will this not also act in the same way? Many thanks, Spiz

    Videowave 09 Audio Track Locking

Hiya, Thanks for the help. I did get that far, and although the audio is in tact when I split the main video, it does all move out of sync. In other programmes I have used you can lock the video to a set position and if you cut a section out, the rest stays in sync. Alternatively, there would be a second video channel to allow for a clip to be cyt to and then back to the original video clip. When making a movie, and a cut away is required of say a close up or an establishing shot etc, this is a very common thing to do, but I cannot for the life of me see how this can be right at the moment. If it goes out of sync each time this will take ages to do!! Not really sure of the answer? Anyone have any experience of this? Many thanks, Spiz
