Toast 10.0.9 cannot find my dvd/cd writer which is connected with USB. I am using an iMac with OS 10.10. Connection is supposed to be with an external Samsung DVD/CD Writer S084D. Toast gives me the pull down to select a burner, but it asks me for an I.P. like number. There isn't any for a USB device. H E L P ! ! H E L P ! ! H E L P ! ! H E L P ! ! H E L P ! ! H E L P ! !

It just needed to have both of the USB plugs connected directly to the iMac.

Guru, Yes the system Report does list it in the 'About This Mac.' It has both USB plugs inserted directly into the iMac.
