    Lightscribe issues

Sknis, Thanks for the reply. That is one thing that I've been considering. The box the computer came in (a packaged system, not custom/home built) had the lightscribe logo on it, and the faceplate on the drive has been replaced with one that matches the front of the case. And e-Machines tech support can't give me a straight answer about whether or not this model came with a lightscribe drive. Hypothetically, if the optical drive I had WAS a lightscribe capable drive, would I have to install a specific driver or enable a specific setting somewhere?

    Lightscribe issues

Hey all, I've been trying to get some labeling software to recognize my CD/DVD drive so I can burn some labels. I've tried using Easy Media Creator 8's labeling program, as well as the free download of SureThing 4 SE from www.lightscribe.com. Easy Media doesn't give me the option to select a lightscribe enabled drive, and SureThing gives me a message that there's no lightscribe drives on my system. I have an e-Machines T5026 system, and the CD/DVD drive is made by NEC, model # ND-3520AW. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers, both in regular and safe mode, I've flashed the drive's firmware to the newest version, and downloaded the Lightscribe System Software Update from http://www.lightscribe.com/support/index.aspx?id=305 Alas, nothing seems to be working for me. Any thoughts or ideas? Much appreciated.
