    Error While Writing Format

    - since i have an ssd drive, quad-core 955 black processor, nvidia gtx550ti graphics and 16gig of memory, there is no way my rig is underpowered. the resulting mp4 file downloaded has no security descriptors that would prevent burning. it burned to normal dvd fine. the avchd dvd process crashed. now i get a lot of crashes until the regular dvd eventually works. source: used YTD to download. wanted to burn for a friend who doesn't have internet. nxt2 is really freaky now. please help. . -
  3. whether i play the dvd in a dvd or bluray, the picture is very blurry on my samsung 3d tv. the 3d file on the computer plays mostly right, only slightly blurry, from the computer to the tv. is there a setting on the 3d conversion in videowave or the dvd burn in MyDvd that is wrong?? i tried to play a retail anaglyph 3d movie on my tv and it is blurry and has checkerboards. what's up?? the retail dvd is worse! but the 2d movie works fine. and the tv converts the 2d to 3d fine. no matter what setting i turn off or normalize on the tv it's still not a good picture for the 3d dvd. whyyyyyy??? (haven't tried realD yet) .
  4. this file should be like this one , only trimmed. since the original is about 34 minutes, i need to cut it into 3 sections to post on youtube. i tried to create a new 3d production in videowave, add the file, and use the trim function to select about 12 minutes to output to a side-by-side file. the output options only allowed dvd-sized video (480 x 2) for a side-by-side. how do i get the trimmed video file to be the same format as the 3d camera file? (Aiptek I2 3D camera, 720p side-by-side.) and how do i get rid of the borders? .

    Videowave Trim Didn't Write 720P Side-By-Side File

when i did as you did, used "3d file correction" to change the input files to half width L/R, it started working correctly, albeit an extremely large file. (about 30 Gig. for 2hr 41min) i may be able to burn it to a 50G bluray disk?? for playback?? but my new one did not have a border, like your screen shot. not in the preview anyway. can hardly wait to get home and see if it worked. the only diff. i can see is that you chose H.264/both where i chose "All". actually, my friend Darrell was the tech. while i was in the play. he used my i2. i've not looked to see how well he did framing his shots. i think he was mostly concerned with getting the whole stage in the frame. he did say he was going to try to use the zoom to get tighter on the solo. i have found that the camera does not do very well at large distances, not even with zoom, as it is software not hardware. all i can say about video card software is that i have the CUDA and Vision settings active. this means i can use the extra processors of the video card for processing the conversion, and, output 3d to my tv. do you have videowave using the extra processors on the video card? do you think it could be the cyberlink bluray/3d drivers that might be having an adverse effect on the rendering process? (bluray drive came with special PowerDVD that plays bluray 3d) i guess i could post an image of that install disk for you to test with. . btw, i play George Read, the little golden boy in the front, if you were wondering.

    Videowave Trim Didn't Write 720P Side-By-Side File

but why the large border on the top and bottom? .
  7. tried AVCHD 3d disk.

set tv to convert to 3d side-by-side L/R and it showed fine.

the tv did not automatically detect the disk as 3d.

    hope this helps.

    Videowave Trim Didn't Write 720P Side-By-Side File

source: http://www.mediafire.com/?59s3y9dynijdt video from our last practice session procedure: open videowave start new 16:9 project select files for import identify as 3d side-by-side LR, all select export to file save project choose avchd 1280 x 720 (24 fp) side-by-side LR create file ouput file is 1280 x 720 but each frame has large borders around it. also tried your avc 800 x 450 suggestion and got the same result. no post processing, just input/output. it seems like the program has put each frame in a box. see the above output from Larry's gig as an example. i get the feeling that this program does not resize each L/R frame up to the output size. instead it crops it into a box. i tried an old letterbox file once and it came out as a really small box in the middle of the screen. my tv expands it out to cover the whole screen instead of what videolab does to it. very disheartening. .

    Videowave Trim Didn't Write 720P Side-By-Side File

ok, i just tried that setting and it still crops the video. i have the latest nvidia 275.33 drivers and win7 is up to date. what else could be wrong? .

    Videowave Trim Didn't Write 720P Side-By-Side File

but is that output 1280 x 720 still, or something else? . (just got through with 1776 production and now have time to revisit this) (i have video taken with the i2 at http://www.mediafire.com/?59s3y9dynijdt) (wanted to put all the clips together and make a 3d avchd file but it came out cropped just like the trim) (so not feeling the love here) .

    Videowave Trim Didn't Write 720P Side-By-Side File

i know for sure that the Aiptek source file is 1280 x 720 L/R and that there are no borders at all. (see darrell's band above) then i put it in the trimmer and it comes out with huge borders. can you please tell me how to avoid that? (i'll try to upload the source file somewhere) .

    Videowave Trim Didn't Write 720P Side-By-Side File

ok. i have selected side-by-side everywhere. the result is: upload failed. (2.59 GB for 12 minutes??) it's still the same large borders, but it is HD now. .

    Videowave Trim Didn't Write 720P Side-By-Side File

?? 1/2 width ?? so you think maybe the video trimmer is my problem here? . new test is uploading. this will take a while.

    Videowave Trim Didn't Write 720P Side-By-Side File

yes, i did as you say. new 16:9 3d project - add video, side-L/R - export as side-L/R you see the result, not HD like original. the export only allowed avc-better or below. why? .

    Aspect Ratio Problem

try converting video to 16:9 before adding to MyDvd project??? .
  16. whereas i grouped by software, hardware, procedure. different strokes i suppose. i didn't notice your coloring of text. i usually don't look at the repeat block. i appreciate your attempt to help. but assuming i don't already know the pitfalls of converting an analog source to digital is not very nice. i agree that is part of the problem but i believe there must be something more going on with this system because of the amount of distortion, not just the mere presence of it. if you can suggest the settings in Videowave and myDvd that need to be checked to maximize video quality, that would be helpful. i have tried to loacate them but have not had much success. i think tweaking is not something that is readily available in the tutorials and help files. and since there isn't a manual, . . . if you could suggest a link or two concerning the realD dvd and video file presentation problem, that would be helpful. if you can suggest a link or two concerning how to clean up the analog video signal before applying the 3d conversion, that would be helpful. i usually use soundforge to clean up the analog audio signals before burning a cd. does Videowave perform the same way for video files?? if so how?
  17. AS for Roxio Video Lab HD not being able to do 3d photos as it was advertised at the time of my purchase, Roxio has already admitted their mistake and corrected it. you don't need to worry about that any more. thanks anyway. .
  18. please go somewhere else to acuse them of presenting information in an unorganized fashion. i'm trying to do the best i can to deal with new technology and learning. i don't need someone telling me i'm incoherent without specific advice. you have not told me anything i don't already know. please find attached screen shots that prove that the LG supplied Cyberlink software is capable of playing 3d and bluray disks. even windows media player will play an anaglyph file on my computer since i have the latest nVidia 3d drivers and settings configured for it. realD is another matter. i have to use the Cineplayer to play those 3d files, which it converts to anaglyph. otherwise all i get is a side-by-side video, same as a realD avchd disk played by the Samsung bluray player. maybe i need to change the display to feed the 3d tv an active shutter signal. i don't know. i'm still researching this. it's still new to me. so if you have some kind of constructive advice to give, i'd like to hear it. otherwise, please defer to other more knowledgeable people. i just upgraded hardware and software and am having to get used to the system all over again. please help instead of giving me grief. the Aiptek i2 that i ordered was DOA, yesterday. so it will be a while before i can try a new hd digital source. if you have a file you'd like me to try and upload to youtube, i'll be glad to troubleshoot. i'm very adept at that. i'm a certified computer/network programmer/technician. it's what i live for. so i'll be glad to learn these new 3d and bluray creation techniques. please help. .
  19. tried "Encounter in the Third Dimension" disk from slashdot. the 2d plays fine but the 3d is all checkerboard stuff and blurry. it was originally IMAX 3d. tried a standard "Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl" 3d dvd last night. it played fine. ("put your glasses on now") shrek bluray 3d and stuff plays fine. hardware: Samsung 3d tv 40" C7000 Samsung 3d bluray player generic dvd player custom-built computer with LG bluray player (came with cyberlink dvd 9 to play 3d and director to burn bluray) computer connected to tv with dvi-hdmi cable. i turned all of the samsung video corrections off so i know that's not the problem. maybe it's the IMAX format that is the problem?? maybe i just got a bad disk? tried to convert an old, very old, video to 3d dvd. it came out blurry too. when i play the 3d file on the computer, it is not as blurry as the 3d dvd. is there a depth setting i need to correct in videowave or myDvd? . (all references to 3d are anaglyph except for bluray 3d)
  20. i noticed that a video was cut in half by the 2d to 3d conversion. the resulting file only showed the left side of the original image. so i thought i would just go in and delete the project files and temp files and run the conversion again. no matter what files i deleted it would not run the file conversion again, which automatically happens when a 2d video is added to a 3d project. i had to copy the original file to a new location to get videowave to run the conversion again. why? is there a menu option that i should run to delete an old project to start over? .

Creator 2011 Vs. New Video Lab 3D?

i bought video lab hd because i wanted the new 3d conversion capability and the bluray movie creation but didn't want all the backup and disk utilities that i already have in creator 10. however the aforementioned 3d photo capability and 3d bluray are not in the software. i have a ticket open for a month now on this. however, the site has been updated to eliminate references to that. so yes, buying the lab, the photo software, and the backup software separately is not cost-effective. so, for someone that doesn't have any other software, the 2011 pro would be the way to go. .

how do i get a manual with instructions on how to do things in Video Lab HD? the help file is not instructive as it uses a lot of jargon about a home project and not much else and the search for "picture" doesn't even return relevant topics. the manual section of the support page doesn't have the document either. did the physical product ship with a manual? can i get a pdf copy if it did please? the online documentation for Creator 2011 is supposed to work with Video Lab HD, yes? but the instructions don't seem to match what is on my screen. please post a manual. all that to ask, how do i convert a 2d picture to 3d? .

ok. any idea why the ability to convert a 2d photo to a 3d photo is missing from the program? the website says it has the ability but i can't find it. there is a tutorial for creator 2011 that shows it in action. that function seems to be missing. .

Produce 3D Dvd Or Bluray To Be Read By 3D Tv

although the software creates HD dvd (AVCHD) in 3d that will play in the blueray player, it will not create 3D-Blueray disks. i am working on a method to get the 3D HD files to burn to blueray to play in my samsung system. anaglyph is as far as i have gotten in the couple of weeks i've had the software. i plan to try realD soon. . update: the only technique i have gotten to work yet besides anaglyph is to burn a side-by-side and manually tell the TV to convert it to 3D. if i had a 9000 model instead of a 7000 model i should be able to play a realD video. but, alas. .
