    blue screen

Everyone who has sent me a PM will get a response today with the fix. For people who are reading this seeking a resolution, please contact Technical Support. I am leaving Sonic and will no longer be responding to posts on the forum or to private messages so please don't be offended if you don't hear back from me. Good luck

    I Need Help

It sounds like that application wiped the drive registry entries. You can find a resolution in the following article http://kb.roxio.com/content/kb/Creator/EE6...0?set-locale=en

What's in your project? GOP structure is the pattern that the MPEG's frames are made of. To get this error, your files are either incompatible or are damaged. In both cases you should reencod to a format like DV-AVI or MPEG2 if possible. But I'd really need to know more about your project and when this error came up.

MyDVD 6: "This is not a valid MPEG file".

MyDVD doesn't support importing the raw VOB files. It can some times work but you were bound to run into a disc that wouldn't work I'm afraid. You'll have to use the software that came with the camera to rip the video off of those discs.
  5. In Edit Style there is a check box called Play First. Also check Play All. If these are checked, when the disc is inserted it will play all the video on the disc before going to the menu for the first time.

    dvdit5.2 won't launch

Try the following to resolve the issue. Go to your start menu and open "Run". Next, copy and paste or type the following command into the Open window: "regsvr32 msxml3.dll" (w/out the quotes). Next, you should receive a message about a file registering successfully. Try and launch the application again and see if the issue is resolved. If it is not, continue to try the following suggestions. I recommend you go to Control Panel, Add/remove programs, and uninstall Sonic update manager. Although you would usually get updates through this program, all updates are available through our website. Try to launch. If these suggestions don't work, try a clean install: http://cs.sonic.com/scripts/texcel/swise/k...12&clean%20 Kevin Jamieson
  7. Unless you're using the recently released version of Cineplayer that supports Vista, your version of Cineplayer does not and will not work with Vista I'm afraid. http://www.roxio.com/enu/products/cineplay...a/overview.html Sorry

Can't play photo CD on TV

Sonic makes a plugin for Photostory that allows you to burn your slideshows to DVD, if that's more convenient for you. http://www.estore.sonic.com/enu/photostory/default.asp Kevin

dla error on win xp x64

I have nothing to add other than that I believe you two are talking about two different things. Beerman is referring to the Roxio Product Drag to Disc. It is the DLA equivilent from Roxio. Yoda was talking about the Windows built in packet writing program when he referred to drag to disc. The Windows component can be installed on the same system with DLA or Drag to Disc. But it should be disabled in the properties of the burner in My Computer

    DVD Long Filename

I've been looking for a while now and the only filesystem I've seen used on DVDs if the UDF filessytem. One site said it 'expects' a newer format to be released which will support 210 characters but that article was a few years old. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Universal_Disk_Format This leads me to believe that you're not going to find any software package that will offer this capability.

    DVD Long Filename

Record Now only supports burning 110 character filenames for DVDs because it can only burn to a single DVD standard. As you've already found, there are options to change the ISO formats for CDs allowing you to burn 220 character filenames. There is no work around for this I'm afraid.

    DVD return to chapter possible?

That version of MyDVD does not support end actions so the file will return to the menu once finished. To loop you'll need a more advanced authoring software. The newer versions of MyDVD will do it

MyDVD 6.2.0 Wont get someTV recordings

Your software can support files that big. What we've found with these EMC recordings is that if the drivers become corrupt or are just older than a certain driver release they start to drop frames. The problem seems to cause the most trouble in longer files. It could be that the longer the card has to work it heats up and bad stuff happens or my preferred theory that these dropped frames always occur and the longer the card records, the better probability that the file is going to experience the problem. I'm not sure why you were being told bad information from the online chat, I apologize for that. Something is wrong with the files. I recommend that you update the drivers for the capture device and then recapture new files and see if they exhibit the same behavior. What card are you using?
  14. No problem! Glad we could help
  15. You can download the update manager here: http://saturn.installshield.com/isus/310/s...dateservice.exe If you're looking for it to replace software, that's not going to happen. You need to contact Dell if that's where you originally got yout software or Sonic
