  1. In Videowave I am working on a production but I have decided it is too long. My Problem:- I have a section/scene in the middle with NO text or overlays that I would like to take out/cut but my issue is the rest of the production has text overlays etc either side so is there a way and if there is how do I do it so that all the other stuff text and overlays etc moves up with rest of scenes in timeline. Thank you in advance for any help.Regards Johnnie
  2. I have NXT 8 running widows 10 up to date 64bit a good graphics card. I have been using Roxio for a long time down the years but it seems that apart from a few whistles here and there all the usual problems with videowave 32bit have never improved, at least that is how it seems for me. I admit I don't use it every single day but when a project calls for it.It is one of those programmes that I am loathe to move away from and having to learn a whole new process again BUT I think I am now getting fed up with all the problems that I have encountered with this NXT8 the two main problems are it just hangs or it just vanishes whilst working on it without warning i.e.NO programme has stopped working box etc. So is it time to bite the bullet and move onto a different offering BUT which one I quite understand that of course it could be me and that I am not very good at using it BUT it seems to me that support is really not up to the standard you would expect when you ask them a question and if it wasn't for this forum I don't think there would be any effective support because Roxio support all comes from the far east and I am trying to figure out why Coral still pushes it so my question is "Is it time to leave Roxio in the bin and move on. Any advice would be gratefully received.
  3. I have quite a large bit of text info that I need to use in videowave. Using the default text controls of slow scroll is still too fast to be able to read the text. Is there a way I can make the text scroll much slower to fit or even a different way to have the text so it can be read. There is too much to fit on the screen hence the scroll. Any answers or ideas I would be very grateful. Regards Johnnie
  4. I used to get programme not responding box but now all of a sudden with NXT8 in videowave it just disappears and defaults to the desktop screen no warning nothing I can start it up again but it is annoying because whatever I am working on is just lost and have to start again. I have tried several repairs but it keeps happening. All updates to both windows 10 and NXT8 are in place. Any ideas would be welcome Regards Johnnie
  5. In Roxio NXT 8 I currently have a project in Videowave the problem is that all the clips are frazzled or for want of a better word distorted and if you don't save straight away everything you do it stops working. Does anybody know what might be causing this. I know that in some earlier versions it used to be a problem with the dat files but I don't think this is the case on this occasion. I thought about the graphics card but that is ok with everything else. Also on another project when I load the DSMS file it asks for files that are not in the location it asks for any longer will videowave recognise the new location providing I can remeber where I put the file LOL! Regards Johnnie

convert DVD to video for edit

Thank you Brendon. I even got in touch with Corel initially first by a chatline then by phone to ask how to do it in nxt5 pro and all they wanted to do was to wind me into NXT8 but as I had not used roxio for a while but I had this request from a friend so I felt I wanted to help BUT to be honest I don't do enough these days to warrant an upgrade so I came on here which I should have done in the first place. I had problems from the start because almost all my stuff these days I use a mac bk pro but when I went to my pc first the wireless adapter had gone tits up so I replaced that then videowave wouldn't cooperate even a repair so I did a complete reinstall of NXT before I would consider a upgrade (can't let a friend down) so now videowave is working. I have tried what you suggested in the first place and did exactly as you have suggested in your latest advice but it will not move beyond the "Import Movies from VOB screen" so I have now taken your advice and looking through Google for a converter. I will let you know how I get on thank's for your help much appreciated Regards Johnnie

Hi Again Brendon I am afraid I have been awile because I have had problems with videowave and also my wireless adapter but have solved that however I have now reinstalled NXT5 pro and videowave now works. I now have a problem because VIDEO_TS_.IFO wont load into videowave it just seems that everything I solve throws up a new problem. I did as you said above but it seems I am still stuck.
