    Latest El Capitan Update

I had the same problem. After 4-5 crashes, sending the report, restarting the mac, it then allowed me to do the install and has worked fine. I did not have this issue on my other two macs. I d/l the file and did the install that way. You may want to use the update within the app and see if that works.
  2. I just installed toast 14.1 update and did a simple open/export of an AIFF audio file using Toast Audio Assistant. I opened audio assistant within in toast app from the extras menu. Opened an audio file on my DT, recorded it and exported it to the DT with a different name. Seems to work fine. I am running 10.11.1. Now you may want to check the sound settings in system preferences. I also have sound flower installed. You must select something other than sound flower to get sound. I tried both internal speakers and headphones (I use BT headphones). Sound worked fine for me. Good luck.

    Mydvd Issues...

Not sure why this is happening. I successfully did a "save as disc image" by adding four video image files. One a .MP4 and three .mov files. I am using OS 10.11.1, toast 14.0, mydvd 1.0 on a 2008 MBP. Maybe there is something corrupt with a video file?

Toast 14 Pro Crashes When Writing A Dvd

I have toast 14 pro installed on all three macs with the latest Yosemite installed, toast runs fine here. I've read that sometimes it's necessary to trash the toast plist preferences.

Toast 14 With Mac Photo App

I am using Toast 14 on my MBP. In order to save space on my internal hard drive, I have my photo library store on an external h/d. It appears that Toast 14 does not allow access to an external h/d so that it opens this library. Could there be an improvement to the app, such as a preference setting to allow this. With everything going to flash drives with a lot less storage available, and many people using laptops, etc, external h/d’s are a way to store large files. Especially given that image files are getting much larger which increases the size of photo libraries. Thank you, Bob

    Toast 14 Manual

Open Toast, go to the help tab, click on the Toast Titanium help. That will open a web page where you can view the manual or d/l it. It is in PDF format.

    Toast 12 Hd/blue Ray Plugin & Toast 14

Not sure why this is happening. I purchased Toast 12 pro which includes the HD/BD plugin. I can create a HD/BD file in toast 12 w/o any problems. When I look at the purchased software for my profile, it shows toast 12 with HD/BD plugin and the key#. I when I try to do the same with Toast 14, it says that it requires the HD/BD plugin. For whatever reason, toast 14 does not seem to recognize the plugin that Toast 12 does. This happens on both my mac mini running OS 10.10.3 and MBP running the same OS. Need help.

Tip O The Hat To Rox-Ralf!

Thanks so much to Rox-Ralf for responding to my question so quickly. He provide a private link where I could d/l the plugin. Here is his response and below that a link to my original post. This is just a courtesy which I can give since the issue is something that we are not able to clear out or not properly tested on our end. It seems like the issue is within Toast 12 Pro which does not require to install the plugin upon installation so Toast 14 standard does not detect the plugin for it. Here's the plugin for Toast 14. 11. I sure hope that Roxio would offer more than for me, (as well as all those who previously purchased Toast 12 pro), to purchase the plugin. You are correct in that when I purchased Toast 12 pro, I d/l it and installed it. The install included the plugin automatically, no separate key for the plugin was provided. I would hope that if it can't be fixed through an update to Toast 14, then it seems reasonable to me that Roxio should allow me, (and anyone else who purchased Toast 12 pro), to d/l the plugin w/o charge. We shall see.
  12. See my post here. http://forums.suppor...lugin-toast-14/ Same problem, except that I have a registered version of Toast 12 pro with the plugin. There appears to be something about the plugin not working. I did send a PM to Rox-ralf and he read it at 10:20pm last night. Have not heard back from him so I'm guessing that he is checking this out. You may want to do the same.

Access Iphotos And Itunes From External Hd

That's a real bummer if it doesn't work with the new photos app. Sure hope that Roxio issues an update that will fix it. Otherwise it cripples the use of toast. It's also a bummer to not support iTunes and iphoto libraries that are on external drives. Especially with the limits on HD space of flash based MBP's.

Access Iphotos And Itunes From External Hd

How do you have toast 14 access the photos and songs from Photos and iTunes that are on an external HD? I tried to find a preference setting and can't find one. Also, on my mac mini, I have the songs and photos on my internal drive. Toast 14 finds the songs and I can see them in the media browser. I now use photos instead of iPhoto and all that shows up are folders but no photos. Is anyone else having this problem? Need help.

    Toast 12 Hd/blue Ray Plugin & Toast 14

I tried selecting that option under the help tab and it took me to a link that allows me to pay for the plugin and download it. So I don't see how the toast 12 HD/BD plugin works with toast 14

    Cd Inserts - Toast 12

Sorry for the mislead. My reference to disccatologmaker does not make cd covers, etc. It makes a catalog of files on a disk to in a folder. Taste's point is spot on.

    Cd Inserts - Toast 12

There is an application called DiscCatologMaker RE in the toast 12 folder. You can also access it from the "extras" tab within the Toast app. Have fun.

Toast 12 For Yosemite Help Please

If what you really want to do is have software that accepts many audio and video formats so you can make DVD's then I would go for Wondershare's DVD creator. It allows you to do many of the menu editing features that iDVD does, as well as incorporating audio into the menus. Toast, while it has many menus, they are static and do not allow editing of any significance, and you can't add audio. But Toast has many features that DVD creator does not have. In that case I'd go with Toast. So, it really depends on what you will be doing the majority of the time. Hope this helps.

Toast 12 For Yosemite Help Please

I have three macs. a MBP early 2008, MBP mid 2012, and a 2012 mac mini all running 10.10.2. I use toast 12.0.1 w/o problems. Also, I am still able to use iDVD on those three machines. I was fortunate to have purchased ilife '09 which contains the last version of idvd. They do have updates to idvd on the apple support page, but you must already have idvd installed on mac in order to do the update. Good luck. If you prefer do have an idvd alternative, I would recommend Wondershare's DVD creator. Almost as good as idvd in some respects, much better in others.

Spin Doctor, Recovering Metadata/files: Song Titles

Not sure if this app (name mangler) will help in renaming files and reordering/sorting, I have used it with much success. The following link takes you to the app store where you can read abut it. If you think it might work, you can d/l an older version for free by googling it. Hope it helps. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/name-mangler-3/id603637384?mt=12

    Playing Slide Shows Automatically

Quick question, I am making a DVD that will have several slide shows on it. If I set the shows to play continuously, does that mean it will play all the slideshows in order, or only play one slideshow continuously? I'd like to be able to start the first slideshow and have it play all of them continuously without having to change it from one slideshow to another. If so, what are the settings. Is it something that is set on the DVD player settings? Thanks

    Curious About Toast 12

Check out this page, has all the specs, a compare between the two and features. Also seems like either new features or apps, not sure. http://www.roxio.com/enu/upgrade_center/toast/
