    Transferring Dmsm Files

The problem I am seeing now after fixing the path issues is the thumbnails are not populating the preview pane, when I double click on a picture to edit, then close the thumbnail populates, I try this for the video and it DOES NOT populate the preview pane. Is there a way to Force VW10 to update the thumbnails, I have tried switching between timeline and story mode this doesnt work

    Transferring Dmsm Files

Jim thanks alot--ill try it.As you know i bougth 2010 to be able to use avchd files--also had a new computer built for faster rendering as well.My plan was to transfer all my old files and be able to just use 2010 to edit my old dmsm files that i made with 7.5. Do you think thats doable--im having lots of issues trying to open my old dmsm files--the issue is when i first started making vidoes i didnt realize i needed iso files, and the only files i had were dmsm--so im running naked,ie no hardrive copy of my videos for alot of them.Id appreciate any advice--thanks alot.PS my plan was to give away my old computer, which is still pretty good, but its notlooking good right now--bob

    Transferring Dmsm Files

Ok, i have a new ,much faster PC to rum 2010 with, and my first video turned out well, thanks to all of you folks.I moved all my old files to the new PC,including dmsm files created thru 7.5. Just now when i went to open and add some pics to one of my old projects, im getting an error basically saying 2010 cant find the files needed. Is there some way to change the path 2010 is using to find the old files(which are on the new pc),witout having to go in and find them one at a time for each dmsm--thanks

    Collage And Labels

Again, sorry for all the questions, but now im at the point of making labels.I always make a collage for my label--so i go into 2010 projects and pick out collage.Do the whole collage thing, but it keeps saving it as a .jpg.dmsp file, which i cant use in label maker.Ive done it several times, tried save as, with just jpg association etc--what am i doing wrong. And on the 2010 lable creator, once i get a picture background, i cant see/find how i add title, content comments. It was very simple in 7.5--oh well.Any help would be appreciated, again, thanks---bob

I was thinking afetr i posted that i could export the AVCHD as a video file in mPEG2 format as well, couldnt I--thanks alot again

  9. Ok--im almost done with my 1st production using 2010,and you folks have been great. My next one has both avchd and std DVD format,i guess mpg-2 on it.Can i mix those in the same production--its a very short avchd file, but much longer mpg2--thanks again bob

    Overlays

yes i still have 7.5 insatlled on the same computer---how would i go about using them as overlays in my 2010 production--thanks

    Overlays

man im bummed--my fav overlays in 7.5 was film strip and fireworks, and unless im going blind i dont see them in 2010,,am i missing something.Almost done editting, putting the final touches, and it seems like 2010 takes a less intuitive, more complcated route than 7.5, but im stuck since i have AVCHD files. Thanks for any help in finding/using these overlays--bob

Im using 2010 for the first time and am editting in MyDvd a projct Ive started.Im VERY familiar with 7.5, but 2010 is more cumbersome,so far.Any way, ive run into an issue and couldnt find answer in a search--so here goes--i want to adjust the amount of time for a particluar scene in the project. In 7.5 all i would do is right click, and adjsut it.cant figure out how in 2010.Would also like to adjust all the transitons at once--any help wouild be appreciated--thanks
