    Source Flicker

Been having this now for a month... my source losing it connection to the roxio and screen goes black but the roxio software doesn't. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lidAaqM4ga8 any ideas would be great because i am getting pretty sassed at it. UPDATE: I know before that replacing the cables for the console and from the device to tv would work but it doesn't seem to solve my issue. I replace the Component cables from the roxio to tv with other ones i had from my other roxio devices aswell the HD AV cable from the xbox to the roxio. So my theroy was to remove the roxio device and connect the cables with just a basic adapter like this and the flicker stopped, leading to believe it is the device. SO i hooked up my 2 other spare devices and BAM...still flickering. So could it be drivers? So i unplugged the device from the usb... and still flicker. So pretty much stumped on this one.

    Render Time

rendering takes time...i do a podcast that is 30 mins long and takes 3 to 4 hours to render the 1080p ep. Rendering length is determined by quailty of the footage, how many edits there (titles, effects, etc.), what you are rendering at, Location (seriousily....if you render to a external hd...it will add time) if you are using the computer when rendering is happening and then your computer specs (cpu, ram, etc.) when i render LARGE files, i usally do it when i go to bed so it is done by morning.

    Update: Roxio And Xsplit

Not sure if this should be posted here for in General Discussion but it DOES seem things are being done to make things work using the Roxio Game Capture HD Pro and xSplit streaming software. So this is GREAT news and a step in the right direction. So keep calm gamers, a fix seems to be in the works. Vaughn
  12. 1st of all, after installing SP1 update for the Roxio Capture HD Pro, the built in live streaming was alot easier to use and more user friendly. I know this thread will cause some issues because xSplit is a NON Roxio software but from what i remember being told is if there is a free trial of a program for the public to use it could be discussed on the forums. IF NOT, please let me know and i will remove the video/tutorial.

    Roxio On/off

you turn you computer off when you're not using it...kudos on that. it might sound snarky but you can always have a spare hdmi or component cable to switch out when you are not using the computer or if you have a few bucks, just buy HDMI or component switcher that allows you to switch between hdmi feeds but those a just simple fixes for now. remember for a a HDMI/Component pass through, it needs some sort of power.

Livestream Thing I Have Noticed Bitrate Wise...

ohh i trust me i didn't mean anything rude by that. I just have friends for stream with 5000 or more bitrate and it is pointless at most times. whatever floats your boat in the end and if you have, use it

    Stream Not Working At All

once again, the Delay in streaming is common. When i use my roxio and stream via the program i get about 2-3 second delay. The higher bitrate/lower quality will reduce it abit but there will always be a delay. As for his stream not actually going live could be minor or not. I know you probably heard it a couple times now, but do a clean reinstall, install SP 1.1 and try a lower bitrate (200) and work your way up. It might be to much bitrate causing your stream to just not work. It might sound strange but it happened to me in the beta for the roxio .

Livestream Thing I Have Noticed Bitrate Wise...

have you updated to SP1.1 (http://www.roxio.com/enu/support/gamecapture-hd-pro/software_updates.html) which allows better control over the bitrate. Also, this is the 1st time for Roxio to add a built in live streaming feature. There are some bugs present and are being looked into. Also, 3000 is crazy amount of bitrate to use. you can get 1080P with like 2000 but if you want to use that much, give it hell. but like i said, currently there are some bugs and they are aware of them. you can use Roxio and the capture method this way but you will need to set the audio delay (some times) doing this method.

    The Live Broadcast,twitter Justing Etc

    Live Stream

.....picking the location nearest to you might not be the best for you're connection. see my video here NOW, if you notice lag still...it is common right now due to bugs and whatnot with the live streaming side of the device. Have you updated your software SP1.1? can be found here http://www.roxio.com/enu/support/gamecapture-hd-pro/software_updates.html but yes, there are minor issues right now because this is Roxio's 1st time creating a live streaming feature so they need to work through some bugs.
