(how) Does Toast Titanium 9 Recognize Dl Dvd Media?

tsantee, Appreciated I shall try a burn at the higher capacity today and see how it goes. Bach festival? That is special. I'd love to be able to be there for something like that. Los Angeles pretty much a desert in those terms. Thanks again!

(how) Does Toast Titanium 9 Recognize Dl Dvd Media?

tsantee, Got it. Thanks. Yes, works in both places. I think I had imagined that Toast would detect it for me and assume if I had inserted DL, it would default to that capacity (etc) for any and all burning - and thus eliminate any mistake on my/user's part in that setting. Do you know why it doesn't behave like that, please, by any chance? Your help - which will get me back burning very much appreciated. Great city, Eugene, isn't it :-)
  3. I have a 10 pack of Verbatim DVD+R DL 8.5GB 2.4X media... perfectly suited for and compatible with my Mac Pro 2.8 (early 2008) running 10.5.4. Shows up correctly in the Burn portion of System Profiler etc. Yet when Toast 9 Titanium 9.0.2 is run, the media shows up at the bottom of the Video burning screen as regular 4.7 media. What am I doing wrong? TIA :-)

    Error Burning Dvd

I've got round this by pre-converting everything in Visual Hub to MP4 first. MPEG didn't work.

John, Great. Thanks. It's an encoding error, isn't it? No workaround?

I'd like to know too, please. That link, http://forums.support.roxio.com/index.php?...st&p=206040, is broken

Exporting/Converting from DivX on Toast 8 (Mac)

tsantee, Again - thanks; very helpful. I'll give it a try :-)

Exporting/Converting from DivX on Toast 8 (Mac)

tsantee, Thanks; that's really very helpful So are you :-) Have you actually done such a transcoding: there are no hidden pitfalls such as with those Mac conversion utilities that claim to make burning wmv files possible, but always fail, are there? Or are prevented by DRM etc? IOW does it actually work as it's claimed? Are all DivX files really convertible (by Toast 8)?
  11. I am using Roxio Toast 8 Titanium on Mac OS X, 10.4.8 Is Toast 8 Titanium able to export DivX files into, say, QuickTime or WMV files so that I can burn a conventional DVD which will play on a set top DVD player that does not support DivX? Thanks!

    CD Spin Doctor Upgrade

Maybe the confusion arises from the fact that this page suggests there is actually a new version out. VersionTracker indeed says there is. I assumed that intelligence had come from Roxio. My apols. Thanks for your help.

    CD Spin Doctor Upgrade

Thank you, frenchtoastwithjam, With the greatest of respect, I found Roxann impenetrable for this query (why do I have to pay for an upgrade that doesn't appear to offer anything new? What's the policy?) so submitted ticket # 237137 which has gone unanswered since 08/26. Maybe I misunderstand how that system works? I truly don't wish to be hostile: what is the preferred method for getting answers to such questions? My questions again: why pay for a separate version? Where is the download file for this update? Happy to do so if it'll get (me) on the path to future (separate/standalone) version updates. Will it? TIA :-)

    CD Spin Doctor Upgrade

tsantee, Thanks for that: I believe you're spot on in every respect. I'm still PPC but would like somehow to get a word from Roxio on their policy. I'm happy to pay for stanadlone if that'll mean future versions are nominally-priced etc. Roxio - is there anybody there......?

    CD Spin Doctor Upgrade

Roxann wasn't able to help; I never get any other answer from Roxio, so am posting here: I have version 3.1t of CD Spin Doctor. I learnt the other day that an upgrade is out. Yet it appears (hard to tell) that there is a price for this. Since it's the same version # and looks as though it's only b/c it's a Universal version - is Roxio really expecting $39.99 for this? If I've misunderstood, where is the link to download the upgrade? Thanks!
