  1. Hi everybody, I´m thinking to buy this capture device (Roxio Game Capture HD) but I would like to now if it´s ok for me. The thing is that I need capture Video Source from a PC and I´m not really sure if this capture device is going to work. I want to take the VGA (RGB) Output of my PC, put it into a VGA to HDMI Video Converter, and use the capture with a laptop to capture that video source. The thing is that I have some doubts: - Color Space will be a problem? ...I mean, this capture can automatically capture any color space (YCbCr 4:4:4, YCbCr 4:2:2, RGB 4:4:4)? - Input resolution will be a problem? ...I have to select the input resolution in the capture software? - HDCP in HDMI Port? Thanks a lot! Best Regards.

    No Signal

Yesterday device work perfectly, but today Roxio game capture HD Pro software says no signal. But it has connection to my tv through roxio. Hdmi light is on and other light work correctly. I try reinstall the program but it not work. There is a picture I can see device in device manager correctly
  3. i have jst seen the standard version of the roxio game capture and want to get it but i have a few questions . the monitor i will be using only has hdmi and vga as inputs can i still use the stadard version of the roxio game capture ? i am getting it to stream more than anything else . can someone tell me besides the roxio game capture device what else i would need ? many thanks dan
  4. SET UP - I am using the capture card for a slightly different purpose. I am trying to capture and record a security camera and stream the results. I have a separate monitor to view said security channels, and another that feeds into my computer. I have an HDMI cable coming from my security system feeding into the HDMI input on the capture card. I have the PC output going into the usb on my computer. Then I have a VGA output from the computer to the computer monitor. Then I have the HDMI output heading into my second monitor so I can monitor just the cameras on that screen. PROBLEM - I have moved the inputs and outputs to every logical reconfiguration and I have never been able to get the separate monitor to show anything. The most success I have had is getting the channels to show up on the computer capture software, but the channels are being displayed in no numerical order. Channel 1, 7, 17, 4 are coming through, but only 1, 2, 3, 4 have cameras running. So my conclusion is that for some reason the card is losing input data and displaying random output on the computer monitor. Again nothing I have done has been able to show the security channels on the separate monitor. I have set this up and have used the same setup with gaming and I have had no problems with the split screen nor capturing my gameplay. I am using the exact same cables and connections, but nothing seems to work. I have tried everything I can possibly think of. Has anyone ever tried using the roxio to capture and stream security systems before? Does the channel output confuse the inputs even tho I am using HDMI on both input and output? Can someone give me a hug? My brain hurts

    Hdmi Not Working Please Help

My girlfriend ordered the Roxio Game Capture PRO HD device as a gift for me this holiday season. I was able to use it successfully to capture my XBOX 360 device, however now I'm attempting to use it with my PC video card. I have this video card here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130651 It has a mini-HDMI output, so I purchased a Mini-HDMI -> Regular HDMI cable. I've already confirmed that I have a working video signal by using the cable I purchased and plugging it directly into my monitor. The signal is received no problem. So, I used the cable I purchased and plugged it into the Roxio Game Capture Pro device Mini HDMI -> Regular HDMI Cable goes into my Roxio Game Capture Pro Video HDMI Input Used a regular HDMI cable from the Roxio GCP HDMI Output and plugged the other end into my monitor Plugged the Roxio GCP device into my PC via USB When I start up the program and select Input HDMI, I am getting Status: No Signal This makes no sense to me as I clearly have a working signal coming from my video card when I plug it normally into my monitor. What is the problem here? Did I get a faulty device? I've attached my DXDiag for analysis of my PC specs. DxDiag.txt

    Invalid Format For Tv

Hello, I tried connecting my brand new fresh out of the box Roxio GameCap HD Pro Capture card, and my TV is just saying "Invalid format", I know that this issue has probably been solved hundreds of times but I've looked everywhere and nothing is helping me out. I am trying to connect it to my xbox with Cheetah HDMI High Speed w/ Ethernet Braided Cables. The xbox cable going into the input and the tv cable in the output, the HDMI light on the Roxio GameCap HD Pro is on, and I can see the picture on the pc screen when I am about to capture. But, it doesn't show on the TV screen, I tried plugging the HDMI cable directly from the console to the screen and it works fine. So, I know this is a issue with the Roxio Capture card. The invalid format is not green or red, and I've triple checked all the cables are plugged in the right slot. Please help, I've been doing this for hours! I have also tried changing the settings on xbox to 480p, 720p, 1080p, 1080i,and optimal resolution

    Noes This Work With...

Ok, so here's my question: can I record the gameplay output from my Android smartphone. My phone in question is: Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-i9100, outputting video using a MHL adapter with a HDMI cable. I saw a big warning on the Roxio GameCapture HD box saying "HDCP not supported" and seeing how this is a pretty pricy device, I want to know if I can actually use it for what I need to do before considering buying it. Has anyone tried recording the output from a phone/tablet? Or know if I can find out if my phone's output is HDCP or just regular HDMI?

    Faulty Hdmi Output

Howdy, I'm having trouble with a faulty HDMI output port on the Roxio HD Pro. The RHDP will connecl to my laptop, capture and do its job. The output will not show on my TV regardless of settings, different cables, etc I just get 'no signal' on the TV screen when set to the appropriate HDMI port. I don't have a set of component cables to try and see if that works although really the HDMI port should be working. It's probably the port as I have had a replacement RHDP that works fine with the same wires and settings etc. I've also stalked this forum, youtube, google etc and can't get a clear answer. Long story short, I now have two RHDP's and want to fix the port on the faulty one, if that's even possible. Either a repair or even replacing the HDMI port itself? It could also be that the RHDP is not even outputting at all, I had taken that into account. Can anyone here help please? Cheers
  9. Roxio has a rather vague and inaccurate tutorial about getting this set up to PS3 slims. And after I waited 8 hours for support to contact me all they did was to slap a link in an email, which STILL DID NOT EXPLAIN TO ME why I can't hook this up to my ASUS HDMI monitor... The video tutorial is incomplete primarily because not everyone is running their PS3 consoles thru HDMI televsions and Roxio makes zero effort to address that. In addition it states that the only additional cables needed (which Roxio is too cheap to provide) is a component cable. This is obviously false because after purchasing the component cable that serves as the input to the Roxio that plugs into the PS3 console, there are no output components. So I guess they just materialize out of thin air huh ? Perhaps someone here in the forums can provide a detailed explanation of how to hook my ASUS HDMI monitor up using a PS3 slim. As mentioned I already own 1 set of component cables which serve as the audio/video input, which goes to the back of the PS3. What do I need for the back of the HDMI monitor as output to the Roxio device ? Since the only remaining outputs are HDMI, DVI and VGA those are the only available options and Roxio expects us to figure this out. Unbelievable

    Hdmi Output Is Not Working

Hello. I got my new Roxio Game Capture HD Pro in today. I was pretty stoked to try it out. Got it unboxed, installed the software on the CD, plugged in the console to the HDMI-In, plugged my TV to the HDMI out, and plugged the box itself into my USB Port. Now, here's the catch. The HDMI-In appears to work fine. I can see my game console on the preview window in all its glory... The problem is that there is absolutely no output to the TV. If I unplug the RGC and try either of the HDMI cables directly to my game console, it works like a charm with my TV (as I would expect). I've tried this with both my Xbox 360 and Wii U, and as I've said, both could capture fine, but I'm getting absolutely no output to my TV, and that's a big deal. There's some pretty ridiculous lag going through the USB port, so the TV is a must Any ideas/suggestions? Is the HDMI-out port probably bad on this unit and I just need to get another one?
  12. Here is what I am looking for, I got the capture card for my son. We tried it out and everything seems to work as needed but he noticed a bit of a lag when capturing. We were advised that he needs to have the capture running on a pc monitor and play as normal on his tv. Any ideas on how this can be done? I was thinking HDMI splitter, but to me it would seem that this would still display the same image on both screens. I need capture software (video) or whatever you call it running on the PC monitor, and the TV displaying as if the capture was not even running, so it appears as normal game play. I hope this all makes sense, I am trying to wrap my head around it all as I do not play games or do capture. Thanks for all the help in advance.

    Hdmi Out Of Range?!

So i managed to get the preview working on my PC which took ages due to me having to order a new component cable for my ps3, but now when i change my monitor to show the screen from the roxio game capture hd pro box, there is a notice in the middle of the screen saying "HDMI out of range 15.6khx/50hz" I imagine this to be a problem between my monitor and the output power of the game capture device, my moniter is an LG flattron w2261vp (i think thats right xD) so i dont understand how a device which is supposed to give out full 1080p images, is not compatible with a 1080p moniter. I could be way off but i really need help, searched so many forum posts that google is now bored of me, here is some other info that might help! Ps3--->Component--->RGC--->HDMI--->LG Monitor Also i would like to point out the horrible leaflet that comes with the rgc, offers no help whatsoever and seems to assume that it is easy to get the device working!

    No Signal (Green)

Hello everyone, my name is Tim and i have the following product (Roxio Game Capture HD Pro). Everything was working fine untill I placed my computer from my desk to the ground, when I start up the program and click on the big Capture button it starts normally but it says No signal in green bold font, my cables are connected to the roxio HD capture device but the only light that also is on is just the power light, not the HDMI or YrBrPr. I have tried to update the software but there isnt any update and also tried to re-install the software with no succes, I have tried google, youtube and even support to find a solution for this problem but with no luck. I hope one of you guys/gurls can help me with this. PS: I have read that you have to install the software without the cable connected to your pc I did that but also with no luck. Tim

  16. Well. I may have been posting here for a while regarding many issues. I finally got my Roxio to capture video with DVI, the only problem I am having now is that I am getting no audio on the roxio software. I am not sure what the issue is, and when I go to device manager. I only see one option, I don't see the audio for it. This never worked before I got the video to work and I never really noticed it because I was trying to get the video to work. My setup is HDMI to DVI to the splitter from roxio, then HDMI cables from roxio to the splitter and the splitter is plugged into my Xbox 360 console. Then the usb from roxio to my laptop, I tried repairing... uninstalling and reinstalling on with my program. I tried checking to see if my audio was muted, but it's not even there! I have been posting many issues on here for almost a month now, and this is my only problem now. It won't record audio or playback audio. I can hear audio on my other monitor, but not on the roxio software. I tried everything, I even tried plugging in the red and white cables from my xbox to my roxio. Nothing worked! Please help, I would appreciate if anyone would have any ideas on what to do. I spent a lot of money on this and been trying to be patient :/ I'm all clueless on what to do now... thanks, any post replies would be appreciated ... btw, I spent hours on trying to get this to work. I've been wasting my time this whole week.
  17. Ok, so basically I just got this product which I have tested and it works great (although still need to improve quality settings). So I wanted to ultimately stream the game play footage IN REAL TIME to my iPad. After research, to do this I released I needed an app to view the laptop screen in real time (which after testing works well) So all I need now is a way of streaming the xbox game play footage to my laptop in real time (ie. without the 2 second delay as with the software). I have seen this being done with the roxio here: (however have not quite found out how he does it yet (claims to use a webcam like recorder called AMCap but couldn't get it to work after testing) My laptop supports USB, VGA, (and another laptop HDMI out (to duplicate laptop screen) but not mine so not ideal for long-term) . My local tech shop where I got the capture card said this would solve the problem: http://www.maplin.co.uk/pc-to-tv-box-223833 but not convinced I need another piece of hardware! Also this might be relevant (in FAQ section): Can I use Roxio Game Capture HD PRO to play live games on my computer display? Yes as long as your computer display can take HDMI or Component input. Instead of connecting a TV, you can connect your computer display as an output with Roxio Game Capture HD PRO device so the video can be passed through in real time to your computer display. You still need to connect the capture device via USB with a laptop/PC for recording though. The preview in the Capture software has about 2 second delay as it is required for the hardware to process the video. Please could anyone help!

Can I Record In Hd Without An Hd Tv?!

Hey everyone I was looking to get a Roxio Game Capture HD PRO, but when I looked into it a bit it seems that it requires an HD TV to record in HD. I have an older TV so I am not sure if I can. I thought a little bit and came up with an idea to get this HDMI to RCA compnent AV cable. I attached a picture of what it looks like so you may have a better idea of what I mean. I was thinking of putting the HDMI into the Roxio and putting the component (red, yellow, white) into my tv. Then of course I would put the rest of it together like it normally would be. I wasn't sure if this would work so I could record in HD. If not would I be able to crop it in 16:9 (or whatever the right size for a youtube video would be) Could anyone please let me know? That would be great! Thanks!
  19. Hey guys. I recently purchased a Roxio Game Capture HD Pro. The question is, how would you be able to set this up with a VGA monitor? It's a Viewsonic, that's the name of the VGA monitor. I really don't want to spend a lot of money to try to make this work. Do you think this would work? I just don't have the USB on my VGA. Btw, if I posted this on the wrong section. Then sorry. I'm new here, please. If anybody has any solutions, let me know. Thanks. http://www.bestbuy.c...o dvi&cp=1&lp=8

    Picture Trouble...

So I got a Roxio game capture HD pro for Christmas and ever since i tried setting it up i have been having problems... First: I am trying to record my PS2/PS3 i have tried and both have the same problem. the problem being that when i use: component -> device -> component -> TV the image on my TV come out very dark making it almost impossible to see what i'm doing when i play games but when i use: Component -> device -> HDMI -> TV the colouring is wrong. however in both cases on PC in the preview box it is completely normal. Second: I record a few levels of 'Crash bandicoot' from my ps2 and the video appears to shake and flicker(i dont know if this is because its an old game) but it only shakes when crash moves or there's an object that moves in the screen (it does not shake in the game only the video). Third: In the software when i go to the options the only resolution i can get is 576i, this is for my PS2 and PS3. i bought a set of speedlink component cables off of 'Play.com' to try to get a better quality video however i do not know how well this will work. Additional information: I am using an LG TV which is 720p I am using windows 8 on my PC the component cables i am using are: http://www.play.com/Games/PlayStation3/4-/3326138/557968176/Sony-PS3-Component-AV-Cable/ListingDetails.html if video/photos are needed i can provide. as a last thought if there is no way to fix any of these (which is very, very, very unlikely) is it possible to get a refund? Any help will be appreciated thanks in advance.

No Signal On Tv But On Laptop

I just got my Roxio Game Capture HD Pro Yesterday and was trying to install it. I read the manuals and watched the Youtube videos to see how to set it up. I connected everything together but there is a problem. The video and audio is showing up on my laptop in 1080 but there is no output on my Roxio (TV displays "No Signal"). I tried using HDMI and Component for the output and also the input. Right now my, the Xbox and Roxio are connected via HDMI. The light on my Roxio is on HDMI and i checked the settings in the software. Is my Roxio broken? My TV is a VIZIO 32” Class LCD TV Model: E321VL And Laptop is Dell Inspiron N411Z With i5 2.5GHz CPU, 8 GB Ram, 64 Bit operating system.
  24. I have an Input of a HDMI signal (Xbox -> HDMI -> Roxio) but there is no output (Roxio -> Component Cable -> TV. I have read the sides and I know which side is which. Can the wires not cross?
  25. i plugged in my hd pro via hdmi from xbox and to the tv. everything plays fine and captures fine, but theres no sound to my tv or to the captured game. i can hear everything through my turtle beach headset, but nothing comes out of the tv. any ideas?
