Input Problem, Black Screen

Hey everyone . Firstly id like to say I love my ROXIO HD PRO and have never had a problem with it until as of recently after not using it for about 2 weeks it hasnt worked properly. The first thing that happened was it kept coming up saying select device not found so I followed this http://forums.suppor...vice-not-found/ and it helped fix the problem but now all i have is a blank screen where it doesnt seem to be recieving input even tho the USB Device is working and the XBOX 360 is working on the TV. Also i am using a 2m USB extender which works great and has never had problems with. This is my current setup And this is what I am getting on my computer everytime i try and use it after unplugging it and reconnecting all the leads even reinstalling it all from CD. Also here are my PC Specs: Motherboard - ASUS S1366 P6X58D-E Motherboard CPU - Intel Core i7 950 3.07GHz @ 3068 MHz CPU Cooler - Zalman CNPS10X GPU - ASUS ATI Radeon HD 5870 RAM - 6gb tripple channel 1600mhz Power Supply - OCZ 700W ModXstream PRO DVD - Pioneer DVR-219BK 24x DVD DL Burner SATA Black HD - 1TB Seagate 7200rpm SATA 6Gb/s HDD Monitor - 23" Led Samsung monitor Keyboard - Logitech G15 Keyboard Mouse - Logitech HID Operating System Windows 7 64Bit Hope someone can help me out
2. I bought the video capture USB device, brought it home, installed the correct drivers, then I plugged the device in. I plugged up the VCR to the device and puled up VLC and configured it correctly and it worked. It continued working for several days, then stopped. Now when I do the above, I only get sound but I do not get video. I have tried everything from trying new USB ports to uninstalling the drivers and programs and doing a fresh install, but even that doesn't work. I still get no video but I get sound. I have tried the device on other computers and they all work correctly. By this time I had already searched every inch of the Roxio website knowledge base, my problem exists nowhere on the internet that I have seen. Similar problems exist but they all have solutions that don't matter to my device. Although I have tried them. I have tried for days to get ahold of someone in tech support from Roxio, but each time I can't. I was wondering if it was the USB device, but it's not since it works on other computers. I wondered if it's my computer, which I don't know Windows 7 well enough to figure that out yet but it seems fine. All this proves that anything in the knowledge base won't fix my problem. If someone could help me with this, I'll provide any information you like to help you understand this problem. Thank you anyone who replies.
3. This 'software' has now ventured into unusable territory. For the past couple of weeks when I export a video, it makes the video play at 1/2x speed while the audio is played normally, and "squeezes" the picture to 4:3 even though the file is 1280x720. Does anyone have a solution for this?
4. When I upload a video to YouTube there is a green horizontal thin line at the bottom of the video. It isn't there when I am editing the video in the Roxio editing software, but when I upload the video, the green line appears on YouTube. Does anyone know a fix to this problem. If you want an example, watch WTF News on my channel: TheMixTide

7. Hi Roxio Community, Have a problem with Toast 11. Trying to burn a Disc Image created in Adobe Encore. When I drag in the .iso file from Finder it loads up as expected but when I go into the settings it shows that the quality is only Very Good and not Identical as it shows when I copy direct from a DVD directly as opposed to an iso file? The compression is showing as 'Low' and the quality is less than 100% match to the original. Why is this? I have already encoded it Toast please don't try and re-encode it! In seriousness, is it something that will be a problem? Should I just burn it from Disk Utility? Really appreciate any help or advice. Best wishes, Alex
8. So, I just got my Roxio GC HD Pro, (which I didn't order from this website) and I'm getting genuinely mad at this piece of hardware. My situation: I'm normally plugging my Xbox into my monitor, which doesn't have an HDMI input, only DVI. So my setup is as follows: Xbox ---HdmiSplitter ---HDMI---> Roxio GC HD Pro | ---Hdmi to DVI converter --> Monitor If anyone suggests checking the cable connection, I'm gonna ragequit and just send this back. That suggestion never helped anyone. When I start up my Xbox, my monitor doesn't display anything until it eventually lights up for one frame, showing a correctly displayed Xbox dashboard, and then return to showing nothing. It lights up about once every 5 minutes. In the Roxio Game capture HD Pro Software it says "No Signal" while displaying some strange lines which just flicker across the window. (Strangely, those lines cannot be picked up by screencapping, which is why I can't provide screenshots.) Those lines appear to be small parts of a correct image. I checked my settings but I can't find any property related to the problem. The Gamecap HD is shown in my Device manager and I already tried uninstalling the device and then repairing the installation. I have tried this both on Windows XP x86 and Windows 7 x64, same results. Might be related to the Xbox as it adjusts to the output (HDMI / DVI), which is pretty pointless, because to my knowledge there's no need for conversion between the two formats. If you need additional information, just ask. But please don't suggest things like "Make sure you powered on your Xbox". Makes me rage...
9. When ever i click "live stream" and type in my username and password, it says "Failed to login. Please make sure the username or password is correct." and it is all correct. What is wrong?

Roxio Game Capture Hd Pro No Audio

Hi there I'm having a problem with my roxio game capture HD pro. Whenever I try to record any gameplay from my xbox 360, there is never any audio coming from my TV or in the recorded video, I've tried other HDMI cables but the problem remains. If I connect the xbox to the TV without the roxio HD pro via HDMI the audio is fine. It records perfectly, there just isn't any sound to go with it. I currently have the game capture pro connected to my PC, but I tried connecting it to a laptop, with the game capture pro recording software installed and up to date, but I still got the no audio issue. Also when I connect my xbox directly to my TV, the display settings on the xbox show that my TV screen resolution is at 1080p, widescreen, HDMI. Yet when I'm connected through the roxio HD Pro it changes to 1920x1080, widescreen, DVI. Could this change be what's causing the loss of audio? Any and all help would be appreciated thanks

Capture Input Audio Only

Hey guys I recently purchased a roxio game capture hd pro for my youtube channel and i've been loving it! It was working just fine everything about it on my old tv. But now I have a new tv that is hd(unlike the old one) and i've been having some troubles. All the cables are plugged in correctly and the xbox is running and the light for the capture is on. However, when I plug the usb into the laptop and start the capture, it starts spazzing out for a while going back and forth between hdmi and component, but when it stops, instead of seing what's playing on my xbox, i see a blue screen but I CAN HEAR THE XBOX AUDIO. It also says there's no input. Im confused and haven't found anything like this on the previous forums. Anyone have advice?
13. Today, I received my Roxio Game Capture HD Pro. I'm very happy to have it and finally do something with it, but there is a problem with that. Every time I try to install the program and content from the installation DVD, I get stopped at the end and met with a message saying, "Roxio Game Capture HD Pro Wizard was interrupted." Here's the message I'm getting: http://i.imgur.com/8wngj.png After that happened, I went online to look for some resolutions to my problem. I found a support page for Roxio and did everything they said that was there: If installing from disc, try copying all files from the disc to a folder on the hard drive then installing from hard drive. If the installation rolls back at .Net Framework or has error 0643, uninstall .Net Framework 3.5 SP1 from Control Panel If the installation rolls back at DirectX, install DirectX from DIRECTX_FEB10 folder on the disc then reinstall. Disable Startup items from msconfig. If installing from disc, try copying all files from the disc to a folder on the hard drive then installing from hard drive. I tried all of these, and the installation was still not completed (it kept stopping at the same part - this is the part that it stops at: http://i.imgur.com/2Ifxo.png). If anybody can help me figure out what is going wrong (or what I'm doing wrong), I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you for your time. Edited to get rid of the log files since it is zipped properly, in the next post.

Roxio Hd Pro Audio Problem? Help?

I just got my Roxio HD Pro for christmas, replacing my old Roxio Game Capture. I love it so far, the quality is way better than the SD Roxio. However, My old one also had audio problems at first, being was too loud when capturing, but was later fixed. Now, the new Roxio has a really weird high pitched buzzing sound that wont go away. Sounds like boiling water in a kettle. Listen for yourself here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aTEWQOzCxzY As you can here, it has a really weird buzzing sound that sounds like it has rotary. It wont go away. I know its not my roxio, because even when i unplug the audio from the Game Capture HD itself, the program still makes the sound. As if the Media Import is the one adding the buzzing sound to the audio. I have no idea how to fix this, will someone please help? Thank you all so much!

No Signal And No Display

I have set up everything correctly; hdmi going from roxio to tv, hdmi going to xbox to roxio and USB plugged in correctly. I've tried different cables, different ports, changing the Xbox resolution and even tried it on my PC but still no luck. I get a "No Signal" message on the GameCap recording software and also I'm unable to view my xbox on my TV. I even see the driver "Roxio GameCap HD Pro" when plugged in so that's fine. I'm not sure why this is happening at all and this is the main problem. I also encountered something else similarly related. So the first day I got it I was eager to try it out. My current setup is a monitor and a splitter which has my PC and Xbox running through that so I can easily switch between viewing the Xbox and PC on my monitor. I installed the CD, connected all the wires (first with the splitter, I plugged one of the HDMI from the roxio into a spare input slot on the splitter) and I turned on my xbox and I got no display on my monitor but when I switched to the PC (where the USB was plugged in) I saw the recording software said "ready" and I saw my xbox! But I wasn't able to play because I couldn't see my xbox. So I decided to change that and do it directly. I plugged in everything again this time without the splitter (so monitor > roxio > xbox and USB into PC). This time, I still got no display and, obviously since my PC wasn't plugged in I couldn't see if the recording software had shown signal. But its ok, I had one more idea. This time I brought a laptop in, and did the same thing except plug the USB into my laptop, not my PC, So I could view the recording software (I had installed it on the laptop too). But, of course, still no signal OR display. I eventually got bored of this and decided to fix it later so I re-plugged in my old set up with my xbox and pc into the splitter with an output to my monitor and decided to play some xbox. Except now my xbox didn't show any display. I believed the roxio has screwed up some settings on my monitor so now I couldn't play xbox on my monitor until I fixed it (I even tried direct, without the splitter but still didnt work). So I tried my xbox on a TV instead but it still didn't work. I had one more TV downstairs so I tried it and to my amazement it worked! So then I thought, if it's working I can try to set up the recorder and that's when the first part of this post comes in how I tried to set it all up but it didn't work. Ultimately I want to be able to make it work with the monitor but first I have to figure out why I'm getting No signal, or no display/preview on my tv.
16. Hy guys, sorry for my bad english. Thanks in advance for the replyes!!! I think i just have a bad luck^^ After some issue with the spedition, the Roxio Game Capture HD finally comes to my house. But here's the problem: I know my PC have more then the minimun requirements to run the roxio software. I insert the Roxio DVD,click two times on it,and it start the installation. I choose the language, accept the term of use, mark the "joyn the roxio group" after that it cames an alert message that say: In order to install the Roxio the installation will delete some program on your computer,it doesent say wich program or what. If i say NO,it will interrupt the installation,so i click on YES,the installation continues i insert the serial number and finally it start the installation, but when is almost finish it will interrupt and say: the installation was interrupted, and didint say why or what i have to do,i just can click on the LOG FILE or close the installation. If anyone can give me some advise ill appreciate Let me know if i have to attach some pics or been more detailed on my pc. Thanks again Have a nice day Gio

I've seen tutorials on how to install and connect the components but not served me, idk if my tv is the problem this is LG. It will be a compatibility issue? Roxio in PC
18. Hello, I am posting because of a problem I tend to receive when attempting to edit my game captures. More specifically, whenever I try to add background audio (Just by clicking the button), the window closes, and occasionally it says: VideoWave has stopped working, click to diagnose the problem. Diagnostics cannot find the problem. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks, EverythingXbox http://www.youtube.com/user/EverythingXbox121/feed?filter=2

20. Hey there I have the weirdest problem with my Roxio PC Game Capture! I start up Steam first, select my game and play it. When it launches I go back to the desktop whilst the game is still running and launch Roxio PC Game Capture. I then press CAPTURE and sign into WeGame. After that I go back on the game. The green square appears but when I press F6 to record the game closes. Now Steam says it is still running and when I try to close down Steam it says exit off the game. The game doesn't even appear in the Taskbar. It has done this with every game in my Steam library! Only closes down the game when Roxio PC Game Capture is running! Can someone please help me!!!

22. I have my computer and consoles all set up to my television (So I use my television as my PC monitor). I originally thought that I could set RGC to record the console, switch channels on my television and then play the game. Unfortunately, when I tried this the recording ends. Is there any way to counter this or would using a second monitor work? Also, while I'm here, I can only record my PS3 in 576p. Is there anyway to be able to record in 1080p or i? Thanks, Kenny~
23. On my TV picture is OK but on my capture screen, picture is croped like this: The lower edge of the screen. I update software, try to find any solution but without sucess. My XBox is set to 1080i. Same is with 720p. Any solution to this. Thank you. Vladimir.
24. Hi I recently just noticed that in the 'Getting Setup' Tutorial for Xbox 360 the man plugs the Xbox 360 Component AV Cable into the Roxio the AV Cables goes fully in the Roxio without showing any of the gold bits. (I took a print screen of the part of the 'Getting Setup' Xbox 360 tutorial where the AV Cables fully into the Roxio) (This is how my AV Cable looks in the Roxio and as you can see compared to the photo above they look different) I don't know if this is a major performance problem but I'm asking does your AV Cables go fully in or do they look like mine if they go fully in could you tell me how you made they go fully in or if yours is like mine then obviously that is the way it is supposed to look. Cheers Sam
25. I just got the game cap on saturday for my PS3 and I've been trying to hook it up. I finally got it all set up for my laptop and it looked alright but my laptop can't handle recording anything (ex. Fraps) so the video was just really choppy and laggy. So I decided to try hooking it up to my dad's PC which is much better then my PC upstairs. -Windows 7 Ultimate 32-Bit -8 Gb RAM -2, NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GSO 512 -Intel Pentium D CPU 3.40 GHz So I hooked it up, install the software, installed the service pack 2 patch, and the screen is all flickering and flashing. If it was just a little I would probably feel better but this is like unwatchable. When I try to adjust the TV Standard, I can kind of lower how much flicker but it's still there every few seconds instead of all the time. I've tried every standard, I tried switching USB cables, I tried switching USB ports, I tried flipping the component cables on the game cap, I tried changing the output resolution of my PS3 to every possible variation and I still can't get it to work. My TV screen is fine though so I don't know what's going on. Unlisted Test Video on my Youtube Channel: http://youtu.be/-sERIuu6qbM
