    Roxio Is A Disappointment!

    Hello, I have under different user names and accounts over the years contacted Roxio for the plethora of issues I faced with the Game Capture and Game Capture HD Pro and I would just like to say my experience has been horrible. If you intend to buy a Roxio product in the future I implore that you don't and save your money for something that isn't like this, where you toss your money into a ditch. Everything about the software is broken, it rarely works, and until just recently, I could not even get the program for Game Capture to open. Software updates are a rarity and when they occur they often don't even fix the issues that are present, it's almost as if this product was a complete back seat afterthought. My main issue however lies in the forums. The administrators present to help solve your problems are ignorant and clueless. They do not even know their own product! I would like to elaborate on one particular member, Jim Hardin, who I believe to be the worst customer support representative I have ever dealt with. He is quite clearly too "out of date" with the latest technology to have any idea how to fix issues with an already terrible product. I do not know who he thinks he is, being so ignorant as to blame and individuals hardware for his joke of a product. It is disgusting how condescending and visibly irritated he sounds to be dealing with problems he is supposed to have solved. In conclusion, do not deal with roxio anymore, I cannot stress this enough. I have dealt with bad companies in my time, but this is by far the worst. You've been warned

    Editing Crashing

    I've been having this problem for a while and I want it to stop since it makes editing the Videos hell. Everytime I click a button or try to cut the video or do anything for that matter it crashes or freezes alot. I used this on a older computer without this issue and now I have it on a better computer. I wanna know what I can do to fix it or something th ecompany can do to solve it.

  8. Please help my picture on my ps4 doesnt fit the tv screen properly even though i've attempted to change the resolution in (Sound and Screen,Video Output Settings,Resolution) . I'm not sure whats wrong with it any help?
  9. So I am in the Videowave software part of Roxios advanced editing and I want to add some music to the background. I have been successful in adding what ever music I want ( my own personal music that I have purchaced ) but then there is an option for Scorefitter, so I wanted to check it out.... I havent been able to access any of the music on scorefitter. I dont hear any of the previews either. Being curious I continued on and I click Add background audio in the upper left hand corner Score fitter and it gives me the option to; Put on music track, sound FX or internal on the video selected and I make a selection within the scorefitters genres and what nots. so every time I click on scorefitters music to add, I get this message. " Audio cannot be added at this position " I have tried to "repair" the content why going to the installation icon, still no success I have a windows 8.1 Any advice???? thanks in advanced

  11. When i try to change my roxio profile i can only select 480i and not HD 720p because it doesn't show up. I've looked over the web and cannot find anything about this. Also i get a black preview screen and when i try to start capturing footage it creates a file that is not viewable. Then i got a prompt to use ffdshow which changed me to windows 7 basic which changed the preview screen to show a purple box instead of black.
  12. I have something to say regarding the streaming. In the last 3 years that I've owned this product I've tried to use it for it's intended purpose upwards of 40 times. The only time it ever worked (barely) was when recording directly to my computer and nowadays it can't even be depended on to do that. The twitch streaming worked once ever for less than 5 minutes and to this day it is advertised as able to stream to twitch on the sales site. Even at this very moment the capture program is frozen on my screen because I tried to load the program in a moment of hopeful enthusiasm. Because of how poorly it's programmed you can't simply end the process and retry. It will not let you try again without restarting. Today it's the 3rd time restarting my computer, 4th time reinstalling, last time I'll ever trying to use it. This is a story I've relived countless times and the disappointment and frustration I feel is overwhelming. I've sent reports in to the company through the program (when it worked) and I've never once received a reply or an explanation and my only thoughts on this are that they have my money and don't care. I will never buy another Roxio product again, I will tell everyone I know to avoid everything Roxio. I tried to support them and enjoy the product but in the end I spent 160$ on a paperweight that lights up when plugged into a USB. They should be ashamed to have it on the market with their name attached to it. The quality of the product is parallel to the quality of the customer support and anyone looking to purchase it should invest in another product. I'm gonna just run over mine with the car now and try to forget I ever owned it. Funny thing is I'm not even angry, just sad that I was duped.

    Roxio Game Capture Hd Pro Setup Help!

    Hello, So i have been trying to set up sounds so that my roxio game capture records it. So basically i have this setup. I have a Asus G750JS-T4064H Gaming Notebook (HDMI Wire Output from Capture Card) Acer G246HL Abd 24-Inch Screen LED-Lit Monitor (HDMI wire from monitor to capture card imput)Acer Aspire V5 Touch Notebook Turtle Beach Headset X12 Roxio Game Capture HD PRO Do note that my monitor does not have any speakers at the back. I am trying to record my Gaming notebook. However I have no idea how to set it up despite looking at the manual countless of times. Also, audio seems to not function even though i can record the screen. I want it so i can record it on my acer aspire v5 touch notebook, and able to play the game on my notebook. (with sound) Please help! Thank you.

    I have a registered Roxio Game Capture HD Pro, but unfortunately I have lost the disc that came with it. Therefore after restarting my laptop I can no longer get the software again. Is there any way I could download it off of the website?
  15. I recently completely restored my computer, i lost all my files and such in the process. I need to get the capture software that comes with the CD. I tried to download off this website, but it says that it couldn't locate it on my system. Do I need a new CD? Am I downloading the wrong file? Please help!   16. Hi, I recently purchased a Roxio Gamecapture HD Pro and after over 7 hours of trying to set it up, I am really wondering why I didn't just pay the extra for an Elgato. After installing the software, downloading the service pack updates and rebooting the machine, whenever I try to capture gameplay footage the program crashes immediately. My machine has more than the recommended specification requirements so I know that isn't an issue. I have attached a screen grab below to illustrate my problem. I don't understand how Roxio can justify charging what they do for this when I see this problem happening to a lot of people and they offer NO customer support at all - OR they charge you for it. If anyone can help, I would hugely appreciate it. Jim
  17. Whenever I try to update my software for my game capture HD pro it gives me an error message. I've attached a screenshot. I'm really confused what I'm supposed to do. Repairing the program through "programs and features" on my computer didn't work either. In fact, it gave me the same message when I tried to repair it.

    Update/use With Mac

    Hey All, I know currently that the Roxio Game Capture HD Pro currently does not work with any Apple computer (unless you run windows through it), but is there any news about a possible update that might be coming out soon that would enable you to record gameplay using a Mac computer? Or is it physically impossible due to something inside the capture card. If you guys have heard anything please be sure to post here ASAP Cheers, PsYchDesmon
  19. Hey Guys, I have a monitor that has 2 HDMI IN PORTS and 1 HDMI OUT PORT. If i ran 1 HDMI from the "HDMI OUT" port on my BenQ Monitor, into the "HDMI IN" on my Roxio Game Capture HD Pro, then the provided USB from the Roxio Game Capture HD Pro in my Computer, would this still enable me too record my gameplay at 720? Or, do i have to use my Roxio Game Capture HD Pro as a pass through in between my PS4 and my Monitor. Any answers on this would be great! Currently, i am also experiencing a problem where the preview screen within the Roxio Game Capture HD Pro software is Black/Purple, yet the signal say's "READY" and when i record the gameplay still comes out fine... But i'd still be able too prefer to be able too look at the preview whilst im recording too make sure everything is ok. Any ideas? Any help/tips would be appreciated! Cheers, PsYchDesmon

So I have not used the roxio hd Pro in a little bit, so I decided to hook it up and try it out, It displays the Game BUT its got a red tone to it, it shows the game but its red pretty much lol so I don't know if its broke? or if I have to download an update? I am downloading an update hoping that this fixes it but if not oh well . I'm using it with a Xbox one. any thoughts broken or just need an update? i'm assuming its broke lol.

  22. Hello everyone, I've had my Capture Cars for quite some time, and had no problems with it at all. I've created numerous with it, and had plenty of fun recording gameplay. However, I went to record something today, and hit a problem. It occurs everytime I get to this: I click on "Capture", and the load icon flashes quickly before disappearing and nothing happening. I've read that updating your PC helps, but my PC doesn't want to install all the latest updates it has either! So, I'm really not sure what's going on. Any help would be great. I not all to great with computers, so as simple as possible would be great. Thank you all in advance!

  24. I installed the Roxio game capture software on my previous computer a while ago, and I have since purchased a new one because the old one had a virus and "died". I still have the Product Registration Key for the software, but have lost the disc and therefore can not install the software. Is there anyway I can download the game capture software online?
