  1. When exporting output from Creator NXT 2, clicking the Create Video File button results in a pop-up box with the message "ERROR Unable to build render graph". I can't output any work from NXT2. Creator 2011 worked just fine with the same .mpg files. Any answers?
  2. Ive had my Roxio Capture card HD PRO for a while now and when i first used it on my windows 8 pc it worked fine but recently videowave has stopped working, i click on videowave on the lanuchpad, the orange loading box appears and then 5 seconds later just says "videowave has stopped working". I can still capture gameplay but it just wont load videowave. Ive tried unistalling it and reinstalling, just loading videowave from the file location and not going though the lanuchpad, ive tried running it with and without updates, im pretty sure this problem started when i changed my graphics card, it work when i has a Radeon HD 5450 and then i change to a Geforce GT 610 silent and it stopped working now i have a GTX 760 twin frozr. i tired running it on my 5450 but didnt work, so im guessing its a software problem what do i do to fix it?
  3. Hello! I just got a new Roxio Game Capture, and have noticed a big problem considering I do walkthrough videoswith editing my gameplay, and a lot of others have, but haven't been able to get a straight answer. Whenever I use Videowave to edit videos, that audio lags to the point where it sticks out like a sore thum. I know its not the auctual file, because I viewed it using Window's Media Player, but whenever I use Videowave, the same problem accours. Does anyone know how to fix this, or is there something you can download to patch this problem? If you want to know what I am talking about, check out these videos: http://youtu.be/INxZrxVdhQI http://youtu.be/-qJGjMxA_BA
  4. I just purchased MyDvd Video Lab & when I use Videowave it either says it has stopped working or I get a runtime error. It is happening at random times & I have tested various things to see if there is any consistency & cannot find any. At times it errors out while saving, other times when adding transitions. I tried a new project with only 5 pictures with the same issues. I have attached a screenshot of the operating system info. If there is other info needed to determine how to fix this I can get that info.
  5. All other Roxio products work fine. But VideoWave NEVER opens and instead gives me the following error. 6. I submitted the following warranty request to Corel and below that I have placed the solution they provided, which fixed my problem. I thought other users may be able to benefit from this. "I have Roxio Creator NXT Pro installed on my system and whenever I try to start VideoWave or MyDVD I receive the error “VideoWave has stopped working” and I must shut down the program. When I originally installed Roxio NXT on my system (with administrator rights) it worked fine. I even created a DVD with MyDVD. I first became aware of this p roblem when I tried to run MyDVD again, with the intent of authoring another DVD. I am running Windows 7 SP1 on a Pentium 4 3.60GHz system. I didn’t make any changes to my system (software or hardware) before this problem started, other than Windows updates. Here are the steps I have tried to correct the problem, with no success. Attempted repair from Control Panel, Programs and Features from clean boot multiple times (5 or 6) with no luck. Uninstalled Roxio NXT and attempted to reinstall using Roxio Cleaner from clean boot with administrator rights multiple times. The installation failed and rolled back every time. I used up my 10 installs and had to request my Product Key to be reset. I attempted to reinstall again with no luck. After this, I restored my system from a drive image to at least get the installed Roxio NXT back. I then tried a repair from a clean boot with admin rights 4 times and still VideoWave does not work. Please tell me how I can get Roxio Creator NXT Pro MyDVD and VideoWave working properly again on my system. Thank you." And here is the fix Corel provided. One note; the Creator NXT Pro would not install under the new user account I created, but it did install properly under my original administrator account, I guess the repairs to DirctX, MSXML and .NET Framework did the trick. Thank you for contacting Corel Customer Support. Here's what I can recommend. 1. Remove Roxio on your current account. 2. Create a new admin account. 3. Clear temp files and make sure to turn off Antivirus and Firewall 4. Repair or reinstall this following plugins DirectX, MSXML 4.0 and .NET Framework http://www.microsoft...s.aspx?id=15697 http://www.microsoft...ls.aspx?id=8109 Go to control panel and then locate and uninstall Microsoft .NET framework. Reinstall .NET framework from the link below. http://www.microsoft...s.aspx?id=17718 5. Install Roxio NXT on the new user admin account
  7. Whenever I open up VideoWave and click Add Photo/Video, after a few seconds the program freezes and I get the following message: videoWave has stopped working A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. "VideoWave has stopped working A problem caused the prgram to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." I tried unistalling and reinstalling the program, but no success. I've got windows 7 64, and I recently upgraded from Roxio Creator 2012, which I never had any problems with. Help would be greatly appreciated. Otherwise I'll try and get a refund. Thanks

    Some Overlay Help?

Hello I'm editing some gameplay videos and have run into a bit of a problem: There's some nudity. Now YouTube would of course flip out on me and have strikes against me going against ToS. So I've been trying to have motion to the overlay I'm using in certain path, and not some of the default motions they have for overlays (Scroll, slide in, etc). I was hoping without much need for outside editing software if there is a way to make an overlay follow a certain path in a video to act as a censor of sorts. If I do need some outside software intervention, then any ideas of free to cheap programs that could accomplish this? ~Sincerely, CaponeOfWV
  9. So it appears I loose quality from the raw video to putting it into Videowave. I've tried to google and searching around for a solution but I don't see anything. So when I record (Anything, using Video capture for the Xbox, or something I recorded with fraps) I put it into Videowave and I seem to lose some quality. I play the raw video in Windows media player and it's at a decent quality, but when I put it into video wave everything is a little more blurry and hard to make out. Some text is blurry, and you can't see some details. I also put the video(s) into Camtasia Studio 8 and the quality was as good as the raw video, so it seems to be a Videowave problem. Is there anyway to fix this? A setting? Something? If you need an example I can put a couple videos, one raw and one from videowave.
  10. its a 3 min wmv file and no matter the settings (wide screen 720 1080 video wmv, and mpeg 2 ) it plays the audio in reverse on both computers using windows 7 and 8 and on both programs after converting the wmv raw file to a smaller file.... it also plays in reverse when dropping on the timeline in videowave editor.... not even converted yet... yes the raw WMV file plays fine in windows media player and even the roxio movie player!!! now thats messing with my head.... i tried to out smart it and do a double convert making a copy of a copy so the audio would reverse back ....but no it still plays in reverse.... any ideas???? thanks so much
  11. I made a slide show in Videowave with pics and (HD) video. I've tried a couple different rendering formats and a few of them look great on Windows Medica Player. However, when I pull them into MyDVD, the DVDs are not as clear. For example - even if I render at SP quality which creates a 5 gig file, when I put it into MyDVD, it shrinks the file to 2 gigs and appears to reduce the quality. Are there any ways around this?

    Disc Error

I have installed Creator NXT@ on a Dell laptop. 8gb Ram, Win7 X64. I have created a video in VideoWave combining mp3 for the menu, jpeg photos and AVI video clips. When I burn the DVD it works fine in the drive of the computer. Putting it in a DVD player throws off a 'DISC ERROR.' I know it's not much to go on. Any ideas? Thanks.
  13. Videowave frequently freezes and I lose work I haven't saved. Videowave will not work again until I restart my computer. Worse, after editing just a few videos, videowave freezes and, when restarted, cannot find my projects. When I check the folder, I find each project file has been split into two seperate files, neither of which is recognized by videowave. I have to uninstall, and then reinstall Roxio to have it work properly. Sometimes my files return, sometimes they're still split and useless. These problems are not unique to this computer (Windows 7, 64-bit), but haunt my laptop (Vista) as well. Why is the program becoming corrupted, or is it a problem inherent in the program?

    My Videowave Lags A Lot.

Hi When I go to edit my videos it lags when it plays the video so I find it really hard to edit the video when it won't even play because its lagging to bad. Any suggestions on how to Reduce the Lag?
  15. My jpeg images are about 5 megs each. Using VideoWave, I usually view the finished DVD on TV's that are 40 inches or more, There are about 600 photos to pack into the DVD, each about 4 seconds. What is a good image size to keep the pictures relatively sharp? I will keep zoomed photos with high resolution. Should I resize the others? Thanks.
  16. Everytime I try to click into Roxio Videowave it doesn't respond and displays a menu stating so. I tried clicking on "check online for solution" but nothing happens. I also put my start up disk in to repair it but that didn't work either?

    Sluggish Editing In Videowave

I'm having a few issues editing videos with the videowave. This is my first time doing video editing of any kind and I'm not the most knowledgeable person when it comes to laptop hardware and things of that nature. The problem is when I try to split the video, videowave stops responding for a minute or so and I have to wait for it to be responsive again. The file that I'm trying to edit is very large so I'm guessing that that might be the issue (the file size is 7.63 GB). Looking at the system requirements, I thought that my laptop met them. I just want to know if I'm doing anything wrong.
  18. I'm working with Creator 2010 Pro, and in the VideoWave module. I'm using the storyline view, and am trying to add color panels with text in them. The instructions in the help files say that if I right click on an existing color panel and choose the "insert color panel" command, a new panel will be added before the panel I clicked on, but when I do this, it adds the new panel at the end of the whole series of panels already in the storyline. Also, I'm not able to move the panels from one tile to another in the project. No drag and drop. And when I change the time duration of a color panel, all the text in every panel after it is deleted, making it impossible to edit the amount of time the text displays in each panel.

    Creator Nxt Videowave Fonts

Hi - I have recently bought Creator NXT having used EMC10 and earlier versions successfully for many years. Using EMC10 I created a set of DVDs in which I used a Flat Brush font for the text which I found ideal for my purpose. I now want to create more of the same series of DVDs but I can't find this font in Creator NXT. Does anyone know of any way fonts can be added to those available in Videowave, or know of a font that is very, very similar? If there is no solution I will have to revert to EMC10 for these DVDs. Very annoying, but I really do want to use the Flat Brush font. Why, why, why do software companies do this sort of thing??? Many thanks in anticipation. Dave

    Pixelated Video? Hard To Edit

I have been editing in videowave and the preview box shows the videos like this http://prntscr.com/2fj91u That link is a screenshot of the preview box. Also, when recording the preview box is black, but that's a separate problem and not as 'serious'. How can I fix that horrible pixelated effect it's giving in the preview box in VideoWave? Is there anything I can use to convert the m2ts to mp4 or something? Won't that downgrade my quality though? My computer isn't crappy or anything and can run anything else I guess.
  22. Used VideoWave successfully once and setup a project. Now when I try to startup VideoWave it locks up at the splash screen and then after a few minutes I get the "VideoWave has stopped working" pop-up window. The event log (see below my system information) reveals the issue is with CLSID 5A7B1561-8FF8-47B9-AFF2-D55125E2FA0D which is associated with the following registry key "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\MGI.MM14LibFactory\CLSID". I have run through VisualStudio 2012 debugger and attached image at event breakpoint for "Unhandled exception at 0x05158167 (VWUIControls.dll) in VideoWave14.exe: 0xC000041D: An unhandled exception was encountered during a user callback." I can't debug any further without the "VWUIControls.pdb" file--and don't know how to get it. I also include the call stack below the event log which is below my System Information. --------------------------------------------- ---------------------------- System Information ---------------------------- Time of this report: 4/22/2013, 08:40:03 Machine name: <Removed from this message> Operating System: Windows 8 Pro 64-bit (6.2, Build 9200) (9200.win8_gdr.130306-1502) Language: English (Regional Setting: English) System Manufacturer: INTEL_ System Model: DG33TL__ BIOS: Default System BIOS Processor: Intel® Core2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.4GHz Memory: 8192MB RAM Available OS Memory: 8122MB RAM Page File: 3719MB used, 12595MB available Windows Dir: C:\WINDOWS DirectX Version: DirectX 11 DX Setup Parameters: Not found User DPI Setting: Using System DPI System DPI Setting: 96 DPI (100 percent) DWM DPI Scaling: Disabled DxDiag Version: 6.02.9200.16384 64bit Unicode --------------- Display Devices --------------- Card name: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti Manufacturer: NVIDIA Chip type: GeForce GTX 560 Ti Driver Name: nvd3dumx.dll,nvwgf2umx.dll,nvwgf2umx.dll,nvd3dum,nvwgf2um,nvwgf2um Driver File Version: 9.18.0013.1106 (English) Driver Version: 9.18.13.1106 DDI Version: 11 Feature Levels: 11.0,10.1,10.0,9.3,9.2,9.1 Driver Model: WDDM 1.2 Graphics Preemption: DMA Compute Preemption: DMA Driver Attributes: Final Retail Driver Date/Size: 2/26/2013 00:32:38, 18055184 bytes WHQL Logo'd: n/a WHQL Date Stamp: n/a Device Identifier: {D7B71E3E-5140-11CF-A05F-65351CC2C435} Vendor ID: 0x10DE Device ID: 0x1200 SubSys ID: 0x15683842 Revision ID: 0x00A1 Driver Strong Name: oem65.inf:0f066de37527e28c:Section023:9.18.13.1106:pci\ven_10de&dev_1200 Rank Of Driver: 00E02001 Video Accel: ModeMPEG2_A ModeMPEG2_C ModeVC1_C ModeWMV9_C ------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------- Event Log ---------------------------- - <Event xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/win/2004/08/events/event"> - <System> <Provider Name="Microsoft-Windows-DistributedCOM" Guid="{1B562E86-B7AA-4131-BADC-B6F3A001407E}" EventSourceName="DCOM" /> <EventID Qualifiers="0">10010</EventID> <Version>0</Version> <Level>2</Level> <Task>0</Task> <Opcode>0</Opcode> <Keywords>0x8080000000000000</Keywords> <TimeCreated SystemTime="2013-04-23T16:12:38.578117200Z" /> <EventRecordID>502356</EventRecordID> <Correlation /> <Execution ProcessID="128" ThreadID="10852" /> <Channel>System</Channel> <Computer><not going to display here></Computer> <Security UserID="<not going to display here>" /> </System> - <EventData> <Data Name="param1">{5A7B1561-8FF8-47B9-AFF2-D55125E2FA0D}</Data> </EventData> </Event> ------------------------------- ---------------------------- Debug Call Stack ---------------------------- 'VideoWave14.exe' (Win32): Loaded 'D:\Multimedia\Roxio Creator NXT\VideoUI\VideoWave14.exe'. 23. Been trying to render a video and for the past couple of days, when I try to render or share to YouTube, a box will pop up, but nothing is written in the box. After I close the box (as no text is there to say why the box showed up), VideoWave will freeze when trying to render and shut down. Not sure what the problem is, but I have uninstalled and re-installed to see if it fixed the issue, but it continues. Suggestions?
  24. I'm on windows 8 and when trying to add music to my videos, the program comes up with "videowave has stopped working" and then exits the program, is there anything i can do?
  25. Hi I installed Roxio Creator NXT Pro 2 Update (from Roxio 2012) today. Now I cannot open the VideoWave production file I created yesterday with the older version of VideoWave. The programm crashes without any error code. I uninstalled NXT Pro 2 and installed it again, making sure no other task was running and firewall/virus scan was off. The result is exactly the same. I tried to repair NXT Pro 2, nothing changed. I tried to open an other production file (a smaller one without any music and cuts), it works. I tried to create a new production and import a video file, it works. -> Only the production file mentioned lets VideoWave crash. The file worked in the older version yesterday, so I assume it is not corrupt. Should I uninstall the update and re-install the older version & hope for refund? Any solution? Thanks Erik
