    Stop Capture Makes Roxio Not Respond

    Hi Roxio, My capture card has been working perfect until today. Before the latest update, the most I've captured in footage has been almost 4 hours in a single run. After the latest update (today), I attempted to record about 3 hour's worth in a single run, but when I clicked the "stop capture" button, Roxio stopped responding. I'm worried that I have to end the process due to losing all the footage recorded, and having to do it again, and I REALLY don't want to. I have recorded other stuff after the update, and the most has been about 27 minutes long, and that content is fine. Do I HAVE to end the process?

    I am running Windows 7. I had the orignial VHS to DVD and had some problems with that, it seemed very tempramental. I just upgraded (downloaded) to Easy VHS to DVD 3 Plus. Now when I start the program it doesn't see my video input and says it is Not Responding. I have read a few other threads, but not sure how to supply some of the information that is asked for. How do I get my computer specs so others can see them? and how do I know what is in my startup menu? This is very frustrating.

    So whenever I try to open a production, that I am half-way through, it just loads for like 3 seconds then says not responding, then it responds, then it loads for another 3 seconds, then if I click the mouse once it will say not responding again. This cycle is just on going, it never responds for more than a few seconds. All my other productions are fine, I've made 45 minute long productions with no problem, this one is only around 5 minutes long. The only thing that sometimes messes up my other productions is when I add text, then sometimes it doesn't respond. I have read other posts about it not responding but they didn't seem to help. Thanks.

    Hello i recently got my roxio i recorded a couple of videos with it and it was fine. No about 3 days ago i got a error saying critical registry keys so i re installed the program and removed my registry keys that were related to roxio game cap hd software Now when i open the software it works but when i press the capture tab it stops responding and i don't know what to do i re installed it like 5 times and still no success. please help

    I have a 65GB file which I used to be able to open Toast and I was able to burn a portion of the video to a DVD as a test. Now I'm trying to do the rest and Toast simply sits there chewing up CPU for days but never comes back. Any suggestions?

    I have used roxio 2012 on my toshiba windows 7 laptop for a good two years without problems. I recently decided to try to convert the old cassette type tapes to CD. When I hooked my cassette player to my laptop I had a dump crash and now Roxio will not work, only message I get is one stating Roxio has stopped responding. I even uninstalled and reinstalled and still will not work. Can anyone tell me how I can fix this. Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling three times now with no positive results.

    I have just received my new roxio game capture hd pro today and i have performed a clean setup of the software and everything else and here is my problem. i open up the launch pad with the 2 options of Capture and the other of Edit and Share. The edit and share works perfectly fine but when i click on the blue button to open up the game capture software there is a brief moment of where it tries to open up the software and then it just stops working and promts me to close down the program. i am very confused to why it is doing this. i have got the previous roxio game capture device and that one works fine. i can capture and edit everything. i am going to put in my pc specs below just encase there is a problem there. - 6GB RAM - DirectX - 11 Intel I5 Processor - Windows 8.1 64-bit - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti i am also going to attach an image so that you can see that the editing software works and in front of that is the game capture software which states it is not working. i would be very grateful if someone can help me to fix this because if i cannot fix this it is nearly £90 pound wasted and i really want to use this device.

    My launchpad isn't responding anymore! It never had that problem since I bought the Game Capture Card. It always worked and now all of the sudden it's not responding anymore. I've tried fixing it and even re-installed it but everytime I start the launchpad it stops responding. I've added a screenshot where you can see that it's simply not responding (reageert niet = Dutch for not responding) Please help!

    (excuse my fail on the topic title, i was meant to put beginning) When I was editing a video the other day, every time I tried to move my audio just a little bit at a time so i could align it...it crashed and said not responding...i ended up closing the programme after waiting half an hour for it to unfreeze...so it takes even longer to edit a short video. Also when i was trying to edit a montage im working on, it keeps lagging and the little black bar that moves while playing, just stops and the video audio keeps playing but the video has froze...so i cant split anything or delete any bits because i dont know where ive got to delete and when i try and put the cursor on part and click play to see if that helps...its till lags and doesn't work....What's going on?! i'm so close to selling it

    sup guys everytime i got to hit the capture button the window will come up and it will say stop working i installed correctly i even unistalled it installed it about athousand times.     Hey all. First time posting on Roxio's forums Basically im just alittle baffled with the roxio hd pro software. I can be livestreaming or recording and randomly 1/5 of the time the software will stop responding for no reason. Now i am unsure if this is a known issue and it just happens randomly or its something im doing wrong. What i can say is i completely reinstalled my pc and installed the software on SSD to help read and write, I still 'sometimes' get this issue. My pc spec is an I5 3570 3.4 ghz, Gigabyte h61m-s2pv Motherboard with 4gb memory, Gtx 660, 2 agility 3 60GB SSD, 500GB WD Caviar blue. Like i say its a fresh install with windows and the software onto seperate ssd's so im not sure whats causing these random crashes. Otherwise the device and software is great when it doesnt crash i can pull out full 1080p videos and 720p livestreams no problem . File size is stunning. My suggestion would be to include having the option to add a camera device into recording and livestreaming, not like anyone has suggested it before ;s but i find myself messing around using other software to record camera seperate and messing around editing/syncing both clips.

    Trying to create a Blu-Ray disc using MP4 files edited in Video Wave then exported to MyDVD. Works in Video Wave but when I export to MyDVD I can create a title menu and create chapters at 15 min intervals that's as far as I can go. If I attempt to edit chapter names, preview the work, or simply burn to a Blu-Ray disc the program goes into Not Responding. Project Validates with no issues, no error codes, no nothing, program just stops responding.     Hello, I am having a pretty big problem. I can record and everything with the Roxio HD PRO, but when I click the edit & share I go into that. When I add a commentary or just something, it will freeze and say "Not Responding" Please help? Thanks! Topgammer

    I just got the Game Capture for christmas and have spent the last two hours trying to get it to work. As far as i can tell my computer meets the requirements and my directx, windows media player, internet explorer, etc. are up to date. I have uninstalled my AVG pc tuneup because i have read that registry cleaners mess up the installation and causes errors. I also turned off all of my startup content for the same reason. Yet 12 computer restarts and four installation attempts later i still cannot get the capture screen to work. I was able to open up the Edit and Share tab just fine, yet every time i attempt to open the Capture window it freezes with the words "select media type then device" in the top left corner and becomes unresponsive and will not exit until i restart my computer again. Windows task manager is aso unable to shut down the process and logging out of my account and signing back in makes the tab go away yet attempting to reopen the window states that only one instance may be open at a time. I am not sure if maybe i am unclear about my computer requirements and maybe am missing something important but this problem is already a headache. Any advice, tips, or solutions will be most appreciated.

    okay guys, when i click the roxio shortcut it opens a window with to option edit and share(works fine) and capture, everytime i have tried to open capture it had just said not reponding and all that i can see in the window is "choose the media type" and something else at the top left corner. my computer has all required specs and is running on windows 7, im rather annoyed as i bought this for £60 new!

    Hello, I've recently bought this product and I'm having trouble making it work. When I click the blue "Capture" button, it opens up the game capturing window. However, no matter how much I wait, the window will not respond. Please help me. Also, it appears I've connected everything correctly, but the video game doesn't appear on the television.

    I do have problem with my Roxio software i think every time i wan to Live stream i can do it for short time and then software window is not Responding ?? any suggestions Help please thanks, pay $149 for the think and does'n work can i return and get my money back .....i'm not collecting junks
