  1. I'm wondering if this theory would work to record my own in-game voice and if anyone has tried this out. What if I get a 2:1 USB adapter (2 female to 1 male) and plug in a USB microphone along with the capture card and have the adapter plugged into the computer? This would combine both streams into 1 correct? Like this: http://www.amazon.co.../ref=pd_sim_e_6 My main concern would be mic audio lining up with the capture audio and the power consumption of both USB powered devices running off the same power source. Thoughts?

Can I Record In Hd Without An Hd Tv?!

Hey everyone I was looking to get a Roxio Game Capture HD PRO, but when I looked into it a bit it seems that it requires an HD TV to record in HD. I have an older TV so I am not sure if I can. I thought a little bit and came up with an idea to get this HDMI to RCA compnent AV cable. I attached a picture of what it looks like so you may have a better idea of what I mean. I was thinking of putting the HDMI into the Roxio and putting the component (red, yellow, white) into my tv. Then of course I would put the rest of it together like it normally would be. I wasn't sure if this would work so I could record in HD. If not would I be able to crop it in 16:9 (or whatever the right size for a youtube video would be) Could anyone please let me know? That would be great! Thanks!
  4. Since installing VHS to DVD 3 on my laptop I have been experiencing frequent crashes during recording vhs tapes and during burning dvds. I have 4 GB of RAM and plenty of space available on my hard drive (almost 50%) and am frequently eliminating unwanted videos. Would appreciate any suggestions. JR

  6. I am very illiterate when it comes to computer programs so I'm not sure what I am doing wrong. I have a Dell laptop and I use Windows Vista Home Premium. I plugged everything in and it seemed to work fine. As soon as I start to play the VHS it is very choppy and distorted on my laptop but plays fine on my TV. It also makes everything run very slowly. For example when I try to minimize, exit, check or un-check boxes it freezes for several seconds before doing anything. How can I fix this?
