  1. While, my VHS tapes are aging, and not the best clarity, after transferring to a DVD, the tracking is way off, jumping off and on, making it actually useless to transfer. Any suggestions? Thank you!
  2. Good day I am transfering miniDV tapes from my camcorder to my PC. Video is fine but audio is choppy, it sounds OK 5 seconds and mutes 3, and so on I use Windows 10 in desktop computer Intel® Core i5 CPU 3.40 GHz 64 bit system Thanks in advance Joel H
  3. here it goes. I have been checking out the forum, but am not very savvy as to where or how to post a question. So I shall get right down to it. As I see others looking for help, here is my computer. I hope I have all the info: Dell laptop, windows 7 home premium 64 bit SP1, I7-2620M CPU @ 2.70 ghz 8 gig Ram Intel HD graphics, Nividia GE force 525m card running Roxio Creator NXT Pro I have used this program for a few years with no real issues, editing video from my child's soccer games, etc. All of a sudden, whenever I am in the program working on editing, the video becomes choppy and does not move in synch with the voices. It used to work so smoothly with no issues. Now, all I get is chop, and very slow rendering. It has become virtually impossible to work with as it is so "choppy." I read the forums and have done the following. Pretty extreme, but it is what I did. Ha ha the ex, who is a techie, refused to help me eve though it benefits his children, LOL a story for another forum! I reformatted the hard drive, wiped it clean. Wiped my hard drive so only about 20% of the 750 gigs is in use. Re installed the Roxio program. Updated my graphic card. (I figured it was so slow/choppy because my hard drive was filled up to 80%.) So I just wiped it clean. Guess what? The choppiness continued to exist. This was after a clean install after reformatting my hard drive. Is it time for anew program? I don't know what has caused this to occur. Could it be the files off my video camera? It never was an issue before) I use a JVC camera and the video clips end with this extension AVCHD or .mts, or is it they are AVCHD files ending in .mts. Thank you all in advance for your assistance and ideas Jilly
  4. I have been using Roxio Easy Media Creator 7.5 through Windows 2000 Professional and a Behringer U-Control UCA200. I have recorded live instruments, regularly, for a while now. I am able to mix 4 or 5 tracks at a time and sound pretty close to live. It is fantastic software. I just got the new Roxio Creator 2012 Pro and loaded it on my E-Machines ET1331G with Windows 7 Professional on it. I plugged my guitar right to my Behringer U-Control UCA200 (USB interface, also fantastic). Roxio records as WAV files and everything is clean, warm and crisp up until play back. The WAV file plays back with a consistent cycling clicking noise through out. If I add tone pedal gain to the signal, the noise is about as loud as the guitar. There is also a slight delay, in this set up (mostly default Windows 7) that I do not experience on the Roxio 7.5 set up. What can I do?

    Choppy Capture

I've had a lot of issues with my Roxio GameCapture HD pro. I don't think it's an issue with my laptop, but I can't say for sure. I've had issues in the past with the Videowave program having issues editing videos where it would it would just crash randomly after any edit. Now I'm having issues capturing any gameplay. Every time a cutscene appears the capture starts to stutter and glitch out. I'm assuming that this is a framerate issue, but I don't know what is causing it. My laptop specs are: Processor: Intel Core i7-3840QM CPU @2.80 GHz RAM: 32 GB System Type: 64-bit Memory: 900 GB + Seagate External Harddrive of 3 TB If anyone can give me some advice on how I can solve my capture problems, that'd be great.
  6. so I've had my Roxio for about a year now, and lets just say ive had my fairshare of problems with it, but none of them compare to this latest problem that just started happening. about a week ago I was recording for about 4+ hours long and when I opened the video file it repeatedly flickered grey and black. I went back to recording and everything was fine, and figured that Roxio either overheated or couldn't handle the massive 18.9 GB file. well now I was recording yesterday for about 45 minutes and the same problem was back, only now the video framerate was very choppy as well. I have since then reconnected every wire, restated my laptop, all to no avail. if I open any video file ive recorded by opening the main file in "My Computer" it shows the choppy flickering footage, and the same goes for opening it in sony vegas 12. BUT, if I open the file within the capture software, or using videowave, the file is completely normal and runs fine. Please, I'm at my wits end trying to figure this out. Please help.
  7. When i try to edit videos in videowave, the video is all choppy. It will skip seconds while im playing it (1:00 to 1:11, etc...) Is there a way to stop this or is it just my computer
  8. I've tried everything and it's actually starting to *^$$ me off. Support is awful. Disliking this product more and more.
  9. I am very illiterate when it comes to computer programs so I'm not sure what I am doing wrong. I have a Dell laptop and I use Windows Vista Home Premium. I plugged everything in and it seemed to work fine. As soon as I start to play the VHS it is very choppy and distorted on my laptop but plays fine on my TV. It also makes everything run very slowly. For example when I try to minimize, exit, check or un-check boxes it freezes for several seconds before doing anything. How can I fix this?
