Dvd Creation- Combo Slide Show & Short Vids

I am having problems getting a DVD to play on a TV DVD Player. I tried to do a combo Slide Show with Music and Short Vids, didn't work on my TV DVD Player. I then did a Slide Show with Music burn and it didn't work on my TV DVD Player. What steps do you take to successful burn a DVD that it will play on a TV DVD Player? So frustrated, Roxio never replied to my Technical Question Problem. Any help will be appreciated. -
What am I doing wrong? Created DVD in Toast 14 plays fine on MAC and PC, but not on DVD player.

Is there a way in Roxio to protect a DVD that I create form being copied?

I have created Quicktime Movies with Chapters in them and I would not only like the Chapter Location to import into Toast but also the name I have given each Chapter. For some reason Toast only gives me Chapters labeled as Chapter 0, Chapter 1, ETC and I'm not allowed to change them. If it recognizes the correct location of the Chapter Markers in the Quicktime then why can't it also import the Chapter names that I have embedded in the Movie File. Thanks

When trying to create a DVD, the program encodes all the related videos just fine. But when it gets to the "encoding menus" section, it hangs. I have a main menu and five sub-menus on the DVD I am trying to create. Is this too many menus, or is there a problem with the program? I tried re-installing the software with identical results. Help please.
