  1. I currently own Roxio Creator NXT Pro version 14 trying to use VideoWave. I was wondering for something that I haven't been able to figure out how to do it in this version I was wondering if this was possible in NXT Pro 4. And if so can you tell me how to do it so if I do decide on moving up to 4, I'll know how to do it. Or if you know how to do it on my current version of NXT Pro VideoWave, I would like to know that also. What I'm trying to do is that I film a group presentation using two video cameras. One camera is focused on the presenter and the other camera is focused on the projector screen. I've basically created two separate full length videos from these two cameras. What I would like to do in creating a final video is to have the presenter full screen at the beginning of the video, then when the projector screen becomes more important, I would basically like to shrink (fly) the main video down to the corner of the full screen (and trim/crop the video display so I can get just the presenter and eliminate unneeded parts of the display.) At the same time, bring in the projector screen to full size. If I can do the resizing of the initial screen with animation it would be great but not a deal breaker if not possible. So can anyone tell me how I can do this with either of the versions of NXT? I appreciate any help possible. Mike,
  2. I had Creator 10 Suite and could burn 25 minute video of simple vacations photo (still shots) with music. It would take an hour to build, but worked. Just upgraded PC to i7 intel chip, 2 terrabyte harddrive, 12GB RAM. Fast. Now upgraded to NXT Pro 3. Trying build a 15 minute video of just photos (test out new computer and XNT Pro 3). It takes 12 minuts to save (approx 200 still shot photos right now). I can't get it to build. And when just playing the storyline its really really slow. Does play realtime, but freezes for 9-12 seconds on each photo. Machine is brand new. Nothing installed except Windows 8 OS and Roxio. QUESTION: What is maximum number of photos should I except with this configutation? Is there a preferred photo resolution/size (most of my photos are 3.4mb, some smaller from iPhone)? JPEG the ideal format? Is there anythine else I can check to speed this up. As it stands, I can't build a simple video of still shots (i.e., no video). Also, set up as 16*9, no other changes, all default configuration. If this can't be resolved, can you recomend another software solution?
  3. 50% of the time I start Roxio NXT Pro Media Manager (either from short cut or from Roxio Central Tools) it crashes when switching devicee and folder. New installation. Simultaneous running Media Capture USB (never a problem under Creator 11 -- Version 11 USB 2681 device failed so I had to upgrade.) Am I just clicking on the sort by filename column too quickly? P.S. Is there a way to add Media Manage to the Roxio Central home page --> frequent tasks? ---JCN
  4. I see that I am not the only one having problems with the installation of NXT Pro 2 failing and rolling back. I have given up on the installation of NXT Pro 2 and requested a refund. That said, in the upgrade attempt, NXT Pro was uninstalled and now I cannot even reinstall NXT Pro from DVD without receiving the same interruption and rollback error. Technical support for this problem is non-existent and it took three attempts to obtain a refund. That said, I would still like to get my original NXT Pro reinstalled. I think I have read everything available on this site about the problem, have reinstalled Direct X and the DotNet Framework but still have not succeeded in solving the problem. I am attaching the log files in hopes there is some information there that will help identify the problem. I my be a computer professional, but every time if try to make sense of the log files, I suffer from information overload. Thanks in advance for your assistance.
  5. I have used Creator 2009 successfully for a long time. When I bought a new computer with Windows 7, it didn't function, so I bought Creator NXT PRO. When I add an .mpg video file in Videowave there is no audio, even though it plays perfectly well with audio in Windows Media Player. I have even tried .mpg video files that I have previously made in to DVDs successfully with Creator 2009 - but still no audio. Can anybody suggest why this might be happening and how I can resolve this issue?
  6. HELP!!! I have purchased my second copy of NXT Pro because the first copy dumped my factory installed Corel Win DVD BD player program and would not recognize BluRay discs when inserted in DVD BD drive. I have had to do eight, yes EIGHT, Factory Reinstalls to the out of box state and try to reload NXT Pro to no avail. When the install disc is inserted, it uninstalls my existing Corel Win DVD program and puts the NXT version on my computer which can't read BluRay. I have had to revert back to Creator 2011 Pro to keep from losing Blu-Ray playback capability as originally installed. Although there is a Corel BD plug-in, I don't feel I should have to purchase it as the Corel Win DVD BD program came installed from the factory. How can I install all the features of NXT Pro without losing the original Corel Win DVD? This is extremely frustrating, as I am now in the process of trying to recover lost files from all of the factory reinstall processes. I have a Toshiba P740, running Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit
