  1. Hello, I need help. So, I just got my dual monitors today and I'm so excited to start capturing. But I don't know what to do. I have one monitor connected to my GPU with and HDMI cable and the other monitor connected to the GPU with a VGA cable and DVI cable adapter connected to the GPU. I have no Idea what to do now. Do I plug it into my motherboard? I have an ASUS with DVI,VGA,Cables, andHDMI ports and an HP with VGA and DVI. My questions are: How do I record? How do I set it up? Specs in attached files. 2. Hello, So i have been trying to set up sounds so that my roxio game capture records it. So basically i have this setup. I have a Asus G750JS-T4064H Gaming Notebook (HDMI Wire Output from Capture Card) Acer G246HL Abd 24-Inch Screen LED-Lit Monitor (HDMI wire from monitor to capture card imput)Acer Aspire V5 Touch Notebook Turtle Beach Headset X12 Roxio Game Capture HD PRO Do note that my monitor does not have any speakers at the back. I am trying to record my Gaming notebook. However I have no idea how to set it up despite looking at the manual countless of times. Also, audio seems to not function even though i can record the screen. I want it so i can record it on my acer aspire v5 touch notebook, and able to play the game on my notebook. (with sound) Please help! Thank you.
  3. Hi - just purchased a Roxio GameCap HD Pro as an interface to transfer video from DV cassettes to my PC. I have attached the an AV male into the DV Camera's female AV jack - the other end of the cable has a typical yellow, white and red composite cable set which I attached to the Roxio GameCap. I then used the cable that came with the GameCap to attach to a USB port on my PC. While I was able to pick up a signal when I played the tape on my DV Camera the footage comes through as black and white on the PC and also seems to be of a lower quality (lack of colour aside). I ruled out an issue with the DV Camera or AV/Composite cables as when I use the same cables to view the video play from the DV Camera on my TV (plugging into the red/white/yellow females on the TV) there is no issue with lack of colour or video quality. Any thoughts of what may be causing this? Thanks in advance.
  4. Hi i have always wanted to record minecraft pc, but i never got a different software when i found out theres a way to record pc with my roxio. so i watched a few videos telling me how to do it and it seemed to work but for me it doesn't! For me it records for a couple of seconds the no signal! Is this cause i leave the capturing progamme to enter minecraft in full screen mode? I do that so the people don't see the roxio recording. the way i record the pc is plug in hdmi to tv from roxio and plug another hdmi cable from roxio to laptop showing my laptop screen on tv. Please help! i really want to record my pc
  5. I am getting a problem like I first encountered with my PS4. The screen is flickering or giving no signal at all as my Roxio Game Capture Pro on my PC. It did the same thing on my PS4. I disabled the PS4 HDCP and the capture is great. I am just wondering if there is a setting on my PC that is preventing me from capturing. It was easy on the PS4 to find HDCP, but I can't seem to find the problem on my PC. I can stream PS3 and PS4, I am just having trouble streaming PC. I would like to capture, Guild Wars 2 and Elder Scrolls Online on my PC. Any help with this would be much appreciated. I have an Intel hd 4200 graphics card, it's 4000 series anyways. I have a Samsung series 5 Ultra laptop is the PC. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.
  6. Hello everyone, I've had my Capture Cars for quite some time, and had no problems with it at all. I've created numerous with it, and had plenty of fun recording gameplay. However, I went to record something today, and hit a problem. It occurs everytime I get to this: I click on "Capture", and the load icon flashes quickly before disappearing and nothing happening. I've read that updating your PC helps, but my PC doesn't want to install all the latest updates it has either! So, I'm really not sure what's going on. Any help would be great. I not all to great with computers, so as simple as possible would be great. Thank you all in advance!
  7. Roughly 2 years ago, I got a Roxio HD Pro to use with my 360. Shortly after that, I got an HDTV so I could record in HD. All was going well, and I eventually moved on to recording my PC with the Roxio (connecting my laptop to the input and the TV to the output). This worked perfectly, but I did stop doing this for quite awhile. Fast forward to now, and I've decided to try recording some PC gameplay once again. I perform the same setup (with the same TV, laptop, Roxio, and cables as before), only to be met with this on my TV screen: "This TV does not support the output format, video resolution, and/or refresh rate being sent by the connected device." This perplexes me, because I can connect the TV straight to my laptop and it will display just fine. It's only when I'm trying to feed through the Roxio that I get this issue. Could it be due to an update that the Roxio has received? I haven't used it to try to record PC footage in over a year and a half, so I may have very well not seen some of these updates come to pass.
  8. Quick Map: Computer -> HDMI Output on Graphics Card -> HDMI Cord -> Capture Card Input -> Roxio GameCap HD Pro -> Capture Card Output -> HDMI Cord -> HDMI to DVI-D Adapter -> DVI-D Port -> Monitor Problem: I do the connection path above and my monitor screen has no DVI signal. It is black.
  9. I just installed my Roxio HD Pro to my computer abd have my input HDMI cable on my computer, and output HDMI cable on my T.V., the circle on the hardware lights up purple and the HDMI notch is also lit up purple. My desktop is showing up on my Tv screen but when I click on the PC Capture button on my software, nothing happens. All of the other buttons work such as Console Capture, and Edit & Share. I also notice that my TV isn't showing the whole screen, it cuts off the edges, and only records things i drag off the edge of the screen (To the right). If i could get someone like a Guru to answer those problem it would be great. Thanks

  11. Hi, my name is Austin, and I am a recent purchaser of your Game capture HD Pro.I was very excited to receive this, and upon purchase, I proceeded to attempt to record my pc gameplay. For my setup, I have one HDMI cable coming from the video output of the computer and into the input of the capture device. I have another cable running from the capture card's output into an HDMI-DVI converter, which is plugged into my monitor. I have my FireWire usb cable running from the capture card into the same PC that I have my HDMI's plugged into. When I open the Roxio capture program, I see my desktop background, but nothing more. No icons, shortcuts, mouse pointer, or anything. I attempted to run a game, play it for awhile, and then watch the recording, but the recording was nothing but my desktop background. No sound from the game either. I know the product is not defective. It worked on my Wii and ps3. Can you help me identify the problem?

So ive had the Roxio HD pro for while ,and I already know how bad it is with its many problems, however iv been able to fix everything on my own and get it working for consoles, i recently built a pc and wanted to game on one computer with one monitor and record it on another computer with another monitor, so this is how i have it set up.......hdmi #1 plugged into Gaming pc's graphics card going to Roxio hdmi Input, hdmi #2 going from Roxio hdmi output to Gaming Monitor HDMI slot, REGULAR computer has Roxio device plugged in with software and drivers (updated) ......now when attempting to capture...REGULAR pc with regular monitor boots fine , GAMING pc doesn't have any display just a blue screen, when opening roxio software display is still blue....i tried the usual powerful uninstall of the software and drivers, and the usual install with antivirus disabled, but ive been using the product since release and im pretty sure i know what im doing that side. however i cant seem to get the pc capture working iv attached a diagram of the setup .

    Recording Pc

Hello, I was wondering if there was a way for me to record my pc with my roxio game capture hd and have it send the video to an ipad so that i dont need two computers.
  15. Hey, So I play ps3 and I've had my roxio game capture hd pro and been using hdmi as an output and component as an input but on a tv but lately I decided to buy a Asus VN247HP which is 23" and I was wondering can I still use hdmi as an output if I plug hdmi directly into the monitor from my roxio game capture hd pro? Please reply asap as I wanna get a monitor this weekend at a computer market
  16. My Roxio works wonderfully for my Xbox 360 and One on the same monitor. I use my laptop to record sessions. When I plug in my tower PC through the HDMI the picture on my monitor is shrunk. I tried changing resolution through my tower which it doesn't work and tried screen size from my monitor which is already full and shows full screen when I don't have the Roxio plugged in. Any Suggestions?
  17. Hi, Fairly new to game capturing but is there a way for me to capture my voice along with anyone i maybe playing with on my xbox 360 (in a party)? My current setup involves me using Audacity along with my webcam mic to pick up my audio and using the Roxio to pick up any party chat as I have the output for that set to speakers & headset on the preferences menu tab on the xbox itself. This seem fine but the webcam microphone is picking up the audio from the tv that the game is playing on so when it comes to editing the footage along with adding in the audacity file with my voice , im getting like a double audio for the party chat. is there a simpler way to record gameplay along with my voice and my friends without the need of using other software and mic.
  18. Hi there- Is the hardware for the Roxio Easy VHS to DVD the same for both PC and Mac? Would the difference between the two be in the software only? Could I buy the PC version and download the Mac software and have it work? I am trying to buy a used version of this and the PC version is cheaper and more readily available. If anyone here knows the answer, please let me know. Thank you!
  19. Lately i've received a Blue Yeti USB microphone. The problem that i am having is that when i have the microphone plugged into my PC, no game audio is captured whatsoever. I am only playing Minecraft, Starbound, etc. and i can record my voice audio perfectly, but no game audio. Thanks if you can help
  20. Hi, a few months ago I had bought a Roxio Game Capture and in the beggining it worked well but a few weeks ago I started recording again and my tv simple goes black when I plugged in the Roxio Device to my computer....My TV just stays black while I am recording and my computer records it but in a strange way (You see the imagem but in lines).... Is it possible to post here video so you can see what happens? If so tell me how... Thanks.
  21. Hi there, I'm new to the forums, but I have had my Roxio GameCap HD Pro since last Christmas. I've recorded plenty of videos from my Xbox console, and have had zero audio problems with the captured footage. However, I've begun recording footage from my PC games, and have noticed that there is no, what I like to call "internal sound" coming from the footage. All you can hear is the speakers playing into my external microphone. Is there a way to record the internal PC sound from the Roxio? Thanks for input. Also, another issue I'd like to ask for advice on, without starting a new thread, is the capture quality of my PC. When I record from my Xbox, I can get crystal clear 1080p video, but when I record my PC the video resolution is a lot sloppier. It seems as though it records in closer to 480p. Thanks again! Dave
  22. Ok, so lately I have been researching and how the Roxio Game Capture HD Pro doesn't come with the option to produce live commentaries. Although i can see this is somewhat true, there seems to be another way. You see, KYR SP33DY (YouTuber) has a Roxio HD Pro, yet seems to produce videos including him talking *IN GAME* making a conversation with his other friends. So not only does this record his friends voice, but his own *without using a voice-over*. I also saw him with a Sno-Ball microphone and was wondering: "If i were to use a USB microphone, like Sno-Ball, is there a possibility i can record my voice, but also have it so my friends can hear me and make conversation, all recorded?" A famous YouTuber has done it with only one more thing than me: the USB mic Sno-Ball, and that might be my only necessity. Anyone can give me some info on how either he did it, i can do it, or any other ways for it to be done, it will be much appreciated. (( KYR SP33DY'S setup video: ))
  23. I know there is a separate pc capture card from Roxio but I have the Roxio HD Pro as I mainly use for Xbox capture. I did however start to try capturing PC gameplay on my laptop. The capture is fine however I cannot hear the real time audio myself. I have my laptop hdmi into roxio then roxio connected to PC via usb cable. I tried using the audio out phono's to headphones but stil not gameplay sound whilst I play, but it does capture it on the recording. Can anyone advise if it is possible to keep my perfect recording setup but also allow me to hear the audio as I play.
  24. How do I get movies music and games? I know i can burn them from cds and dvds, but whats a good site to get them from?
  25. Hi all, I have been using the HD Pro for some time now and I have recently made the well needed leap from console to PC I have my Roxio all set up and working with the PC but resolution size is pretty small on the capture software compared to my Xbox footage, i have tried every resolution my monitor is capable of but only seem to get about 70% of the size of my xbox footage. Any suggestion would be awesome.
