    RGC Pro HD to OBS with Nintendo switch

    So i bought the roxio for streaming, but when i first got it everything worked fine until at a certain point the resolutions wasn't good anymore and after time it wasn't showing up anymore on my OBS. So i wonder, is it my converter (HDMI to DVI) or is it the roxio? If you have answer for me it would be helpfull. Thanks again LinkleCrafty
  2. It is with a heavy heart that I have to reach out to the Roxio user community for a last-ditch effort at resolving an issue that, unfortunately, I think I already know the answer to. I know the members here are fans of informative question posts, so I will explain my setup and situation as best as I am able. My intention was to record and stream gameplay from my Nintendo Gamecube. I have an old 64 bit PC with a fresh install of Windows XP. This PC works beautifully, no hiccups and plenty of CPU power and RAM to run the Roxio software. I installed the Roxio software and all of its updates properly. Once that was done, and I mean ONLY after it was done, I plugged in my Roxio device and everything worked properly. I am able to capture my Gamecube! Woo! Following directions from this forum works! A bit of an aside, in case you were wondering, I am connecting the Gamecube to the Roxio via HDMI using a HD converter device for the GC known as the "Carby". It takes the digital out port intended for the (extremely expensive and rare) component cables and converts it to a 480p60 HDMI signal, complete with a female HDMI port. I plug an HDMI cable from the Carby into the Roxio, another HDMI cable from the Roxio output to my monitor, and the USB is connected of course to my PC. So, with the above setup, everything was working beautifully! (except for a weird error with authorizing my twitch account for streaming, but that's for another thread). I was able to record some hours of my gameplay successfully at 480p60. However, I noticed that my "monitoring" output was a bit blurry. Well, not blurry, but more like a very subtle "VHS" kind of distortion. I figured this is just some signal loss that is occurring during the pass-through of the HDMI signal. Nothing devastating, but since I had everything working I figured "I better try to fine-tune this to get it perfect". So I came back here to the forums searching for anyone else with this blur problem, and I found the following thread: This user, in case you don't feel like clicking, claimed that he fixed his blurry tv output issue by simply switching the input and output HDMI cables around. Nobody stepped in to tell him he was wrong or insane, so I figured I would give it a shot. Well, unfortunately from that point forward, I never got an HDMI signal from my gamecube->roxio again. This is where it got fun. I have repaired and also reinstalled Roxio. I used Revo uninstaller to clear out any traces. No go. Reinstalled windows XP and all of its updates. No go. Tried reinstalling Roxio again, nope. It's worth mentioning that I also get no signal through my monitor. If I turn on the gamecube I have blackness. I have tested both cables directly from my Cube to the TV, and they both work perfectly (They are brand new high end cables) Just when attempting to pass the HDMI signal through the Roxio to the TV OR the PC, both do not work. Also, no audio. Keep that noted. I am getting a red "No Signal" status, and something strange occurs in my preview window: When my Cube is powered off, I usually get a blue screen in my preview window. Ever since the "HDMI switch trick", it instead displays just the left 1/3rd of the blue screen with a black horizontal stripe in the middle. So, a broken image. When I power on the Cube, the preview window turns black. Every once in a while, there are little multicolored static pixels that pop in here and there, scarcely. The pixels popping in and out seems to correlate with what is happening in the game (i.e. me shuffling through the game menus blindly with my controller while monitoring through the Software). So, as the red "No Signal" message implies, there IS a signal, but something is gravely wrong. Oh yeah, if I switch to "Component" in the software, the broken blue preview becomes a perfect rectangle like it used to on HDMI before I did that stupid, stupid trick. This got me to thinking...does component still work? For the final test, I tried to plug my COMPOSITE cable's audio plugs into the red/white component audio inputs, just to see if the audio signal would come through. Sure enough, I got audio. Unfortunately I dont have any true component cables or devices to test the component video signal on, but I can pretty much confirm that JUST the HDMI is broken. I have tried with multiple devices, dvd players, raspberry pi's..no signal. To reiterate: -My x64 WinXP PC is capable of running the software and hardware -I had it working beautifully via the HDMI, despite some blurriness -In an attempt to fix the blur, I followed a thread here to try to fix it -My HDMI stopped working completely when passing through the Roxio -After all uninstalls, XP reinstalls, Roxio Reinstall, the result is the same: -Broken blue screen on preview, black screen when the Cube is powered on, no sound, red "No Signal" status -Component mode has a normal looking blue standby screen, and audio passes through properly. I am hoping beyond hope that it might be possible to fix. I noticed in this thread (even though his problem might be a bit different), a fellow posted a screenshot of his preview window, and it is behaving exactly like mine: Take a look at that screenshot he provided, my preview window does EXACTLY the same thing! A weird broken blue box, and the red "No signal" status. This is when I have the Gamecube off. When I power it on, this goes black. Powering off the cube gives this broken blue screen again. Component mode shows an unbroken blue rectangle like it should, and signal passes through fine. Did I ruin my Roxio by switching the HDMI cables around? Is that possible? Did I really just irresponsibly take some totally horrible advice from the support forums and screw myself over after days and days of configuration? Or did I, despite my hours of digging through these forums, miss the answer to this? I anxiously await your replies. Thank you for taking the time to read this thread.
  3. Hello everyone, After i read nearly every Post about Install Interruptions with the Roxio HD PRO Software, I am still clueless what to do. I already did everything mentioned in other Posts, thats why i start a new one in the hope someone already solved this Problem. I will also submit my Log Files as a ZIP if possible. What I have done so far: Downloaded it to the desktop (save file) then run it from the desktop! Install it without checking for updates install it and let it check for updates at the beginning. Create a New User Account with Administrator Privileges. Downloaded Servicepack 2 and tried to install it. My System is an MSI ge60 i7 3630Qm GTX660M 2Gb 16Gb Ram I mainly want the Roxio to capture the Signal from a PC and use the Laptop for streaming. If someone has an Idea i would be super happy, if something is missing just ask me i will try to provide you with more informations!     Captures Then Stops

    Okay, so heres my problem. Ill start recording and then after like one second, the preview screen will flash a purpleish color then go black. After It will return to normal, but it has stopped recording. By stopped recording I mean It will let me press the "stop recording" button, but the time elapsed stays at 0 and the file size stays at 0. Now if the capture is continuing then how can this be? If I am able to press "stop recording" then how does the file size and time elapsed stay at 0? Also note that after the preview screen flashes the purpleish color then goes to black, there is a file that pops up at the bottom of the screen where a file would normally be after recording. But.... It is only like 1 sec long. The exact time it takes from once I start recording, to the time the preview screen flashes. Also note that this problem just started happening. Please HELP MEEEEE
  5. Okay so basically just got my Roxio super excited I set everything up and went to capture then to stream. And something popped up like a message saying that Roxio program has seemed to stop working or whatever and it tells me to close program. It keeps doing this every time I press stream and login to my twitch... Please someone help thank you!
  6. So as the title suggests, I am trying to set up a capture from a gaming console to my PC. I can get the image to show in OBS on the PC (albeit without sound, though that's another issue for another time) but not on my monitor. The specifics of how I have this set up are listed below: Console: Nintendo Switch -> Roxio HD Pro - > Laptop & Monitor (Acer G205H) The cable being used from Roxio to the monitor is an HDMI - DVI cable. The monitor should have HDCP support (This link claims it does: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/720993-REG/Acer_ET_DG5HP_001_G205H_Special_Edition_20.html). If going directly from the Switch to the monitor, the video shows perfectly fine. From Roxio to the monitor, however, the screen is generally black. I say "generally" because a couple of times it flashed an "Input not Supported" message before turning black. From what research into this message I've done as it relates to Capture Cards, it seems that this is due to a resolution issue. I've changed the native resolution of the Switch to test all three of its options (1080p, 720p, and 480p) yet none of them worked, and considering that going directly from the Switch to the monitor works, I do not believe that this is a resolution issue (though I could be wrong). Not sure what the cause is here, so I would really appreciate some guidance/help before going out to buy different wires or HDMI Splitters or w/e else comes to mind to test this and end up just wasting money.   7. After installing the software onto my new PC the option to render my exporting files in AVCHD 1920x1080/60p option is missing and the list of codecs overall is much smaller. I downloaded SP2 and tried several things but the list is the same. What do I need to get this option back?
  8. Hello community, I have had the ROXIO GameCapture HD Pro for around 2 1/2 months. It was working great and I was capturing some pretty cool footage. However, when I finally started it up after not using it for a long time, it tells me "Select video device failed." when I start up the Capture software. I have all the correct cords plugged into the correct places in the TV and my PS3, and I have plugged in the USB cord into the ROXIO GameCap and the USB Drive on my computer. I am out of possible thoughts as to what could be causing the problem, and I would really like some help so that I can get my YT Channel going! If it's okay, here's a video I posted demonstrating the problem (somewhat): Does anyone have any thoughts on the origin of this problem?

    Mystery New Mac Application

    A few days ago, MacUpdate presented a half-price offer of a new Roxio product: Toast Express. I have used Toast Titanium 9 for many years, but since I have upgraded my Mac's operating system to Sierra I was interested in this Toast Express. I tried asking Roxio/Corel, but the advisor who answered my enquiry had never heard of Toast Express. That made me suspicious, of course, and I contacted MacUpdate, who got me some details and confirmed that Toast Express is a bona fide Roxio product. Since the price was so tempting, I took a chance on it and purchased and installed it. But I would still like some details: what are its limitations compared with the latest Toast Titanium? How does the quality of CDs burnt with Toast Express compare with those burnt by means of Toast Titanium? Etc. I have had to post in the General Chat forum because there is nothing for Toast Express. Likewise it seems almost impossible to find a way of asking for information on the Corel website. I should be very grateful for some information.
  12. Back in 2005, I backed up a photo archive onto multiple spanned DVDs using the then current PPC version of Toast. I now need to restore that archive on my Intel iMac running el Capitan. Obviously, the Roxio Restore on the DVDs is no good and I don't use Toast anymore. Is there anything I can do? Gareth
  13. I've had my Roxio Game Capture HD Pro now for over 2 years and have had no issues. I recently got a new laptop & tried installing the software from my CD & Key. Everything seems to run smoothly with the installation until it's just about to finish, then I get this message. I have no idea how to fix this issue. I've tried re-installing the software from CD AND from the Game Capture HD Pro Service Pack 2.0 link on the Roxio website and restarting my computer several times and still have had no luck. Any way I can fix this?
  14. Hey all, I am having some issues with my Roxio Sound Editor because any time that I finish a project and export it, it never exports correctly. The resulting file sounds like the clips have moved by a second or so after editing and so jumps, skips and sounds awfully edited. I always check before I export and it sounds nothing like the preview. Any ideas what I could be doing wrong? It is driving me insane!!
  15. Hello. Whenever I click the livestream button in the Roxio Application it asks me to login to my Twitch.tv account. After clicking "log in" it says that something went wrong or something like that then closes the program. Help?

    Weird Capturing Glitch?

    Last Night I got new Component cables for my Playstation 2, this was so that the Roxio HD would capture it in color. However when I started capturing, my TV screen was doing something weird, however the capture on my PC was perfectly fine. After this, I plugged the component cables directly into the television and it worked fine. I would really like to solve this problem as soon as possible. Thanks for the help if you offer any advice.   17. So, my Roxio won't let me sign into my YouTube channel so I'm not able to upload any of my videos to my channel, well at least not the easy way. It says I have the wrong username or/and password, but I know 100% for certain that I have the correct ones (both) I know other people have had this problem in the past, but I have yet to find or see any solution to this issue, other than deleting your YouTube account/channel and for me that is obviously NOT an option. Can someone please help on this matter please, I'm tired of having to burn the video for several hours just to start uploading it via YouTube's own page. It would be much simpler to just upload directly from Roxio that was in the description of the product when I bought it, but as it is now it is a faulty system.

    Roxio - No Signal + Black Screen On Xbox One

    So I wanted to record Xbox one gameplay, and once I got my roxio game capture hd pro, I plugged in the hdmi from the xbox one to the roxio, plugged in the usb power cable, and also the hdmi out to my tv but it does not show up. I tried using different hdmi cables and it still wont work. When i just use one hdmi from the xbox one to the tv it works fine, but when i plug it back to the roxio, it won't show up again. I don't really understand this tech stuff so please reply in easy english for me to understand

    Degraded Quality

    Ok so I have a Roxio HD Pro and I use it with my PS4 to record and live stream. I put my HDMI from my PS4, to my Roxio, then HDMI from Roxio, to my monitor. My problem is that the quality is not good compared to just HDMI from PS4 to monitor. I go to my video settings on PS4 and choose 1080p, but next to it it says "1080p(Unsupported)" It says that for every video option. On my PC, I go to the Roxio application and make it 1080p with the bitrate at 15000 and .mp4 format My PC specs are the following : i5 6600k @ 4.4GHZ 16GB DDR4 2800MHZ GTX 770 Samsung 850 PRO 256GB SSD 1TB Seagate HDD If someone could help me out with this issue, it would be much appreciated! Equipment i got; Kinect Xbox One Elite Controller Turtle Beach x500 Stealth Laptop Audio splitter cable 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable 2.5mm to 3.5mm cable (for the turtle beach) Xbox One (Obliviously) Roxio Game Capture PRO The headset is wireless, when i use my headset with the splitter, the xbox doesn't recognize the microphone part of the headset.
