  1. Hello folks , I want to capture footage from older pc games. For this reason I've hooked up my Game Capture HD Pro to an separate PC. The desktop resolution is 1280x1024 60hz. I've tried two variants. 1. Via an DVI to HDMI adapter: The image in the preview window is shown to be zoomed in, so only a small area is visible. 2. Via an VGA to HDMI converter (1:1, no scaling): The image seems to have the correct size, but is split in the middle, like it has problems with the vertical synchronisation. I don't know if this is a problem with the converter, but the datasheets says, that it support the given resolution. Do you have any ideas how I can solve this problem? PS: Which input resolutions does the Game Capture HD Pro actually support? Many thanks in advance!

Dvi-D To Hdmi Would It Work?

Ok hello I have a question about my setup i use a roxio game capture hd pro with my ps3 (using component cables) and i perfer to play on my led moniter as it uses less electricity as a tv and there is lower response time but it doesnt have hdmi anyway of cause i cant use a adapter like this http://www.ebay.com....V-/181010959825 because it has hdcp block on it so i was wondering if this would work http://www.ebay.com/...D-/360831891360 im not really sure about any of this as i just got it 2 weeks ago if you dont understand ill try to explain it in more detail later on. if not do you guys think a female component to vga converter would work like this http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Connect-Component-Notebook-VGA-PC-to-TV-RCA-Video-AV-Audio-Adapter-4-DELL-LI-/170927275239?pt=AU_Components&hash=item27cc0f3ce7&_uhb=1 Edit: I have attached a photo of my ports on my moniter and the moniter itself
  5. Hi, I bought my Roxio Game Capture HD off Amazon.co.uk. It arrived two days ago, I plugged it in using the HDMI cable and hoped that I could make a gameplay and upload it to my YouTube channel. Then I realised that Xbox 360s don't support two outputs at the same time. (I'm using a monitor as my TV using the Xbox to VGA cable) so I went and bought a HDMI to DVI to come out of the Game Cap to plug into my DVI socket on my monitor. I can see and hear the Xbox screen in the Game Capture software (with some delay) but as soon as I go to the DVI input on the monitor I just get a blank screen, It is picking up a signal because it isn't saying 'No Signal'. I just get a black screen. I have tested the cable by using my HDMI output from my computer, and plugging it into my monitor. It is just the Game Capture going to the monitor that it doesn't like. This is the screen on my computer: Thanks again, Ben.
  6. Hi everybody, I´m thinking to buy this capture device (Roxio Game Capture HD) but I would like to now if it´s ok for me. The thing is that I need capture Video Source from a PC and I´m not really sure if this capture device is going to work. I want to take the VGA (RGB) Output of my PC, put it into a VGA to HDMI Video Converter, and use the capture with a laptop to capture that video source. The thing is that I have some doubts: - Color Space will be a problem? ...I mean, this capture can automatically capture any color space (YCbCr 4:4:4, YCbCr 4:2:2, RGB 4:4:4)? - Input resolution will be a problem? ...I have to select the input resolution in the capture software? - HDCP in HDMI Port? Thanks a lot! Best Regards.
  7. Well. I may have been posting here for a while regarding many issues. I finally got my Roxio to capture video with DVI, the only problem I am having now is that I am getting no audio on the roxio software. I am not sure what the issue is, and when I go to device manager. I only see one option, I don't see the audio for it. This never worked before I got the video to work and I never really noticed it because I was trying to get the video to work. My setup is HDMI to DVI to the splitter from roxio, then HDMI cables from roxio to the splitter and the splitter is plugged into my Xbox 360 console. Then the usb from roxio to my laptop, I tried repairing... uninstalling and reinstalling on with my program. I tried checking to see if my audio was muted, but it's not even there! I have been posting many issues on here for almost a month now, and this is my only problem now. It won't record audio or playback audio. I can hear audio on my other monitor, but not on the roxio software. I tried everything, I even tried plugging in the red and white cables from my xbox to my roxio. Nothing worked! Please help, I would appreciate if anyone would have any ideas on what to do. I spent a lot of money on this and been trying to be patient :/ I'm all clueless on what to do now... thanks, any post replies would be appreciated ... btw, I spent hours on trying to get this to work. I've been wasting my time this whole week.
  8. Ok, so basically I just got this product which I have tested and it works great (although still need to improve quality settings). So I wanted to ultimately stream the game play footage IN REAL TIME to my iPad. After research, to do this I released I needed an app to view the laptop screen in real time (which after testing works well) So all I need now is a way of streaming the xbox game play footage to my laptop in real time (ie. without the 2 second delay as with the software). I have seen this being done with the roxio here: (however have not quite found out how he does it yet (claims to use a webcam like recorder called AMCap but couldn't get it to work after testing) My laptop supports USB, VGA, (and another laptop HDMI out (to duplicate laptop screen) but not mine so not ideal for long-term) . My local tech shop where I got the capture card said this would solve the problem: http://www.maplin.co.uk/pc-to-tv-box-223833 but not convinced I need another piece of hardware! Also this might be relevant (in FAQ section): Can I use Roxio Game Capture HD PRO to play live games on my computer display? Yes as long as your computer display can take HDMI or Component input. Instead of connecting a TV, you can connect your computer display as an output with Roxio Game Capture HD PRO device so the video can be passed through in real time to your computer display. You still need to connect the capture device via USB with a laptop/PC for recording though. The preview in the Capture software has about 2 second delay as it is required for the hardware to process the video. Please could anyone help!
  9. Hey guys. I recently purchased a Roxio Game Capture HD Pro. The question is, how would you be able to set this up with a VGA monitor? It's a Viewsonic, that's the name of the VGA monitor. I really don't want to spend a lot of money to try to make this work. Do you think this would work? I just don't have the USB on my VGA. Btw, if I posted this on the wrong section. Then sorry. I'm new here, please. If anybody has any solutions, let me know. Thanks. http://www.bestbuy.c...o dvi&cp=1&lp=8
