    My church is wanting an easy way to make a DVD from a video/audio feed. The video comes from a Sony D90PTZ camera and uses an Svideo out (could use regular VGA out as well). The audio comes via a L/R RCA cord from our main soundboard at the moment but would prefer other options. Tried a Startech USBSVID2USB3 but have issues with Windows 8 sound lag and huge file sizes. Have used Roxio in the past and like them. What current product(s), both hardware and software, would work in my windows 8 environment?

    When I open the capture software, after a few minutes (not actually recording anything, just before I click the capture button) my computer suddenly gets a blue screen of death. It has happened three times today, with all three times the software was open. In the first BSOD, I got an error code that read "APC_INDEX_MISMATCH" and the second and third times it said Kernel Security Check Failure. It was working perfectly yesterday. I managed to record several gameplays in full HD with absolutely no lag, so I don't understand why this is happening now. I even updated my Windows and ran a virus scan (nothing detected). I'm using an Inspiron 15-5547 running Windows 8.1.

    I bought Roxio Creator in 2009 and loved it, but now, have a new computer w/Windows 8_OS. I'd like to install my Creator 2009 onto this computer and upgrade to the 2014 version. Is it possible to install and update, with my current system, or do I need to purchase and install a new Roxio Creator 2014? THANK YOU!

    Hello, I have a Roxio GameCap HD Pro that I got for Christmas. I understand that many people were having a problem using the software on Windows 8 but so far to my knowledge I under stand that the Windows 8 problems were fixed and I was using the product with great results and no problems at first. I am using an Xbox 360, I am setup using HDMI cables, and I have a Gateway Laptop running Windows 8. This is not the problem since it was working with this setup. My problem is a blank, purple preview window using the recording software. Like I said above the software was working and has now stopped. I can record videos still but I have no preview so I don't know if everything is the way I want it or if I need to adjust anything like the quality or the brightness. I still hear game sound coming from the software just no video preview. When this problem first occurred I noticed that my input changed from HDMI to component and when I set it back to HDMI it was working until I pressed Start Capture. After that it kept happening so I changed the input from HDMI to component and back to HDMI and that worked for a little while but now that doesn't even work. I tried uninstalling and re-installing the software but that did nothing. Does anyone have a solution? If anyone needs any other information that I did not already provide please say so and I will fill you in on the missing details.

    I managed to install easy vhs to dvd onto my laptop, and it has windows 8, but won't load past the first box that shows up displaying "easy vhs to dvd" will it even work on windows 8? and how do i fix this problem? thanks

    Roxio Game Cap Hd Pro Will Only Record In 480P

    I have the Roxio Game Cap HD Pro and I've been trying to record footage from my Xbox 360, however, it won't accept any input above 480p, meaning on my xbox 360, I have to manually change the settings to 480p. My xbox 360 is hooked up via Component Cables and the output to the TV works with either HDMI or Component (both 1080p capable). However, on the computer, the capture software just won't accept anything above 480p and will just say no input or simply crash.

    I recently installed Roxio 12 on a new computer running Windows 8. It was previously installed on Windows 7 and worked fine. In making a DVD, when I insert a movie, there is no sound.

    When clicking the the desktop shortcut to start Roxio Media Creator NXT2 Pro on a Windows 8 pc, the application starts to load and displays the splash screen, that lists all the modules that are loading. As soon as it gets to "Loading Roxio Media Creator NXT2 Pro", windows displays "Roxio Creaor has stopped working...." I have tried the following: 1) repair the installation 2) run as administrator 3) compatibility mode - windows 7 the program just crashed on load and there is no way to use roxio. Jan

    i have had my roxio for about a year or two and i've been using it on my laptop perfectly fine and now im trying to use it for my windows 8 desktop and it reboots my computer when ever i start it and it says there is a problem. some times on a good day it will run fine but it will say there is a script error and i have tried updating it and it still does the same thing. also while having the capture card inserted in my usb and after 20 mins my computer had a problem and rebooted and it did it again when it came back and it is frustrating that it doesn't want to work for me when it works for a lot of other people. some one please help. if i don't get any help i'm probably just going to try a different capture card that i know will work for my computer.

    Please help. I have been trying to install VHS to DVD 3 Plus on my brand new HP Pavillion g6 it has more than enough processing power and HD space. After initial agreement is marked "agreed" the setup begins by making the active controls, this is is where it fails and gives me my error. Is is a firewall issue? I have turn the firewall off and even allowed the install program to pass through.

    Hi, I hope someone can help me with this, I've had enough of Windows 8 and Microsoft doesn't have any information. Photosuite 4 business edition worked fine on Win Professional XP and Win 7, I received a new HP Pavillion desktop with Win8/Office 10 loaded on. I installed Photosuite twice, both times upon opening, the screen is white/blank with only the file open toolbar visible. When I try to open a picture file, nothing happens (no activity at all). I can't afford to replace any more software and I need this application. Any suggestions? Thanks alot! Cin

    Hello, I made a slideshow on Windows Movie Maker and finalized it as a .mp4 file. I was looking to burn the movie onto a blank DVD so we could watch it on the TV so I purchased the Roxio Easy CD and DVD Burning Program. However, when I click 'add new movie' on myDVD express and try to add the already finalized .mp4, I am met with an error window stating "The file you are trying to use cannot be edited, and has not been added" sooo frustrating! Can anyone help me out???

    I got the Roxio Game Capture less than a year ago, when I was using a windows xp laptop. It worked fine for a crappy computer. I recently got a Windows 8 Laptop and I Threw out the old one. I then installed the software from the disk, but now when I plug in the roxio into the usb for my laptop and open the software to capture gameplay... It says "Select Video Device Failed". Help!

    I have a Game Capture HD Pro installation DVD which I purchased this past Christmas 2012. I am considering getting a new laptop which will likely come with Window 8. I am wondering if I will be able to install on Windows 8 with the DVD that I have. I reviewed the information on the Roxio web site but it was not clear to me. Can anyone tell me if I will be able to run Game Capture Pro on Windows 8 without having to pay any additional upgrade costs? Thanks!

    Lately I've been having a problem with Roxio. I use OBS (Open brodcaster) and when I try to use screen region to capture the Roxio preview screen, I get a purple screen where the preview screen is. I have windows 8 so I cant disable aero theme like other solutions said. I also have AMD graphics card so I cant do the Nividia solution. I used to be able to capture it this way, but my windows 8 updated and now it does the purple screen. Can someone please help.

    I'm trying to use Video Wave to create a "movie." When I play my mpeg on my computer the sound and video work fine. When I import the video into video wave there is no sound. I've had so many problems since I've upgraded my computer to Windows 8 and bought this new NXT Roxio software. I liked the old Creator software that I had with Windows 7. Does anyone know how to get sound? I will tell you that when I import multiple video segments to Video Wave that sometimes only the first video clip wont have sound but the other clips do and sometimes none of them have sound. Thanks
