  1. Trying to open BackOnTrack in NTNX 4 I get an error message BackOnTrack service cannot run. May be BackOnTrack is not installed properly. If I did this I don't know how. In any event how to fix so that I can backup to a usb hd. Thanks in advance.
  2. Every time I open BoT, I received this error "BackOnTrack Service cannot run. May be BackOnTrack is not installed properly." Already tried repairing, uninstall, re-install... Still no luck... By the way, I have Easy CD & DVD Burning, Creator 2012 Pro and Creator NXT Pro installed which I believe to have all BackOnTrack applications in each and every one of them (pardon my grammar^^ English is not my native tongue...). The only BoT working is on Easy CD & DVD. I was wondering if BoT is not compatible with one another.
  3. I just purchased Creator NXT Pro 2 and it said in its comparison that it can "Back up your entire hard disk including the operating system, files, settings and programs". From looking at one discussion topic on the message "This version of BackOnTrack lets you restore.... - My Data. However it will not let you restore your entire computer, disk or partition." So will the software backup my system for restore or not? If not isn't this false advertising?
  4. Hi friends, I was using Roxio Creator 2011 BackOnTrack software to backup all my data in the hard drive to upgrade the Operating System. Now I cannot restore the backup as it halts at 16% and showing an error " Cannot read backup". Copied the entire Roxio backup to another hard disk and tried, still no luck. The operating system originally installed on my laptop was Windows Vista (32 bit). So I have taken the complete back from it. Now I'm using Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit OS. I installed Roxio Creator 2011 on another computer (Windows 7 32bit) and started to recover files, getting the same error "Cannot read backup" in 23%. I tried to restore the Roxio backup from another software (Eg- Acronis), it couldn't even recognize the backup. I can access the backup folder, but cannot open anything. (Pictures, documents, audio and video files). what would be the solution for this ?

    Backontrack In Creator Nxt

I recently upgraded to Creator NXT, downloaded and installed from the Roxio Store. I have been testing the many components of NXT and when I start BackOnTrack there is no option for System Rollback on the One-Click Backup tab. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times but the result is the same. Is this feature only available in the Pro version? Since there is no mention of a difference in BOT between the regular and the Pro version on the Roxio website, I would expect the features to be the same. Anyone else encounter this problem?
  6. Computer died and was replaced as we had backups of the important stuff in BOT (BackOnTrack - Roxio Creator 2012 PRO), but as I am seeing on these forums, these may not have offered the protection that was anticipated. We have some 35, 000 pictures that we would really like to get from the backup drive. We can see all the files on the drive, but each file has an associated %%stream file with it, and this seems to mean that the file cannot be copied or read directly. How is it "restored" as the Original creator CD does not a restore program on it - which itself is a tragedy.
