I have been using Roxio Creator 2010 for several years, but I have not been happy with the results. My dissatisfaction comes from the playback quality of a video slideshow burned on a DVD and displayed on a Samsung 46" LCD TV. The images appear to be displayed at a very low resolution. The same images when printed on photographic paper appear to be very crisp / sharp. I am not sure if the issue is with the Roxio software or the TV setup. I have attempted to make several adjustments and see no difference. Knowing that my current version of Creator software (2010) is 5 years old, if I upgrade to Roxio Creator NXT3 or the PRO version will I see a significant improvement in the displayed video quality from a DVD? Thanks, Steve Metcalf

Photosuite 7 Platinum/creator 2010/creator Nxt2
Solefie posted a question in Creator NXT 2 Sales Questions
Hello Hope someone can help My computer broke down, and now a have a new with windows 8.1. I wanted to install roxio creator 2010 but I've lost my back up disk. Instead I tried to install Roxio PhotoSuite 7 Platinum (from 2006) - and guess what......it WORKED. It didn't work on Windows Vista or Windows 7 - but I'm very happy because I loved the templates for cards and calenders and fonts of which many didn't came with creator 2010. But I still want the creator 2010 or upgrade to NXT2 - but when I read about how to upgrade, it says that it automatically uninstalls the program I'm upgrading from - and now I'm asking if anyone knows if I can have both programs (PhotoSuite and NXT2) installed at the same time? And does anynone know if It is possible to install the Creator 2010 though I have missed my back up disk. I'm only interessed in the part with photos - does anyone know if the NXT2 is better or worse than Creator, when it comes to photo. Many questions - but hope someone can help :-) Best regards Kirsten- 3 replies

Creator 2010 Does Not "see" External Dvd Drive
FrustratedBarry posted a question in General Discussion
I have Creator 2010 on my notebook, running Windows 7. I recently purchased a Transcend Portable CD/DVD drive. The drive is "plug and play" and was immediately "seen" by Windows Media Player, Nero 10 and other CD/DVD related software, but not by Creator 2010. How do I convince Creator 2010 that the new external drive exists? -
Creator 2010 Extremely Slow On Win7 64Bit
lmederos posted a question in Program Errors/Crashes/Hangs
I am trying to burn TiVo shows on a DVD. I tried loading my copy of Creator 2010 on my computer, but it is agonizingly slow. Everything is fine until I "Add" a movie to the timeline, but still usable until I try to trim it. After that every action takes 3-5minutes (or more) to move to the next step. The system is running: - Win7 Premium - 64 bit - 8 core i7 CPU - 16GB RAM - 120GB free space - updated to latest drivers I can run Photoshop CS6, Adobe PremierePro, After Effects, and several 3D animation packages in this system without any problem. Could this be related to the 32 software running on a 64 bit system? I have confirmed the apps are installled as 32 bit. I remember seeing similar things with video from my SLR before Adobe updated the PremierePro to 64 bit. Any help is VERY appreciated.-

I can no longer convert TIVO files for DVD or portable player. When I select "Movies" in "Copy & Convert Video" I receive a message that states there are files protected by DRM in the folder. The folder display does not show any TIVO files. I have had Creator 2010 since it was released and have converted many TIVO files. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing both TIVO desktop and Creator 2010 but to no avail. Anyone have any helpful hints of what might be wrong? I am on Windows 7 64-bit, Dell Precision 3500. Roxio 1.2.193: 5.0.0.0: Build 121B93A, R03; 500b22a, R03. Tivo Desktop 2.8.3(412370)
