    Toast 14 Compared To Idvd

Ever since Apple decided to stop supporting iDVD, I have been looking for software that would take its place. Now I am wondering if this new product from Roxio will do this. For those unfamiliar with iDVD, it offered various background themes, the ability to import chapters and give them labels. Above all, it sort of "wrapped around" the functionality that allowed the viewer to either play the entire video or else choose a specific chapter. It allowed for music to be playing in the background. And, of course, it allowed for a DVD to be burned from within the application. It also allowed for the creation of a disk image. I would appreciate hearing if the new product from Roxio will handle this. Many thanks.

    What Do I Need?

My church is wanting an easy way to make a DVD from a video/audio feed. The video comes from a Sony D90PTZ camera and uses an Svideo out (could use regular VGA out as well). The audio comes via a L/R RCA cord from our main soundboard at the moment but would prefer other options. Tried a Startech USBSVID2USB3 but have issues with Windows 8 sound lag and huge file sizes. Have used Roxio in the past and like them. What current product(s), both hardware and software, would work in my windows 8 environment?
