    A Few Hiccups

I want to thank you for your time in advance to help me with my issues. I will be eagerly awaiting feedback! I've recorded some games on every console and have experienced a few issues with this device. I have had successful videos created with this product and am happy with my purchase yet these issues are now diminishing the experience. So finally, I ask for your help! I have the Roxio Game Capture Pro (NO HDMI) My Roxio game capture, when plugged into my computer and my running game console, the display on my (Dynex) television flickers on and off. This is only part of the time, so I presume it's an issue with the cables. The cable is a hybrid output for Wii, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. I do feel that this cable is the culprit for this issue. If it could be anything else, what are my suspects? To a more recent and important issue: Videos play in double speed when in the production editor. Now, after I saw this I immediately thought it could be the playback speed. So I double clicked the segment, only to find that the speed is normal. After resetting the program a couple of times, there seems to be no issue. What's with the change? I've also had this issue when reviewing an entire project (multiple scenes of video from different sources) and while viewing the whole video in one segment, a snippet would be in double speed-thus throwing off the remainder of the video. Any feedback is appreciated. Thank you for your time! Respectively, Joseph
  2. Hey guys, maybe you can help me figure out what the problem is with my setup. I've been trying to capture on my Wii on my laptop with my Roxio using the YPbPr cables, but every time I have my laptop plugged in with the A/C adapter, it makes my TV screen flicker so bad I can't clearly see what I'm doing in order to make a good recording. When I unplug either the A/C adapter for my laptop, or unplug the USB cable for my Roxio, the picture on my TV goes back to normal. It's almost as if the A/C adapter and the USB cable are interfering with each other. What are the possible causes and fixes for this? Thanks for any help you can offer.
  3. This is going to hard to explain but i'm going to try anyway. I am having an issue with the roxio where it randomly causes my tv picture to blackout and then re-appear. I was at first able to live with this as it doesn't affect my recording at all, but recently its been blacking out much more constantly (around every 1-5 seconds) and stays blacked out for around 5-10 seconds which is really annoying as i literally don't have any idea whats happening in my game. If i had epilepsy i would be dead. The below file shows whats happening. Roxio Error.wmv
  4. I just got the game cap on saturday for my PS3 and I've been trying to hook it up. I finally got it all set up for my laptop and it looked alright but my laptop can't handle recording anything (ex. Fraps) so the video was just really choppy and laggy. So I decided to try hooking it up to my dad's PC which is much better then my PC upstairs. -Windows 7 Ultimate 32-Bit -8 Gb RAM -2, NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GSO 512 -Intel Pentium D CPU 3.40 GHz So I hooked it up, install the software, installed the service pack 2 patch, and the screen is all flickering and flashing. If it was just a little I would probably feel better but this is like unwatchable. When I try to adjust the TV Standard, I can kind of lower how much flicker but it's still there every few seconds instead of all the time. I've tried every standard, I tried switching USB cables, I tried switching USB ports, I tried flipping the component cables on the game cap, I tried changing the output resolution of my PS3 to every possible variation and I still can't get it to work. My TV screen is fine though so I don't know what's going on. Unlisted Test Video on my Youtube Channel: http://youtu.be/-sERIuu6qbM
