  1. I uploaded a video to youtube and the game audio is lagging. you see the gun fire and the enemy die and then you hear the gun fire afterwards. how do I fix this?
  2. I've been having these problems since I got my Roxio gamecap. The video up until now has been fine. However now, the video is flickering a lot. I have checked all the cables, and they are secure, so my only other thought is replacing the cable, but if there's anything else I can do to fix it, I'd prefer that over a trip to the city for a cable. The audio however, has always been a problem on Windows 7. It skips, lags, etc. I record only on AVI. I set roxio to high priority. I run as administrator, and I've tried setting the compatibility to Windows XP SP 2. (The reason for this being that the only time my roxio has worked flawlessly with no audio / video issues has been on Win XP, and going back to Win XP is not an option for me. Also the roxio was running on the exact settings it's on now, without issue) So it seems that only Win 7 is giving me the problems. I have included my DXDIAG to show my computer is more than capable of handling the Roxio. DxDiag.txt And a video example to show the exact sound issues I'm having: Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
  3. So, I'm using my VideoWave that I got with roxio game capture HD pro. I've used it for a while, but it's really frustrating me now. Sometimes, when I put videos into the timeline, I split the track, and after around 5 mins of no response, it does split and the new track has a big red (no entry) sign. From then on, it takes 10 mins of no response for the damned thing to work! I spent 4 hours last night trying to do something that should only take 30mins. So the question is, how do i get the video to work properly, whithout the (no entry) sign coming up?
  4. When I record a video,it works a dream...until it does a weird audio jump.It only happens for about 2-3 seconds, and the rest of the time the video is fine.If you can stand my terrible singing (I used Rock Band for this example because it captures the phenomenon well),here's a <15 second video: http://youtu.be/GALjpEvPLDg If it helps to know,I have a Dell Inspiron laptop running Windows 8.1.It has 8gb RAM,a 2gb NVIDIA GeForce graphics card and an Intel i5 processor.I only got the laptop last month so it's very new.
  5. Okay, so I just reinstalled my Roxio. Now when I start it, and records, all these sqares of different colours show up, and the video begins to lag. The colours looks like this: Does anyone know how to fix this?
  6. Alright, so when I go to record anything whether it be WiiU, Wii, or Xbox360 there is a major problem: there is a major lag (about 4 seconds) between what's actually happening on the console and what's happening in the roxio capture window. For example, when playing Call of Duty Black Ops 2 Zombies, when I hit "A" to jump, it doesn't register on the screen until about 4 seconds later. This problem is not restricted to the 360 however, it also happens when recording on Wii and WiiU. Any help would be appreciated. I'm going to leave a picture of my computer's system properties here in case anyone has any questions pertaining to them http://gyazo.com/63017f0faf052923a023c6b6838c6b71
  7. While video recording any game it seems there is lag occurring regularly, almost on a time table. The screen will just freeze for a second and skip. This only occurs while recording actual video and not while the recording function is off. This kills the point of even capturing the video. If anyone could help me, that would be great. If not then I'm just going to get another game recorder.
  8. another capture card, another issue, it seems like these things are never ending anyway, this thing used to work perfectly, until a few months ago then it wouldnt read that i plugged anything in, then when i managed to fix it, this basicly happened http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vMgE1CCFRU8i t starts 2 mins in, but then clears up at 6:30, but then starts again at 9:26 system specs: AMD FX-8350 Eight-Core 4128HMz Nvidia GTX 660 16GB DDR3 1866 MHz Windows 7 Ultimate it just goes on and off, on a similar timescale no matter what i try, always 2-3 minutes of clear footage it borks up i have tried using two seperate hard drives, both cause this issue, it even happens when im not recording and just on the preview screen, same time difference
  9. Okay so it seems no mater what editing system I use if it be videowave, AVS, Windows Movie Maker,Adobie or any other kind I have use I get the same problem. The problem is after recording my game and voice using a different program known as Audacity I go into editing and everything seems okay until I'm done putting my commentary in and editing the sounds and the after rendering in the video I would upload it to YouTube and then I notice the at certain point in the video ( mostly at the end of the video ) theirs this audio delay. Like lets say I'm in a cutscenes and I have subtitles on well the characters speaking will be talking but their dialog will happen like a couple seconds late. Now after looking for was to fix this problem I've discovered that it usually happen after a loading screen and like the noise that's happening in the game will be on a non stop repeat in the loading screen and stop after it's done loading and the the audio lag kicks in. So I feel like I tried every thing please help me! P.S I do use the roxio game capture HD pro to capture and audacity to record my voice while i play/record my gameplay.
  10. So when i edit videos and videos only the video and audio becomes very very choppy and will lad a lot. This hasn't happened to me before, only after the newest update. And when i tried to dock my media selector it said that the resolution was to high so I changed it to 1200x768 ( the minimum is 1200x700) and the audio stopped lagging but the video didn't. And when i export it's not laggy and when i recorded it it wasn't lagging. Help?
  11. So... I am trying to burn a single TV show onto a BluRay disc. The encoding is in h.264, as I get the infamous error if I try with Apple ProRes encoding (error: -18771). I did however get Toast to encode when I exported again in h.264. So, now I've got it finished, and was going to play the disc. First player: - Video: Is lagging at intervals of every 1-2 seconds. Almost as if the player has problems keeping up with the bitrate. - Audio: Completely fine... Second player: - Video: Completely fine... - Audio is out of synch and wont start until it's about 2 min into the video. I have burned and tested in different bitrates. from 10 Mbit to 20 Mbit. I have tested everything from .mov to .mp4. I have tested different codecs (most of wich I have no way of remembering all. I have tested 1080p25 and 1080i50, even down to 720p25. And it just will not synch. And I have found no faults with the original source file at all... As far as I can find, there is alot of errors with the BluRay and HDTV plugin to Toast (and it even seems to have a long history), so I am wondering, should we look for another software solution than Roxio Toast where I work? Any relevant feedback is appreciated.
  12. This is my 4th or 5th topic now and im getting sick of posting...i'm having so many problems with roxio editing software im gonna send it back if no one can help. RIGHT...my 5th problem is that when i cut the video (to edit parts out) once ive split it...the split section lags like hell and i cant even edit it to cut the rest because the second section is just lag...the audio is fine...but the video skips for the rest of the video...What the hell is going on?
  13. Greetings all: A few months ago, I bought myself a Roxio HD Pro Capture Card-it costs me quite a chunk of change. However, it does come with a nice editing program and is fairly easy to setup and use. No complaints there. I hooked it up to my PS3 and discovered that I get an "Blocked Signal" when I launch the capture application. "Hmm"-I thought. After some research I discovered that Sony has done this, due to copyright issues and that you need AV component cables and can't record directly through an HDMI. Fair enough, I can deal with that. I haven't yet gotten the cables I need to record the ps3-all in due time; I am a patient person. This however, seems stupid to me and sony's copyright issue, kind of defeats the purpose of having a game capture device. But anyway, the issue I have encountered over and over again has to do with audio and video lagging, I DO have the correct cables for my psp; which I have hooked up and tested and the animation and sound is delayed-I know this is a common problem; I have tried the suggested fixes on youtube and I am still encountering the same problem. There is a time delay that effects the game and the recording. Even when the capture button is not pressed: there is a delay between the sound and video from the console to the pc Does anybody have any suggestions as to how to correct this issue? As I have said: the youtube solutions do not work for me. and the profile for my psp is 480i. I actually like having the psp game on the big screen, as it doesn't hurt my neck; but the lagging makes it irritating. I have even looked at a few FAQ's and it says that the time delay is normal for the device-that doesn't seem right. My initial PC setup was a custom built xp machine with a 2.4ghz processor, GeForce graphics card ATI/Intel Chipset and some other stuff I can't remember, but it was low end. Luckily, shortly after I got the capture card: my motherboard went belly up. So, now I'm running windows 7 Ultimate Edition 64-bit AMD 3.6 gig processor DDR3 RAM a new powerful video card: the guts got an overhaul and I now have 11 usb ports as opposed to the 8 I had before. My fans and all that were also cleaned right out What is causing this common lag problem?
  14. I recorded a gameplay using the roxio hd pro, and on the preview screen its always laggy and there are screen tears and coloured lines running through the video. when i go to edit it, it lags and glitches a lot, i thought it was just the laptop running slow, so i uploaded it to youtube anyway...the quality is 360p...yet i want it in hd and cant get it any higher that 480p which looks terrible, the glitches look terrible and i dont know how to fix it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lb_NGqq5df0 Take a look at the video and if you guys can help me, id really appreciate that, its hard enough starting a gaming channel as it is...i could really do without the terrible quality Thanks.
  15. Hi, I just myself the Roxio Game Capture HD PRO and having some issues with using the software. 1. On the preview screen on capture the color is all green and distorted; however, it doesn't show up when I review the video. 2. When recording I notice lag during the game play from my screen to my game capture. My labtops specs: -intel core i7-2630QM 2Ghz -Ram 16GB -NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560M -I am pretty sure I updated everything Please someone help me resolve these issues.
  16. I really need help... You see, the game/program itself doesn't lag, but there's a significant lag between the footage on my TV to the footage on my computer. And I REALLY need this fixed... Also, if you can tell me a way to help me record my voice over the footage without the timing being off, that would be great...
  17. Alrighty, I'll just start from the begining. I first hook everything up, which was basically taking all the cords from the older non HD capture card and plugging them into the new HD one, plug in my HDMI cords, from ps3 to card, and another HDMI cord from the card to my TV. Install the software on my laptop and plug it in and never seen any error reports or anything. Now my ps3 and x-box are set up correctly, as I was using the non-HD capture card with no problems ( I just never really used it cause I like my HD) I boot up the program and right away I see in red text 'Signal Protection' and looking through the help text I've found nothing on it. I also noticed that the video had 3 second lag to it. It showed up fine on my TV. So I did the sudgested steps of turning off any anti-virus software and run the repair through the cd. I also checked and the software is version 1.1. Now when I opened the program, I get no signal. It still works through the TV, just my laptop sees nothing. Image below is what I currently get. I would be very thankful if I could get help on fixing this, cause for $120 it better work. Thanks! ~Aythadis Youtube Account
  18. I've been using Videowave since I got my Gamecap HD pro, and it hasn't been lagging much, but after a couple weeks and editing a few videos, it has been unbearably laggy. Everytime I split/move/delete video or audio. Everytime it lags, it freezes for around 45 second and I cant take it. Im not sure why, I have a decent computer. My specs are - Intel- i7 2670QM-2.2 ghz Nvidia geforce GT555 6 gb of RAM Windows 7 500gb Hard drive
  19. hello everyone. about a week ago i bought the roxio game capture hd pro and at first i was extremely happy with it. although i use fraps to record live commentary with my roxio. and what it does is fraps records my voice with the preview of my game on the roxio game capture hd. although where i run in to a problem. is that the preview of my game has an average of 2 seconds of lag. as where my headset is plugged derectly into my computer. thus having no lag at all. and i was wanting to know if anyone knows of a way to either make the preview on roxio game capture hd pro not lag at all(prefurred) or if they know of a way to make fraps lag by around 2 seconds. im heavily considering returning my 100 doller product for 2 seconds of lag. sound kinda funny huh? and i know a good number of people who want to do exactly what i want to do with it. and if the lag is never fixed. then that will make the difference between me advising buying this. as aposed to advising aginst buying it. so if you have a solution my problem please let me know ASAP
  20. Hello everyone, I recently purchased the Roxio Easy VHS to DVD 3 Plus to start recording Let's Plays of my favourite Super Nintendo games from when I was a kid, but when I'm recording and playing through the computer, there's a slight lag, and the framerate seems slower than that of the final, compressed product. Anyone have any tips as to how to fix this fps decrease?
