I'm using the latest version of Toast Titanium 14.1 (this is the update supposedly for El Capitan) and I'm running the latest version of El Capitan (10.11.3). Toast simply will not mount a disc image (Sd2f file) that the program itself created. Nor will it mount any disc image created from previous versions of Toast (and I have hundreds of them). This is a major bug, and it is present in many previous versions of Toast. Roxio has known about it for a long time, yet they seem to lack the ability to fix it, or perhaps they don't even care to try. I know of no other software that has a selection in its own menu (Utilities > Mount Disc Image…) that simply doesn't work. This bug has been reported to them many times over the last few years, but the company can't seem to support its own product. Does anyone know how to mount a disc image created in Toast?
Before I upgraded to version 14, toast was working perfect in the previous version. I am very disappointed in a software, that I've been using for over 10 to 15 years. The issue I am having with version 14.1 When I burn my CD, Not only is it slow but it will not mount when I am giving that option. Sometimes I will wait 10 minutes for it to mount, but get no success. My computer is an Apple: o/s El Capitan 10.11.1 Mac Pro (Early 2008) 2 x 2.8 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon 16 GB 800 MHz DDR2 FB-DIMM I really need help with this because I've already wasted 30 CDs, which is becoming very costly.
When would the following defect be fixed ? Defect: Toast Titanium 11.0.6 (730) mounts .bin (disc image) files incorrectly. Re-production of the Defect: Insert your physical Audio CD (14 tracks) to the physical drive. Click in Toast's menubar: File > Save as Disc Image Eject your physical CD to eliminate the chance you play it accidentally. Mount the produced disc image by clicking in Toast's menubar: Utilities > Mount Disc Image Result: What is mounted is *DIFFERENT* from the original CD. The original CD had 14 tracks. The mounted disc image is a single track with static noise. My system is a fully patched Mac OS X 10.7.4.
