  1. I am running Windows 7 SP1. My first attempt to install NXT Pro 5 did not finish. It got stuck while installing AfterShot 3 and locked up my desktop. My second attempt gave me the Install Error 0652. When I clicked the "OK" button, it then said "Another installation is in progress". I would appreciate some help. Thanks.

    Burning Iso With Nxt

Hi, A small group of us is working on a DVD project using different NXT licences and different computers (Windows 7 and 8). The problems (this is just one of them!!) we are facing are on all licences and all computers. It also has nothing to do with transferring files between computers (it still exists using all files from a single computer). The next thing to say is that I have solved the problem by going back to an old EMC10 on an old XP desktop - long live EMC!! - long live XP!! The problem is this - when burning to ISO from MyDVD for a movie made up of several .mpg files, when playing the ISO file the end of each .mpg file plays very jerkily. The last 2 or 3 seconds of each .mpg will not play smoothly. I've tried using different ways of generating the .mpg files. I've tried adding the .mpg files as separate movies instead of a single movie, but this won't work because of a problem with MyDVD (I've decided to cover this in a separate topic). Other tests I've carried out have convinced me there is a flaw in the ISO generation, not with the .mpg files. If I transfer all of the .mpg files to EMC10 on XP and burn the ISO file from MyDVD10 everything works fine - the ISO file plays perfectly. All settings are as identical as they can be between these different versions. If I then transfer the ISO file back to my Windows 8 PC it still plays perfectly. I am obviously having to use this as a work around, but it would be great if anyone can suggest a remedy for NXT, or maybe tell me what we are all doing wrong.
  4. Shout out to Mr Hardin... Thank you sir for assisting me about a year ago...your answer to my post got me over a hump. I have a Canon HG-10 camcorder (records video to its hard disk in AVCHD format) Prior to my recently reading your response I was unable to burn anything to DVD or BD and ready to write the Roxio 2012, NXT Pro and BluRay Plug-in off as a poor purchasing decision and loss. I did do a Repair to try and address the Menu Encoding Error I had received in past attempts. The trick of adding a VideoWave project as a movie to a MyDVD project and then burning that to folder set allowed me to finally Burn Data Disc and create a playable DVD! So to everyone on the forum, my current issue and question is... I attended a wedding recently and was asked to take the video. As stated above, I was able to use this method to create a DVD by performing a Burn Data Disc, adding the VIDEO_TS folder and burning to blank DVD in optical drive and it played back on player. Now I have created a new BluRay MyDVD project of the same wedding footage (although having performed conversion of the videos within NXT Pro from the camera's native AVCHD .MTS format files to .mp4 files) and in the same manner have burned the MyDVD Blu-Ray project to a Folder set that it created in the path I gave and to a MyDVD folder. Within this folder are BDMV, CERTIFICATE and Roxio sub folders. My first inclination is to "Add Folder" and select the BDMV folder and its contents as what to try and burn to BD-R blank disc in my BluRay burner drive via the Burn Data Disc application. When I do an Add -> Folder within Burn Data Disc program do I select the MyDVD, BDMV or the STREAMS folder? I would think the Menus I created would not function if I were to not include the other sub folders within the BDMV folder. At the end of the day I need to have both DVD and Blu-Ray disc version of the wedding video to ship to the wedded couple for them to be able to play on the respective disc player type. Thanks for any help or hints you all can lend. -kevin
  5. Hardware: Sony Vaio windows 8.1 64 bit, Intel i7 processor, 8 Gb RAM, Radeon graphics card with 2 Gb dedicated memory. Creator NX installed 6 months ago under windows 8 64 bit. Have just updated to Windows 8.1 4 bit and NXT will not load. W I do so he Roxio splash screen comes up followed by the NXT splash screen - then a message to say the program has stopped working. I have tried the following Running as Administrator, Running in compatibility mode for Win 8, Win 7 an XP all with the same result. I have run windows compatibility trouble-shooter which tells me its an incompatible program. Can any one help me get I working? Roxio - des it work with Win 8.1 64 bit ?
  6. Once I get my song files in order to burn a cd, I begin burning. After the cd is complete and finished, I go to play it and it ends up burning the cd in ALPHABETICAL order instead. How can I keep the order of songs the way I organize them initially? I've already wasted 4 discs and it does the same thing EVERY time

    Backontrack In Creator Nxt

I recently upgraded to Creator NXT, downloaded and installed from the Roxio Store. I have been testing the many components of NXT and when I start BackOnTrack there is no option for System Rollback on the One-Click Backup tab. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times but the result is the same. Is this feature only available in the Pro version? Since there is no mention of a difference in BOT between the regular and the Pro version on the Roxio website, I would expect the features to be the same. Anyone else encounter this problem?
  8. This is a somewhat trivial matter, but it is rather annoying and was wondering if anyone else had observed this behavior in NXT. The problem is operational. When I start NXT the first time after a reboot, I can access the Learning Center, but if I close and restart NXT, there is no access to the Learning Center. When I click on the Learning Center tab, I just get a blank window. Not the end of the world, but still maddening.
  9. Ok, I recently upgraded my Roxio Creator Starter to NXT b/c I needed to edit some music. I already had a video editor, but I'm about to start working on a video and I thought I would play with this since I spent the money on it. Well I can't really even get started!! If I try to "save as" it just crashes. I'm like, seriously??? Can anyone help b/c this is just ridiculous.
  10. My problem is; when burning a compilation to DVD after copy and convert, using Disc/Disc Image I get "The device is reserved by another application". What to do?! If I go to My DVD everything works ok. Using a another programme, the burner is accesible. What should be my work around please? Many thanks in advance, Mike
  11. Recently I purchased the Creator NXT software. First: WHen I download the program, its name is "Creator 2012 ESD". Is it really the good version of product I had purchased ? Second: When I try to install this one on a windows 8 PC then, there is a compatibility error message that printed. How to install this ? On the website there was explicitly written that NXT is compatible to Windows 8. Third: I tried then to install on my laptop which run into windows 7. The installation works fine on it. Thank you in advance.
