  1. PLEASE NOTE - THIS IS LESS A QUESTION AND MORE OF A KB ARTICLE! RECOMMEND DOING THIS BEFORE YOU TRY ANYTHING ELSE; WORKS 99% OF THE TIME FOR ME! When I have issues with Toast on any version dating back to Toast 14 (Mac), forums, discussion groups and even chatting with Corel/Roxio Support will waste time and ultimately take me to the same resolution. Before checking anything else, do the following below: You'll need your Toast Serial Key (located on your CD/DVD or via email from purchasing online). Without it, might as well contact Corel/Roxio to get another copy of it. Quit Toast Application. Open Finder and navigate to ~/Library/Preferences. Locate and trash the following files (some may not exist if never used): “com.roxio.ScreenCapture.plist”"com.roxio.toast.plist""com.roxio.Toast.LSSharedFileList.plist""com.roxio.MyDVD.plist""com.roxio.videoplayer.plist"“com.roxio.videoplayer.LSSharedFileList.plist”“com.corel.Toast-Audio-Assistant.plist” Empty your trash and reboot your Mac. Login and open Toast. You'll be prompted for serial key, then most problems solved. If that doesnt work, check for updates. Otherwise, this will fix 99% of your issues! Hope this is helpful!
  2. I don't know if anybody else is experiencing this, but since Aug 22 when Apple released OS X 10.10.5, Toast 14 will not burn blu ray or HD disks. The burned disks freeze, jiggle, and are unwatchable. I have been dealing with tech support for two days and they cannot fix the issue. They said to wait for an update. Nice. I use the program to create blu-ray DVDs for my work, and now I am out of business. If you have Toast of any version, and OS X, do not update to 10.10.5 or you will regret it.

Toast 14 Vs Toast 14 Pro

I am looking at the Toast 14 vs Toast 14 Pro comparison at http://www.roxio.com/enu/products/toast/#compare There are three Blu-Ray features I want to focus on: "Author HD video to Blu-ray Discs" "Burn to Blu-ray" "Create Blu-ray video discs" Only the last one is supported on Toast 14 (via the extra cost plug-in) but all three are in Toast 14 Pro. Questions: What's the difference between #1 and #3? What does #2 mean? That’s vague. I'm equally interested in data backup as well as video creation. Am I missing anything Blu-Ray features by only having Toast 14 + plugin? Thanks, Brad

    Bias Is Messing Up Audacity

I have SoundSoap 2, which came with Toast Titanium 11 Pro. SoundSoap uses BIAS authorization Manager. BIAS is now defunct. http://www.bias-inc.com When I try to start Audacity 2.0.4, a free Mac sound editor, BIAS thinks I need a license and starts popping up windows demanding that I either enter my registration number or buy a license. Eventually after I click cancel on the several windows, Audacity starts, but the menus are greyed out. How do I get BIAS to stop recognizing Audacity? OS X 10.7.5; Audacity 2.0.4; SoundSoap 2.

Background Images In Folders Wrong Size

okay, so for 3 years running I have been creating a hybrid cd. the pc side has an autorun file, the mac side has a background in the folder that says "click on this index file" or words to that effect. this year I am on toast 11, using the same image size as last year (and even trying with last years image) the background image displays in about 10% of the upper left corner of the folder. any suggestions?
