  1. PLEASE NOTE - THIS IS LESS A QUESTION AND MORE OF A KB ARTICLE! RECOMMEND DOING THIS BEFORE YOU TRY ANYTHING ELSE; WORKS 99% OF THE TIME FOR ME! When I have issues with Toast on any version dating back to Toast 14 (Mac), forums, discussion groups and even chatting with Corel/Roxio Support will waste time and ultimately take me to the same resolution. Before checking anything else, do the following below: You'll need your Toast Serial Key (located on your CD/DVD or via email from purchasing online). Without it, might as well contact Corel/Roxio to get another copy of it. Quit Toast Application. Open Finder and navigate to ~/Library/Preferences. Locate and trash the following files (some may not exist if never used): “com.roxio.ScreenCapture.plist”"com.roxio.toast.plist""com.roxio.Toast.LSSharedFileList.plist""com.roxio.MyDVD.plist""com.roxio.videoplayer.plist"“com.roxio.videoplayer.LSSharedFileList.plist”“com.corel.Toast-Audio-Assistant.plist” Empty your trash and reboot your Mac. Login and open Toast. You'll be prompted for serial key, then most problems solved. If that doesnt work, check for updates. Otherwise, this will fix 99% of your issues! Hope this is helpful!
  2. Vince Pedulla

    Sector Unreadable. Verification Failed.

I've just purchased Toast 12 as part of my archiving solution. I have been trying to create an archive of 30 spanned DVD discs. On the third disc burn of the series, I get a verification error. I've inserted new disks as requested by the interface only to produce the same error 3 times, giving me now 3 extra discs with verification errors and 2 discs with complete verification. I have checked these discs and they all seem ok but I cannot move past this error without possibly resetting the whole process. (which I have now done). If I attempt to to burn disk again this may well happen again. Leaving me with more wasted archive discs. I'm running up to date OSX (Yosemite) and using the latest LG DVD burner. The files I'm burning are raw Nikon files, tiffs and jpg (some very large ones greater than 1GB) . Can someone please advise on the way forward? Thanks Vince
  3. I ordered this package before upgrading my computer from Mavericks to Yosemite. Has anyone any experience with Easy VHS Mac and Yosemite? Thanks
  4. Hi I have just re-installed my MacBook ready to upgrade to Mavericks. I currently have Toast 10 and was about to upgrade to 11 before I install it. Does anyone know if Toast 11 is Mavericks compatible? The Roxio web site only states up to OS X 10.7, Mavericks will be 10.9? There is no email address for Roxio support I can find! Can anybody help please.
  5. After installing Mavericks yesterday, the encoding/CD burning process was so terribly slow that I had to cancel and download the free burn software to finish the job. When I say slow, I mean after 6 hours I was only at 25% completed. I was burning a couple of .m4v files (600 mb a piece) to DVD. The free burn software had it done within a couple of hours.
