  1. Hi there, I am having an EXTREMELY hard time with my new Roxio Game Capture HD Pro. Let me 1st tell you a little bit about my setup. I have a 65" LG 3D TV (Not relevant) and a 7.2 surround sound setup run from an ONKYO NR-470. My issue is I tried running my PS4 to my amplifier, and tried to tie in the Roxio from the HDMI out to the tv. I get perfect video; however, 0 audio. I then tried placing the Roxio between the AMP and PS4, meaning now the cable runs from my PS4, to the Roxio, then from the Roxio to the amp. I am able to get the sound to my PC this way; however, the Roxio is downgrading all sound via the HDMI out as 2.0 channel sound, which is not acceptable from a 5.1/7.2 audio source. My questions are a mix bag but I will try to explain them. Can the Roxio HD Pro output more than 2.0 channel audio via the HDMI out port? Why can the Roxio only collect audio from the PS4 directly and not through an amp? (Tried amp output in PCM and Bit Stream to insure it was not an audio trans-coding issue) My TV accepts audio via the HDMI out port on the amp so I know it is no fault of the audio equipment. I was very exciting to receive this product in the mail and now I am extremely disappointed. What is worse is the authorized reseller I purchased this from went out of business last Saturday morning so I cannot return it for the same product or one from the competitor (Futureshop). I have already invested so much money in an extra monitors, a condenser microphone, and a good set of headphones so my daughter and I can start a youtube channel together. I hope you can help.
  2. Hi guys, i just got my first cap card from roxio, but i have a bit of a problem. When i use the Roxio Game Capture HD Pro as a passthrough, the colors changes on my pc screen. I am capturing the main monitor of my pc and are running all through HDMI. HDMI GFX card -> Roxio Game Capture HD Pro -> PC Monitor. I don't think i'm doing anything wrong with the setup, but the colors are different when i use the passthrough. It is like they get all kind of blury. Can give you an example:

    Need Help Displaying To Tv

Hi Everybody, I just received my Roxio Game Capture Pro today(Three weeks since ordering..) And I have to say, I'm fairly disappointed thus far. I set up the Game Cap buy installing the software, plugging in the device, then connecting my xbox, and my display to the device. So upon starting up my xbox, the picture and sound DOES show up in the Game Cap software, however nothing shows up on my tv(monitor). The monitor just stays blank. The monitor seems to know that a device is connected to it, however it just goes into standby after a few seconds. And then when I plug the xbox directly into the monitor, everything's fine. So I'm getting a feeling that the pass-through feature does not work on my device. Does anybody have any suggestions? Any help is appreciated, CJ.
  4. So when I first unboxed my new HD PRO I connected my HDMI cables up and noticed that the passthrough did not work without power to the device. I figured this was normal since HDMI passthrough or splitter devices require power to work. Just out of curiosity I plugged the Roxio HD USB cable into the front of my XBOX Slim to see if the passthrough would work. It did not. After installing the software on my laptop, I plugged the USB into my laptop and surprisingly the passthrough still did not work. I then launched the Roxio Game Capture software and wallah! Passthrough worked...had the image on my TV and all was good. I clicked the Capture button and also had the preview window working. Excellent. I also noticed that AFTER the intial launch of the software - passthrough now works WITHOUT launching the Roxio Game Capture software - BUT I am still required to plug the device into my laptop. Sadly the XBOX USB port still does not allow the device to run it's passthrough. I am required to use a PC USB port for passthrough to work. Now - you might wonder - what's the problem with that? It works right?? Well.. yes BUT - in order to leave the device attached and play video games I am now required to either A) disconnect the roxio device and re-route HDMI cables or Plug the roxio device into my laptop for power. I don't want to always have to do either of those. I would prefer to just leave the device attached and plug it into the front of my xbox when I'm not capturing anything. This way I don't have to fiddle with the HDMI cables between uses and I can always leave it attached. Does anyone know if there is not enough current from the XBOX to supply enough power for passthrough to work? I know all USB ports use a 5v power supply - but I'm not sure about how much current is being provided. Or I am curious if it's just my XBOX Slim or if the passthrough is only supposed to work via PC by design. Roxio?? I do have another XBOX Elite Console in my house - I will try and see if that one works tonight.
