Roxio Restore Not Reading Disc (Mavericks)

I am trying to restore some backed up data from DVD. I have a brand new computer system. I have Toast 12.1 installed and have run the Roxio Restore from a DVD in an external DVD drive. The software works fine except that it doesn't seem to recognize the disk it wants. For instance it is asking for the 11 of 17 DVD. That disc is the one currently in the drive. Is there a way from within Toast 12.1 to restore data from a DVD?
  2. I am using Toast Titanium 11.1 on a MacOS X.8.5. (I haven't updated to 11.2 because I have a slow Internet connection where I'm located.) I can burn 100+ Gig files scanning across many DVD or BlueRay disks. However, when I go to restore the files with Roxio Restore v1.0.5, it quits at about 104 Gigs. This happens with all spans that are bigger than 100 Gigs in size. Is this a known issue/limitation? Has anyone successfully restored a 100+ Gig span before? If so, what version of Toast, Roxio Restore, and OS are you using? Any ideas how I can get my large spans to restored? Rob
  3. Hi, I just received 4 DVDs from our wedding photographer for our photos. It came with a "Roxio Restore" software in it. I believe these are backups created with Toast (I followed the link provided in the restore software, but it does not specify which version of Toast was used). When I run the Roxio Restore it keeps asking me to insert disc #1 even though that's the disc in the drive. I noticed when Roxio Restore asks for the disc by name, it has "/" in it (e.g. "Disc 5/20/12#1") while the real disc name seems to have underscore (Disc 5_20_12#1). Could this be the issue? Is there any way to restore these discs? I know I can copy the individual files manually, but some photos are split into multiple discs, so that would be the last option. I use Windows 7 x64, and I tried two different DVD drives. Thank you in advance. Deniz
