  1. I recorded a 3 hour and 48 minute VHS tape. When I go to the Export screen, the file in the video list has a warning about video length, but the file is greyed out and the split button has disappeared. I have tried all variations of check-marking auto-fit and span but nothing changes. This did not occur with my 2 hour VHS tape. I have attached a photo of my screen. Any thoughts? Is a nearly 4-hour video just too much for the software to handle? Thanks in advance!
  2. I'm having a few issues editing videos with the videowave. This is my first time doing video editing of any kind and I'm not the most knowledgeable person when it comes to laptop hardware and things of that nature. The problem is when I try to split the video, videowave stops responding for a minute or so and I have to wait for it to be responsive again. The file that I'm trying to edit is very large so I'm guessing that that might be the issue (the file size is 7.63 GB). Looking at the system requirements, I thought that my laptop met them. I just want to know if I'm doing anything wrong.
  3. This is my 4th or 5th topic now and im getting sick of posting...i'm having so many problems with roxio editing software im gonna send it back if no one can help. RIGHT...my 5th problem is that when i cut the video (to edit parts out) once ive split it...the split section lags like hell and i cant even edit it to cut the rest because the second section is just lag...the audio is fine...but the video skips for the rest of the video...What the hell is going on?
  4. Hi, all! I hope I don't get yelled at by one of the moderators but haven't really found the answer to the question around errors when trying to split a long captured file. I have one that's over 2 hours long and know it won't fit on a single DVD. I've tried to split it but get the same errors that have been reported by others. I tried using two different batches of blank DVDs (the -R variety) and still get errors. Attached are a few screen shots to help illustrate the situation. As a side note, I have successfully burned single DVDs (as recently as this morning) from source material that doesn't exceed about 1-1/2 hours; it was only today when I was 'instructed' by the application to split the larger file that I had problems. Thanks in advance for the assist! Terry Wall
  5. Here is my scenario: I am editing a video that contains clips of my son and my daughter. When I cut clips of my son from the video, I would like to put them somewhere. Eventually, I would like to end up with all clips of my daughter on one hand and all of my son on the other. This would be possible if I could start two instances of VideoWave and copy/past from one to the other. Since I can run only one instance of VideoWave, what is the trick to do what I would like to do? Thanks!
  6. This is one thing I haven't figured out, is there a way to split a large video file that I recorded and then split it up into smaller video files so i can render those and upload them to YouTube without having to trim it?
  7. Whenever I try to split my video more than once, VideoWave tells me that one of the resulting clips will be too small, even if the new split is longer than the previous. I don't know what to do.. I need help, friends.. Please tell me there's a way to get past this..
  8. I am using overlay to add a webcam of myself over my game capture footage. However there are parts of the video I want to speed up, however when you do this it only speeds up the video, the overlay remains unchanged and therefore out of sync. Is there anway without another piece of software to speed up the overlay at the same point as the video so it remains in sync after the edit?
