    Adding subtitles

I am wanting to add subtitles to a video in Videoware NXT Pro 7. I suppose I could use the Add Text feature but wondered if anyone had an ideas. Thanks all.

I have not, so far, been able to find a way to include subtitles in a project. Am I missing something?

    Soft Subtitles In Toast

Hi, I need to burn SOFT subtitles on a DVD. I absolutely need the subtitles to be able to be turned off and on using a disc menu. Is this a function in Toast? If not, can someone please recommend another program for me to use instead? -Kayla

Convert Mkv With Softsubs To Mp4(Apple Tv)

I have some MKV files that have soft subs on them. I want to convert the files so that they can play on my apple TV. Is there any way to have the soft subs burned into the video during the conversion?
  5. I was wondering what I need to do so that subtitles show up for when foreign language is spoken. its in the original file but when I burn it to an AVCHD or BluRay they are not there. So someone who's never seen the original would not have a clue as to whats going on with dialogue. The files are MKV. I nt know if that would anything to do with it or not.
  6. Let's see, hopefully I can give all the background info properly: Working on an iMac Mid 2011, Processor 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5, Memory 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3, Graphics AMD Radeon HD 6770M 512 MB, Software OS X 10.9 Using Toast 11 Titanium, Version 11.1 Burning a simple DVD (no HD) so I can watch it on a regular DVD player, so I'm using the "VIDEO" option and then the "DVD-Video" subcategory. In a folder are two files: Joe and Nancy.avi and Joe and Nancy.srt (yes, the names of the files are exactly the same, the only difference is the extension) Prior to upgrading to OS X 10.9 (Mavericks), all I had to do was drop the Joe and Nancy.avi file in Toast, click on "burn" and insert a DVD. Once finished, I could watch the DVD and the subtitles that were in the file Joe and Nancy.srt would automatically be hardcoded into the video (which is exactly what I wanted). The last time I did this was 2 days before upgrading to Mavericks. One day after upgrading to Mavericks, Toast will only burn the Joe and Nancy.avi file but I cannot get it to recognize the .srt file with the subtitles (and of course, it doesn't burn them when burning the video). I have made absolutely no changes to any preferences to any other applications, the only change has been the upgrade to Mavericks. Just in case someone needs this info, the Joe and Nancy.avi file has the following characteristics: Video: DivX 6.0, 720 x 304, 25 fps Audio: MPEG Layer - 3, Audio, Stereo, 48000 Hz The Output Summary says: Video: MPEG-2, 4.0 Mbps (8.0 Mbps max) Audio: Dolby Digital 192 kbps The day after I upgraded to Mavericks I tried to burn a DVD like the one I had burned a few days before with the Joe and Nancy movie, and it would burn the movie but not the subtitles. In fact, I tried to burn the same movie I had burned last (Joe and Nancy) and this time it would NOT burn the subtitles. It wouldn't even show them when looking at the movie in Edit mode while in Toast. Either Mavericks and Toast have an incompatibility or there is now a codec that is missing or not compatible with Mavericks and that is somehow affecting Toast. Has anybody had the same problem or even better, found a solution?
  7. I've recently started using Toast 11 and found out that I can merge two or more video_ts folders with a nice menu, which is great! There's one thing that isn't so great about it: the subtitles included in the vob-files aren't included in the final image... Is it a bug, a feature or something that will be included in the future? I know I can create a copy of the movie with hardcoded subs, but that's an option I don't prefer.
  8. Hi, I am using Roxio 2011 and its been working great for a long time... recently I have stated to use the Copy & Convert function and I am having a problem with the Options | Audio & Subtitle |Subtitle feature. I am unable to turn it off! The "None" selection does not hold. When I press "Ok" it will default back to "English Bigger..." This happens to 80% 0f the movies I am trying to convert How can I turn subtitles set to NONE or OFF... Using Roxio 2011 Copy & Convert feature Convert to Zune - From (original) Audio_TS/Video_TS folder/file format to MPEG4 I have tried selecting ALL files to only the Movie_1 file and nothing seems to make any difference to solve this issue. Anyone got any suggestions how I can resolve this issue? Thanks in advance Phill
